I am a big fan of Bön Bön! It has a super cute interior —(Pastel antique/vintage — I suppose) Teas come in ornate tea cup and saucer and are all different designs which is really charming. Today I had the small Irish breakfast — it was nice(but a bit cold) with high quality produce(black & white pudding is always a dead give away) I find its just enough and you don’t feel like your over indulging. I’m not crazy on the french brioche toast. When I had it it was just like eating cold brioche that had been brushed with a bit of egg. I prefer to have my french toast hot and well ‘soaked’. I’ve been here so many times for Breakfast and lunch — I’d recommend both. For lunch Everything I’ve had has been good — Soup, cheese tartlets, wraps.etc. They also do a ‘Operation Transformation’ lunch menu when the programme is on — if your watching your diet ;) Everything time I’ve been here the food has always been good and I will always go back. Service is good and the girls there are very attentive, friendly and most importantly helpful. They also have a selection of gluten free treats and dishes. Always a plus!

First time here for breakfast. Delighted with the decision. 2 delicious breakfasts. One veggie. One not. Great food. Served quickly and efficiently. Staff very friendly as ever. And all reasonably priced. Will be back. Probably sooner than later.

Had the«luxury breakfast»(€ 9.50): smoked salmon, fluffy scrambled eggs on toast. Also ordered a side of ‘potato cakes’ because I’m 40 weeks pregnant and starving! The cakes were really just a ‘farl’ not the homemade on the pan type I expected but nonetheless they were ok. I also had a soya cappuccino(which wasn’t as thick and frothy as the soya one I get at Coffee Lounge across the street) and a fresh squeezed orange juice(€ 3.50). Someone had taken the top off the salt shaker so the entire thing dumped on my breakfast. They quickly made me another without any hassle. Plate was piping hot which is always a bonus. Bill was € 14+; portions were generous, food was good quality and service was good. If I had room I would have topped it off with the carrot cake.

Oh my goodness. YUM! This was our very first meal in Ireland and was it ever delicious. Some local friends(the Gilliams) had recommended Café Bön Bön to us and we’re so glad they did. Such a lovely and warm atmosphere. We ordered the«small» Irish Breakfast and we wondered what on earth could ever come in the large one! The portion was ample to say the least! And the food, just perfect. The coffee also was equally perfect. We were barely able to put two sentences together, being terribly jet-lagged and having just survived driving from the airport(harrowing when driving on the left for the first time ever!) They were so kind and quick to serve. We definitely hope to go back! This was a perfect way to start not only our day but our experience of Ireland as a whole.

If it’s cakes your after, this is the place for you. It’s an elegant, refined and slightly pricey spot that really packs in the brunch crowd over the weekend. Their cakes are amazing, the selection changes a lot but the quality stays the same.

Lots of cakes, just like the name suggests! They have lots of yummy looking and fancy sweet things to offer that will definitely tempt you, so beware: P The place is very popular and nearly always packed, we here in Maynooth love our cakes. You can get savoury food as well here but sure people normally just eat cakes. There is an upmarket feel to the place and it is a bit pricey. Good place if you feel like treating yourself though.
