I can honestly say the cut up garlic sausage, cheddar cheese and Ritzzz crackers I’m eating right now whilst I sit on my couch are more satisfying than my meal last night at this place. However we got right in with no wait or reservation. Helpful and friendly service food came within reasonable time. Nice decore. I ordered the half chicken. Unfortunately the chicken was quite dry, the skin kinda soggy and no sauce or anything, I don’t know about you but I like a nice crisp skin with juicy Moist meat underneath. Oh and bring your bank roll fellas this place ain’t cheap.

The place looks fancy however I wouldn’t expect to see Italian food in Greek restaurant. You get nice shot of uzo in the opening. If you get here take the chicken Slovakia dish as thiamine is the most Greek dish you’ll find here

Phenomenal! We have traveled far and wide for Mediterranean food and this place raised the bar! Service was excellent and the food was spectacular. Everything was fresh, made in house, including the pita. Rarely do restaurant take such effort. Delicious. From the starter hummus with pita, to the greek salad, and donair pita and chicken souvlaki pita we ate for lunch, we were totally satisfied. Thanks for a excellent dining experience! Wish we stayed in Banff longer or even lived there, it would be our second kitchen, no doubt.

Onion skin on the utensil, crispy calamari wasn’t crispy at all, fries very oily, we ordered 4 different plates, and all of them were very salty!

I took my mom here for dinner on the Saturday night of May long, and we had a very pleasant experience. Although we weren’t able to make a reservation as they were full, we came by around dinnertime and were lucky to get seated right away in the bar area. The ambiance of the restaurant was great — lively and welcoming. Our server was fantastic and so was the food. We ordered the roasted eggplant dip as an app and shared the seafood platter. The platter was very generously portioned and could easily feed 3 – 4 people. We ended up taking home leftovers. Balkan was recommended by a friend and I’d like to pass on the recommendation!

Very tasty food with a ton of flavour ! The service was prompt and attentive as well. We were very impressed with the restaurant and the surroundings. No complaints and the price was worth the amount and quality of food serviced: D

So.freaking.good. We made a reservation for Saturday night, but arrived early and they had no problem seating us. We started with the cucumber Collins and it was so fresh and delicious. For our meal we had the seafood platter and it did not disappoint. Everything was perfect and so tasty. One of the best meals we’ve had in awhile. If you’re in Banff definitely go! I’ll go back when we visit again.

The food here was awesome and I loved the location. It’s a big restaurant so it’s great for big parties or just to go as a date which is what we did. Loved all the food and I would recommend. The only complaint I had was the calamari is not great.

We had a great experience yesterday! Lucas our sever was attentive and is exactly how I like my service to be! From a former server to current! We had the chicken pita and it came with potatoes, Greek salad and Jollof rice! It was a great ambiance and we met some wonderful people!

This place isn’t really that great. A friend told me it was awesome so we made a reservation. It’s really long and narrow and all the servers seemed to be cutting each other off cuz there’s no room! I got a red wine sangria that came in a tiny wine glass and tasted like fruit punch for $ 13! We all ordered a bunch of appies and honestly it was nothing to write home about. The meatballs were dry, the ribs were fatty and the eggplant dip was bland. The cheese they light on fire was awesome but soooooooo small. I wouldn’t go back. Our server was nice though!

Had lunch with a large group and the service was A-​ok. However, the food was super Meh. Got the lamb gyro lunch plate. The main problem stems from the bland lamb and the outrageously bland tzatziki sauce. Was honestly like mayo. Ordered extra to put on my gryo but did not increase flavor. Tried some of the pork shoulder gyro which was better i guess, and the greek fries were popular, but overall not worth the 22 dollars a person

This was our first time here and it was it was an enjoyable all round experience. We came for lunch, our server was super friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The calamari was cooked perfectly, not rubbery like I’ve had at other places. The red pepper and marinated feta on my lamb & pork burger was the perfect combination. The portions were perfect. I’ll be going back next time we’re in Banff

Beautiful environment.
The food was well spiced and delicious. We tried Moussaka, chicken souvlaki and Greek soup. We liked them all.
The waiting time without reservation was about 30 min on Friday night.

