Bostaurus

Un lundi midi à Aylmer il est difficile d’avoir du choix pour les restautants.
Le bostaurus fait l’affaire sans faire d’étincelles.
Le service est lent mais correct.
Pour les plats, mes quessadillas étaient bonnes et bien assaisonnées ainsi que les frites en accompagnement. Le steak frites a plu à mes parents. Cependant, je regrette que ce plat nous ait été présenté avec les plats du jour à 10.95 $ (affiche à l’entrée du restaurant) sans nous préciser que celui-​ci était à 21 $.

On a pris la pizza 4 fromages avec la bière Shock Top. Wow! Super combinaison mais aussi une des meilleures pizzas 4 fromages que j’ai mangé. Elle était très généreusement parsemée de mozzarella, fromage en grains, emmental et chèvre. Un vrai délice.

For many Ottawa transplants like myself, this place brought me a lot of nostalgia feeling towards that region.

J’ai bien aimée ce restaurant, j’y suis allée dîner ce midi avec mon amie nous avons manger des club Sandwichs sur pain plat et j’ai adorée, le service était bon ! Je vais assurément y retourner :)

Went to Le Botaurus for the second time on Sunday for brunch. Similar to our first visit, the food was very good (when it did arrive that is…). I had the crêpe with green salad, while my wife had the bon matin. Portions were pretty generous and the presentation was appealing. Coffee was pretty decent as well.
The problem with this is that the service was, in a word, terrible (bad enough for a 3 star rating). The food took well over an hour to arrive (it’s breakfast…), the waitress never bothered to check in with us, and basic requests (e.g. Jam, more coffee, fork) took 15 minutes each on average to fill. That’s pretty long, especially because they weren’t particularly busy. Unfortunate as well because this contradicted our first visit here where the service was absolutely better than average.
That being said, we plan to return and try out the dinner selection… hopefully Sunday was an anomaly and the service will be more in line with our initial experience!

Went to this fine historic building for dinner tonight and was happy right away. Service was pleasant and efficient. The atmosphere was very nice (we sat on the back patio). I ordered the bostaurus pulled beef burger and was wonderfully surprised. The pure innovation of this dish was amazing. My husband had the fajitas and said they were very good. The toppings weren’t over food and fresh and the steak was grilled perfectly. I splurged and got the baileys topping cheese cake. Oh yeah it was great! Thanks again to our waiter, staff and chef!

Even though the power went out when we arrived — the food was amazing.

We went there for our Sunday brunch. Service is very nice and courteous. Food was delicious and they have a nice selection of beers and wine. The restaurant is near the Aylmer marina, so I recommend it for a visit and a stroll around the area.

Première visite. Deuxième étage très bien aménagé et belle ambiance. Service très courtois. Le menu est limitée mais belle sélection de vin.
