This is our go to spot in Venice. The prices are phenomenal for that area and we find the food to be delicious and service is excellent. It can be a little tricky to locate, but we have used google walking maps with our iphone and been able to locate it every time. One of my favorite times of year to eat here is in the Spring. They have beautiful outdoor covered seating and it screams Italian fantasy movie scene. It has very typical Italian fair, but at the locals price. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Also, they will usually offer you an after dinner taste of the local lemonchello. Unless, you have an issue with alcohol I would not turn it down. It’s delicious and also an experience that you won’t forget.

Good prices and plenty of seating. Nice ambience if you appreciate greenery and the food was very tasty. Great spot for a date. Anchovies were a tad bit no NY salty.

We came here last year and accidentally found this place… It has a beautiful outdoor patio and really simple and beautiful décor. Service was perfect and the wait staff is very friendly. It was nice to get away from the tourist traps. I ordered the Polenta con seppie; slices of perfectly fried polenta in squid ink sauce. I’ll warn you that it’s as black as squid ink can get but it’s DELICIOUS! My husband had the Spaghetti Aglio E Olio, which is simply spaghetti with garlic and olive oil. As simple as it may seem, the ingredients are so fresh and the flavors pack a punch. Their dishes encompass Venetian fare and we left with very happy, full bellies. Thank you Trattoria Di Silvio!

We went to Trattoria Da Silvio twice while in Venice! The pasta is delicious, and not too expensive. My boyfriend loved the calamari, which they allowed us to get as an appetizer even though it is listed as a second course. They even brought out some pomodoro sauce for us to dip the calamari in(an american tradition that we couldn’t get away from). The only thing lacking was the bread, which was a little stale. The location is wonderful, in a very central part of the city. We sat outside on the patio both time, which was wonderful on a nice day! The staff was very friendly, even recognizing us the second time. We definitely recommend this restaurant to travelers looking for good pasta without breaking the bank.

Definitely the least favorite of all restaurants I’ve visited in Venice. While the outdoor garden and seating is a nice experience, the food is lacking. Seafood in the seafood spaghetti was not fresh and was overcooked(so was the spaghetti). The wine selection is just so so. There are so many other great restaurants. Go there instead. But there’s wifi.

Excellent spaghetti al nero and classic carbonara. Good value for money and apparently locals go there !

Calamari a little chewy, but fresh. Spaghetti with seafood is fantastic, salmon is very good, but it’s not a fillet so watch out for bones if you’re not used to it. We decided to come back for dinner, had an amazing dinner. The service was super friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

The staff at nearby Venice Resorts highly recommended this place, and I’m glad we took the time to dine here. We came at an off-hour, and there was only one other customer finishing up his meal. It’s a cozy gauntlet for the indoor seating, but the patio looked nice(it was wet when we were there) and festive. The house wine(rosso) was good as was the penne pasta. Spouse had the spaghetti bolognese, which was also excellent. We topped the night off with the tiramisu and a caffe… great choice! Our waitress gave us access to the WiFi — not sure if it’s normally given to customers, but we greatly appreciated the ability to catch up on news from the homefront while waiting. Service was friendly and never had an issue with ordering in English. The food was so good we almost went back for our second(and last) night in Venice, but we wanted to experience another ristorante as well.
