Great vibe. Solid Irish music by experienced locals featuring dance floor, fireplace and lots of short stools to rest on. A mix of tourists and locals and worth your time

My friend and I stopped here for a pint in our search for some local flavor. When we walked in, the place was full of Americans and other tourists. But that was not really surprising given that the location and tourism being the big money maker.
Luckily, there was trad music going on during our visit. Later there’d be a club, but we didn’t feel like staying.
It’s very family friendly. There were kids running around and having a grand time.

I fell in love with the lead singer of the headlining act the night The night I was at the pub. Beamish stout in hand, I rocked out and enjoyed hanging out with the locals.

This is a pub/​club venue. Its obviously popular with locals — at the time we entered there were three different bands playing in different places. There was definitely a trad session going on at the front. At the back was a dancefloor and a band playing chart favourites, and then a DJ. There was also a band going on somewhere in the middle. Amazingly the sounds didn’t interfere with one another.
A good place to get your dance on!
