I have been here a few times, and this place deserves 5 stars as every time I have been here, I have always had a great experience. The menu has variety and the friendly staff have no problem answering questions and making recommendations. The food comes out at the longest, 15 – 20 minutes(even when the place is packed) and is always delicious — no matter what I order. I truly feel this is one of Burlington’s hidden gems when it comes to eating out!

We ate here on a recommendation during the colder months and it was a literal embodiment comfort food. The server advised us on the different options in fish(we chose different dishes) and it was delicious, with a good and even amount of batter without too much oil. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming and the décor was very modern. We will definitely be coming back again.

This place was amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for the best fish and chips that Canada has to offer. I had both the halibut dinner and a piece of cod. And both were fried to perfection, the cod was juicy like it should be and the halibut was simply amazing. This restaurant would easily banked a five star rating but I had to take one away for one reason. This place is advertised as being gluten free(which my fiancée has to be) and they only offer gluten free on Wednesdays. The rest of the week they use the same frier for everything. Oh, and the waitress was amazing, very friendly, cool and helpful.

Greasy fish and chips. The oil needed to be changed as well. I saw the waitress pull what I think was rice pudding out of the fridge, scoop some into a bowl, microwave it, then scoop some into two glass dishes to serve. The calamari was chewy and cooked in the same smelly old oil. It cost as much as a full service upscale restaurant, but it was barely as good as fast food at best. Think Long John Silvers only worse.

I went on Canada Day yesterday and the place was fairly empty, which was great because I didn’t want to have to wait long. We got the Tex Mex Poutine, Halibut Dinner, and Seafood Linguine. If you only try one thing here, I would recommend the Tex Mex Poutine – the chips are so crisp and it’s not like most poutines where the fries are soggy and soaked in gravy/flavouring. As for the Halibut Dinner, the halibut was delicious but the fries weren’t as crisp and well done as the poutine. The difference between the Halibut Fish & Chips and the Halibut Dinner is that you get one regular choice item so I chose coleslaw but it tasted worse than average. I suggest just getting the Fish & Chips and not the Dinner. For someone who doesn’t like seafood, the Seafood Linguine was actually really good. It comes with 2 pieces of garlic bread which are cooked to perfection – soft in the centre and crisp on the outside. Overall, food-wise: everything tasted delicious and the only thing I really didn’t like was the coleslaw. As for service, it’s really quick and friendly. Our waiter came to take our order right away on an iPad(or some other touchscreen device) and we got our appetizer within around 2 minutes, and meals within around 10 minutes. He also came to check up on us afterwards to make sure we were doing okay. Even though this place is quite a drive from my house, I would definitely go back.

GLUTENFREEFISH N CHIPS! And it tastes great. I’ve had gluten free fish n chips in Ottawa that was good but this is excellent.

Good fish and chips place. Reasonable prices. Nice patio. Friendly service. Clean. Love they give you a squeeze bottle of tartar sauce. For those who like to drown their fish in that stuff.

Just had lunch. brand new Fish and Chip location in Burlington. The service is quick and friendly. The patio has about 20 seats. Nice umbrella coverage! The restaurant is not yet licensed but it will be soon. The portion sizes are generous. The prices are reasonable. The 2 piece cod looks and tastes amazing! I’ve also had the halibut which is also very tasty. The batter is light and not too heavy. I am sure you can ask for a heavier coating. My Friday lunch group just added this fish and chip gem in Burlington to our restaurant choices! Edit.I had to re-evaluate my rating for Pier 39 after a recent visit. I dropped 1 star because although they were licenced. you could not drink on the patio. Also the portions seemed a little on the small side since the last visit.

We visited this place for lunch and it was a nice warm day today so we decided to eat outside on the patio. This place used to be a coffee and bagel place in the strip mall beside Chapters. Unfortunately this establishment is still waiting for their liquor license so they can’t serve alcohol just yet. Each of us ordered something different: 2 pce haddock and chips, 2 pce cod and chips and 1 pce halibut and chips. Each order came back in under 10 minutes. The portions are surprisingly large. The 2 pce orders are 15 dollars while the 1 pce halibut was 13. For a 2nd halibut pce the meal would have been 21 before taxes. Halibut is the firmest, fullest and heaviest of the 3 but is the most expensive as well. Each plate came with a small vinaigrette cole slaw and a couple lemon slices. The fish I had ordered was the cod and it was well nicely lightly battered and the serving of fries were not greasy and were well cooked and tasty. We will be returning to this place for lunch.

Went here tonight from hearing all the good reviews here on Unilocal.I ordered the 2 halibut & chips which ran $ 23.75(tax incl) to go. I took the food home only to find that I only received a one piece of fish and chips. I checked my receipt which showed 2 so I called the restaurant to let them know I was shorted a piece of fish. He told me I would get a credit. I thanked him for trying to rectify the error. I then received a call back from pier 39 who now said that he spoke to the cook who said that there was definitely 2 pieces pretty much calling me a liar. I’ve never been more insulted. I let him know how extremely disappointed i was with this lack of customer service and would never return… Oh and the fish and chips that I did get we’re pretty bland and tasteless. Skip this one

Went here this past weekend and ordered the halibut platter and the food was excellent. Great quality food and excellent service with very courteous staff. The halibut was excellent and not too greasy like other restuarants. Portion sizes are very generous as well. My fiancé ordered the seafood pasta and that was also very good. Lots of different items on the menu and something for everyone. Will defintely come back again.

Stopped by here when I went back to Toronto for a visit. Had a craving for fish and chips when I landed at Pearson and this was the closest. Looks like they just opened. Service was pretty good and food was good too.
