While touring in Limerick we will looking for a local place to have dinner. With a fourr and a half star rating on Trip Advisor I thought we would give the Glen Tavern a try. We weren’t sorry. We arrived before the chef, at 5:30, he was to arrive at six. The pleasant publican, however, seated us and took our drink orders. Before coming here I was in the mood for Indian food. I was surprised to see chicken korma with rice on the menu with specials of the evening. My wife ordered the homemade burger. The burger was a well-prepared patty, nothing fancy. It came with chips(fries for us Yanks), of course, as well as a salad and onion rings. My chicken korma was delicious. It was not the typical chicken korma that I would’ve expected from an Indian restaurant, however. The sauce was sweeter, not as thick and did not have the yellow coloration that this this usually has. And, of course, I could not order naan or a mango lassi. The Beamish stout was just fine. Pleasant service, good atmosphere and good food definitely a five-star place.

There is nothing really to talk about here. This is seems to be a good solid pub that puts out decent product. It has a nice vibe and the food is fairly standard fare. I had the bangers and mash which was served hot and a full portion of three bangers and solid amount of mash potatoes. My wife ordered the shepherds pie which she really enjoyed. So as pubs go, this is a decent stop.

Loved this pub! Really good home style Irish food. My favorite was the sticky toffee pudding. Lots of Irish beers on tap and many more in bottles. Love the atmosphere and décor.

Excellent little pub restaurant on a quieter street in the heart of Limerick. The staff was as friendly and attentive as can be. The food, I had bangers and mash, was incredible. The bartender told us they get the bangers from a local farmer. Totally worth it. Finally, they have an excellent selection of beers both local and not so local. Outside seating is limited but worth it.

What a wonderful little bar in the heart of Limerick. The waitress and staff were so friendly and were quick to recommend their best dishes. I went with a ham, cheese, and red onion sandwich with a side of chips and curry. The curry was delicious and the chips, according to my mother, were«the best chips I’ve had in my life». They were mighty good! We decided to come back for breakfast the next day. We were the only people in the bar. The owner seemed a bit surprised that we were there(maybe they don’t get much breakfast traffic). We both ordered a bacon sandwich which was good and crispy. We also each had a cup of coffee which was made by French press and was very smooth. If I lived in Limerick, this would be my go-to place. It’s unpretentious and serves great food.

The owner and bartender was excellent. He is really into micro brewers. He has all the big brands. The micro brew on tap was excellent. This is a great neighborhood bar. I had a great time!
