Had a great time at Audrey’s moment for my sister’s bridal shower of 17 people today. Food: We had 15 luxury tea sets with an assortment of savoury and sweet treats. They were cute and delicious. The tea differed at each table(we had four tables). Of the two at our table I enjoyed the rose green tea. Ambience: the ambience was cute and quaint. We were able to enjoy the main dining area to ourselves while the other guests outside of our party sat in a different room. We didn’t book the entire place to ourselves. The size of the place is small, but it was just right for the party our size as we didn’t have much unneeded«attention» from others. Service: I loved their service. The waiter, Kenny, was accommodating and hospitable to the needs of the guests. He realized that my mom and grandma spoke Mandarin so he ensured to speak mandarin when serving them. As there were leftovers, he allowed us to bring them home. For the bride to be, they especially made a box of custom made pastries for her to take home and enjoy. When we needed an «unbiased» opinion to judge for one of our bridal contests, he acted as our third party judge. Overall, an enjoyable experience and good for hosting pampering events like ours!

Made a reservation, went there on time, made my husband and I wait for 30 minutes then 20 minutes more after we seated. I was like«What’s the meaning of taking reservation if they’re going to be this late? I mean, there’s nobody else but us in this café!» and our server didn’t even apologize. She took our order, served us tea and food shortly after. Place is clean, well lit, roomy and pretty furniture. Food and tea were okay, nothing special. I was bit disappointed with the service.

Spotty hours at the moment might be because they are trying to hire both a pastry chef and a waiter(!) — see the last page of the 2015-Sep edition of KLIP magazine, Vancouver edition.

My friend and I booked an appointment here for 12pm today and they were closed when we arrived. No sign on the door stating why they were closed during their regular hours. It was actually kind of confusing because their neon«open» sign was lit, but the doors were locked and the lights were off inside.

Took my food group here. There’s a new kid on the high tea scene in the city and they are in a non-descript suburban plaza near Metrotown. One of the best high teas I’ve had in the city and great price and quality for what you get. Attention t detail goes into the creations and presentation. You also are not rushed like at other tea houses. Make sure you make reservations beforehand and preorder the high tea. Like others said you cannot just walk in off the street as the make everything fresh and only enough for the reserved high tea guests that day. Atmosphere is quiet and great for chatting with friends unlike secret garden in kerrisdale which is noisy like a bowling alley.

I was unaware of this high tea place until it came on my radar recently by accident. My fellow Unilocaler, good friend and mine and manager of one of the meet-up groups that I am a part of, Simon, found this place through a publication. This place is tucked away in a strip mall, therefore, there is not much walk in traffic. They don’t publish their address on this page making it hard to search in the profile for them. This is a cute high tea place with lots of space and decent amount of seating. The menu for the high tea is very reasonable for the luxury tea set at $ 28. Most of the menu items are sea food orientated. I wasn’t in the mood for a lot of sweets, therefore, I just went with a salmon salad for $ 7.50 and doubled my portion. The salad only had 5 — 6 small 1″ by .5″ pieces of thin salmon. Against the bed of salad that was soaking in dressing, it was hard to taste the salmon. It did fill me up and was a healthier option. Next time I will get the dressing on the side. I had caramel green tea which was awesome. I liked how the caramel was subtle. They had a nice side of rock sugar. Because they don’t get a lot of walk in’s you have to make a reservation 24 hours in advance as to save waste they don’t have a lot of extras of stuff on hand. The menu does change every 3 months, therefore, I am looking forward to my next service. The lady who served us was very cute and polite. I just wanted to take her home in a box with a bow… she was that cute. Thanks Simon for setting this up for us. I had an awesome time with everyone. P. S. The china is made with bone china and teddy bear spoons and small fork.
