The Queen’s Head Pub

Although food to the table room a bit of time, it was definitely worth the wait. Muscles, brie, artichoke dip, burgers were amazing! Also a quaint music duo played jazz pop (including the Spiderman theme) on a sunny Sunday afternoon. And to top things off, Megan our server was kind enough to keep the shady section of the patio open for me to sit in the shade. Will definitely come back.

We went there to try the Taste of Burlington lunch and we were delighted with it. I had the salad (mixed baby greens tossed in a maple Dijon vinaigrette topped with toasted butternut squash & toasted pumpkin seeds) which had a fun mix of textures, the tasteful lamb burger and a delicious banana bread french toast. We are visit them more often

While only a «newer» Burlington resident, I have had the opportunity to stop into this watering hole to quench a Guinness sized thirst and enjoy every moment, especially during the summer months… until last St Paddy’s day.
Upon arriving, we held up to the bar to order 3 beers and as I was about to pass back two of those beers to the gentlemen who accompanied me into the place I was told by a bouncer (I think) that I could not hand one beer to one of my guests. He told me that he had been harassing a waitress etc… We had just walked in and went straight to a crowded bar? How did this happen so fast? AND… why did he not stop me from ordering and paying first knowing I was with the alleged troublemaker? That said, as I left the three beer with my other guest I went over to the bouncer to ask what the real issue was. As soon as I arrived another neanderthal with a long red beard and a biker «look» grabbed me and started to hold me back. As soon as I asked what the hell he was doing putting his hands on me we were both thrown out with no discussion. I could not even tell my other guest we were no longer invited.
The manager (younger fellow in a baseball cap and beard) threw me my coat and would not enter into any conversation at all. Throughout, I kept a cool head and just wanted to talk this through. Ultimately we left and my guest had to text us to find out where we were. Sorry guys… not handled well especially since we do not make a habit of causing a ruckus in a local bar. Poor representation of a local establishment. Disappointing for sure. Jury is out on this stop next time???

Tried the place … food was pretty good but portion of vegetables was very poor. Waitress was snarky and charged extra for a few onion strands in a salad. Expensive for what it was …

Good selection of beer. Nice pubby atmosphere. The food needs improvement. I figured I’d go for a safe pub grub so I ordered sheppards pie. The meat was nasty and the potato on top was… well, I honestly don’t know what they did with it It wasn’t mashed, it wasn’t whole. I honestly don’t know what they did. There were some unrecognizable veggies in it. The only saving grace was the side of brussels sprouts which were really tasty. I don;t think I’ll be back just because of the food. The server was nice.

Stopped in to our favourite pub in Burlington, for lunch. I have never had a bad meal here. Because I was just getting over a cold I wanted something warm and comfort food like. I ordered the day’s special, curry squash soup and croquet Monsieur sandwich. The first bite of the sandwich was soooo good! The smoky flavour was to die for! The soup had an extra spiceyness. Great food Great atmosphere! Servers were excellent.

Mediocre food at prices to compete with restaurants with much higher emphasis on quality.

My wife and I went there for July 4^th. The patio is OK. The food wasn’t that great and the service didn’t make up for the barely passable food. I will not be returning and I don’t recommend this place, there are better options in Burlington.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, the service was minimal at best. While she was friendly enough, she put our food orders off since we were a smaller party and the larger party that came in AFTER us apparently needed tending to the entire night while we sat and waited for orders for over a half an hour, on a Sunday night. The waitress actually told us that our food will be last to come and the large table gets theirs first… are you serious? We were sitting and waiting to order at least ten minutes before everyone from the large table even arrived.
I ordered the quesadillas, which were supposed to come with avocado, black beans and cilantro as the main ingredients, there was one tiny slice of avocado on one piece and no cilantro, I even opened up the quesadilla and searched for cilantro and nothing… My boyfriend ordered the royal poutine and it didn’t come with gravy… what is a poutine without gravy? Cheese and fries that’s what and not worth your money at all.
I actually considered dining and dashing because the waitress took forever to bring us the bill… having large tables is not an excuse to not be friendly with your smaller ones and all but forget that we exist, we are customers too after all.

Burgers are «toronto priced» and not much to write home about. I tried to order some Stilton blue cheese on my burger but it came out with bog standard cheddar. Someone got something screwed up in the kitchen. My GF had the fish and chips and she noted it was without flavor. Oddly my burger, even with the cheese, lacked any kind of flavor. The fries are okay and there are a few decent craft beers on tap. Decent patio. Not really worth going back.

Last time I went I had the nachos with steak as added topping. One of the best nachos I’ve had in a long time in a restaurant. I highly recommend it !

Came here by recommendation. Excellent bar: absolutely fantastic. I went during the late lunch service. The waitress was nice and pointed us towards the burger menu. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly, with great décor. They had soccer/​football playing on TV, so we ended up staying for some time. My friend and I had domestic beer on tap (Coors and Molsen). I don’t know what they do to the beer to make it so perfect, but the beer had the best head on it that I’ve ever seen, and was super cold. For food, we both ordered the «taco burger». My burger’s bun was a bit soggy on the bottom, but was otherwise excellently crafted. The guacamole and the small bits of nacho chip toppings were a nice touch, and the fries were well-​seasoned and not bland by any means. My friend had no complaints, and he’s usually pretty picky about having a good burger, so I took that as a good sign. The bill was about what you would expect for bar service in the area.
Overall, I had a great time. Would definitely come back.

Queens Head awesome place, rocking it up here tonight with Jonny kerr and the Fab Shari Dunn !!! Highly recommend

a cool english pub, with good food, regular folks at the bar (they knew each other and seem to come often), friendly staff. Being a «tourist» on a business trip and trusting Unilocal and a nice person on the street, found me a different place to enjoy a chicken pot pie (could have used a little more chicken) but plenty tasty and friendly waitress.

Decent pub with a nice patio, always great during sound of music. Service was about average, nice selection of draft beers.

Just what you’d expect from a British Pub. Boddington’s and Smithwick’s on tap (plus a dozen or so others), fantastic service from our waitress. Didn’t try the food.
