Lougheed Town Centre Optical & Optometry

I had a eye exam on Apr 17,15 with Dr. Mangat. He was very nice, however when I went to the place I always buy my glasses — the staff alerted me to the fact that this new prescription did not make sense based on my history. For example, it was weaker and I needed stronger! So, I called them and explained what my optician said. They checked with Dr. Gandham, the owner, and he said they would not re-​examine me unless I paid again! They suggested I get the glasses made and then complain if they did not work. As they were to be very expensive progressives, I was not going to have my optician incur this expense — especially when they alerted me to a potential problem. This logic made no sense to me. My husband and I have been going there over 20 years and I could not believe what they said! So, I went elsewhere and was re-​examined and it was confirmed that my prescription had been incorrectly written by Dr. Mangat. I would never go there again and am telling everyone what terrible customer service I got. Everyone can make a mistake but to not be taken seriously was what upsets me. Dr. Danielson who used to be there was great but these guys are obviously money driven and don’t care about their customers!
