Great place for a pint. The pub has some history to it and the locals will tell you about it if you happen to come by a little earlier (~4/​5pm). They have poetry readings on Wednesday nights and live music on Sunday nights. I haven’t attended either, but something to consider.
This is definitely your laid back casual pub, which is great for a comfortable pint. The regular locals are pretty friendly and the service is good.
They also have a projector where they will play games. I happened to catch a hurling game one day. You may want to ask in advance if you plan on watching a game there — as they can only play one game at a time and only seem to do so for major games.

San Francisco, CA
Reliable, comfortable pub for a quiet pint. Excellent Guinness, a good relaxed atmosphere and a very central location make the White House a dependable, regular stop for me whenever I’m home. (Sadly, these days, usually only during the holidays…)
