I found a place that makes coffee on my way to Dublin on a rainy stormy afternoon. I ordered my second cup with a couple of extra shots. It was a relief to find this place after enduring so many cups of instant coffee in the last couple of weeks.

I think that it’s called the coffee brewery now but I can’t recommend it enough. Double macchiato was beautiful, very smooth. Stayed for over an hour catching up with a friend and glasses were refilled with their free lemon and lime infused water. Very friendly staff and really enjoyed my first visit. Thanks! Katie

It seems as though this place is yet again under new management(I believe the sign inside said«The Brewery,» but the awning outside just says«Coffee Bar» — can’t go wrong there!) I can’t recommend it enough. The man behind the bar was hands-down the friendliest and most helpful barista I’ve yet encountered, the mocha I ordered was the best I’ve EVER had(yeah, yeah, not very hip of me, but it was chilly and I felt like some cocoa), and the place was spare but cozy. I want nothing more than to become a regular here.

Great place. Surprisingly good cappuccino and really friendly staff. Well worth popping in to check out if you like third-wave coffee bars.

When you think of coffee in Ireland, most people think of Coffee Angel, 3FE, Roasted Brown and other chains. Yet, just outside Dublin, is this gem. Now called Atlas Unit 1 and run by Adam, this is one of the finest coffee shops I’ve ever visited. A wonderful aroma of the coffee hits you when you open the door. Adam loves to talk coffee and his passion is infectious. He also sources his cakes from the genius that is Wildflour Bakery. Soups and sandwiches are also of the highest quality. Brilliant.

A really lovely coffee shop, well laid out and well presented. Without a doubt the best coffee you can get in Maynooth. The cakes are intense in all the good ways. It was an awakening for my tastebuds.

Excellent coffee. Doesn’t feel like you’re in Ireland at all! Trendy little place and not try hard. Highly recommended for a coffee. They take it seriously there!

Maynooth’s own little hipster coffee shop underdog. It’s a small wonder though, great coffee, tasty nibbles and a very relaxed atmosphere. I can’t put into words how good the coffee is, in the same league as 3FE or Fixx. I suppose the only downside is the size, there’s only about ten seats in the place. On the other hand, there’s nothing like having your coffee under the watchful eyes of Omar Little and Walter White!