Food was amazing with nice presentation as my first try for Greek food. Service was just perfect. Recommended and will try whenever I visit Banff next.

We came around 3 pm and shortly after heard the staff informing others that the kitchen was closed until 4pm while they switched to the dinner menu — lucky we got our order in before closing!
We ordered the Friday lunch special — pulled pork pita, soup, and fries all for only $ 12! The fries were fresh and crispy with some spices — delish! The sandwich and soup were luke warm at best so we requested they heat it up… I’m pretty sure they just threw the plate in the microwave as the fries came back a bit soggy and the pita still has the missing bite.
The staff is friendly just don’t think food should be served luke warm — esp soup in 30degree weather?!?

I was impressed with the food. After being in the national parks for a few days, I had come to think that all my culinary adventures were destined to be overpriced and unexciting. Until I found this place. The gyro was delicious and came with some good rice and veggies underneath.
The only reason I can’t give this place five stars is the service/​ambience. Waitress was kind and patient, but seemed to forget that we were there. Maybe it was because we were in the corner? It usually took a few passes until we could get her attention. Plus, you could hear the music from the club/​bar next door — it was really loud. I wish they could have done something about that.
If I could just order the gyro for takeout, I’d do it.

High end restaurant along Banff Center, huge place can house morethan a 100 clients. greek inspired design. Free wifi. street parking, good service. The server keep coming back to us to see what else we need. thats the service i wanted… pricey place. The greek bread is always hard. that is why i never enjoyed it… for the third time in my life i i had a bison meat… i told them i want it medium well but it came rare… im close to dying of hunger so i ate it… pinkish meat but not bad… wash room is clean, noise level moderate… neat restaurant cozzy… i may say this is one of the pride of Banff…

Amazing food here. The waiter we had was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good tips on recommendations of what to order. The service was very professional. Food came at a good pace even tho it was busy. We were told by the waiter that the owner is from Greece.
My girlfriend and I ordered the seafood platter which was more than enough for the 2 of us. It was all freshly made and well seasoned. The calamari was delicious and wasn’t rubbery.
The pita bread is a must try! It is homemade and made fresh everyday. The recipe is by the owner and brought over from Greece.
They have a full bar and a wide selection of beer and wine as well as mixed drinks. There is also Greek night, which is on tuesday and wednesday nights if I could remember but there would be belly dancers for entertainment during Greek nights.

A group of us decided to celebrate our friend’s birthday by doing a day trip to Banff. Lots of walking around and shopping can definitely work up quite the appetite, so when we looked at the outside menu for this restaurant, we all agreed to give it a try. Greek food is one of my favorite cuisines, so I was very excited to try this place.
When we first walked in, the host (who I think might have been the manager as well) asked «Do you have reservations with us tonight?» We said no, which caused him to let out a big sigh while pointing to the last available table asking if we wanted it. Bad first impression as he made it seem like a huge favor that he was even seating us. We get seated and he drops off the menus and quickly leaves. Luckily our waiter was awesome. Really friendly and attentive. Ok, things are getting better!
I got the Linguini Mediterranean, and it was great. Huge portions first of all! This dish had sundried tomatoes, feta (drool), olives, red onion, green peppers all in a tomato sauce. I’m a pasta lover, so this dish hit the spot. The ingredients all worked well together and the pasta was perfectly cooked.
Here’s the weird part. My friend loves souvlaki wraps, but they seem to just be on their lunch menu. Since they have a donair wrap on the dinner menu, she decided to ask if they could possibly do a chicken souvlaki wrap for her. The waiter said the kitchen didn’t want to do it because wrapping it would slow them down. Yet they have a donair wrap, wouldn’t that slow the kitchen down too? I’ve worked in a few restaurants, and I totally get that customizing orders can often put the kitchen behind. But she wasn’t asking for anything complex. The whole reasoning just seemed strange to us. Oh well!
Overall, I really enjoyed the food here. I give 3 stars for the delicious pasta and the friendly waiter. But as we left, the same grumpy host was there and didn’t even say bye or thank you or wish us a good evening. So I really can’t give it more than 3 stars due to other factors.
