We only went for a drink, and the variety of whisky was better than elsewhere in turist places. We had a Talisker 18, which is a pretty good single malt from the isle of Skye. I also had a good glass of red wine that was Italian, but not local. The music in the bar was jazzy and catchy. I really liked the place. Recommended :-)

It was just around the corner from our hotel. I quickly did a Unilocal search in the hotel before venturing out for dinner. We made our way to Ca’Leon. It’s quite small like most stores in Venice, so our party of 6 had to settle for split tables. As all the diners left, they were able to accommodate us. The food was great. I really enjoyed everything we ordered, especially my tagliatelle shrimp pasta. They actually bring you a basket for bread. Most of the restuarants I dined at during my trip didn’t offer that. Us Americanos are so used to that, aren’t we?! Haha. Food comes out all together. Note: All the restaurants do that. So there might be a wait unless you tell them to just bring it out as it’s ready. Seafood is delicious here. It gets pricey. Everything in Europe is expensive. They charge for the bottle of water and for service fee. No need to tip. Ciao!

The food here is great. We were referred here by local Venetians as a favorite. Price was very reasonable and the service was good. We ordered the assorted smoked fish appetizer, branzino crusted with potato, ricotta cheese with spinach ravioli, and paired them with a bottle of Sauvignon. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I’d recommend making a reservation before hand. If you’re staying at a hotel, the front desk attendants are generally very willing to call ahead to make you’re reservations.
