Transformers, Gundam kits and more! It makes me so happy that this store exists. I’m not super hardcore into Transformers, but I love the fact that there’s a place that has a fantastic selection of hard to come by collectibles when I really want to buy one. Plus the people here are super friendly.

Large store filled with LOTS of transformers. So if your a transformers fan, it’s defiantly worth checking out. They even had models imported from japan. The store also has a good selection of Gundam kits at good price. They also have a few magic cards, games and other interesting items. However as a collectible/hobby store it primarily focuses on transformers so if your looking for super heroes, sci-fi, comics, etc… look else where.

This store is not my usual haunt, reminds a bit to much of the comic book store in the Big Bang theory but a quick check in today reminded me why it’s always best to check the little guy. The store has recently added board games to its line up of stuff and I was looking for good old Settlers of Cataan for an Xmas gift. Earlier I had spied the game at one of those seasonal calendar stores elsewhere in the mall. They had it for $ 54.99. I knew Starlite Citadel sold it for quite a bit less but they were out of stock so I braved the army of captain sweatpants playing war hammer and went to Ages 3 and up. Found the game for $ 35.98. Same mall, $ 19 dollar price difference. It certainly paid to check the independent retailer and skip the chain!!!

When I hear that a store has Gundams, it is always a huge letdown. Well, Gundam Workshop wasn’t a letdown back in the early days, but now you just can’t get much selection anywhere. The huge selection of HGUC, MG and other kits automatically makes this store a winner. Sometimes I just want to walk in to a store and buy an HGUC Zaku III. And this is the only place left where you can do that, and they really have a great stock to select from. Compared to model stores, it is very reasonably priced, and compared to animé and comic stores, the selection is way better. If you build Gundams, this is the only place you need to go for kits. Not that you can get everything, but if it has recently been in production, there is a big chance they can bring it in for you if you ask. The price might be higher than HLJ, but you don’t have to pay shipping and sometimes they get the kit in a couple DAYS! That’s just awesome. No customs, no lost packages. Their selection of tools and model supplies is also steadily growing, and their selection of Gundam decals and aftermarket parts simply can’t be beat. There is NOWHERE else that carries even half of that stuff, let alone does kit preorders and doesn’t charge an arm and leg for everything. They even have Gundam classes; what a throwback!

OK I will have to admit that I will write this review for my BF. Just to let you know that he is not 6 years old but his heart was, once he entered this store. His eyes were sparkling… cute !!! Now it is great store for people who loves Transformers, Spawn, Star Wars, … I was amazed by the choice of toys and other goodies. To me the price is expensive, but now my BF would promise me that it is the price that it is supposed to be. It is a clean store, very spacious and the service was great. The guys at the cashier are as nerds as the customer ;-) It was a good experience for me even if I am not that kind of fan …(just a little bit but shhhhh, it is a secret). Youpiiiiiiii !!

It’s funny to see grown men wide eyed and in dreamland when they walk into Ages Three & Up. There’s everything from Transformers and Gundam figurines to board games. You see that Storm Trooper out in the front window? You can purchase that costume for $ 1200. That’s pretty hardcore! If your little boy/girl is into this kind of stuff, this is a great place to take them. Also for the kid in your husband too… I think we were in this store for a good hour.

The new Ages Three and Up is a VAST improvement over the old location. Now located in the old HMV spot this place is filled with Transformers, Starwars, and stuff related to table top gaming. They also has items related to BJD, and BJD customization such as customizable dolls, Toners, and doll outfits. They have some stuff from other series such as Macross Valkeryies, Gundam, the Arbalest from Full Metal Panic, and some super hero stuff. These guys love their transformers. This store PROVES that. They even have Japanese transformer toys, and have mecha shows playing on the stores TV. They have a couple of other figurines such as Iron Man, and Batman revoltechs. Part of me hopes they will bring in some other figurines, and maybe even a few comic books, and maybe dvds for mecha shows but this stores new location just opened so we will see! In the back of the store they have tables setup for table top gaming. I’m guessing tournaments and games will be taking place here in the future! This store also dare I say it a nerd store that is wheelchair accesible? Unless they put tons of shelving in from when I last when you can get a wheelchair in and out of this place easy which I couldn’t say about the old location. Congrats Lougheed Mall you just levelled up!

I was shopping at Lougheed town centre and found a store(Ages Three and Up) who specializes in Transformers and Gundam. OMG! They have a huge selection of Gundam models and Transformer collectibles from Japan. The peeps are friendly and they LOVE their toys. I left with a Masterpiece Rodimus Prime. So Cool!
