Cute little shop with brunch items. Ordered the breakfast special for $ 5 — good deal, but nothing special. Eggs, hot dogs, toast. Also ordered waffles, which were mediocre. The strawberry banana smoothie was disgusting… very watery and a bit sour. Other than the $ 5 special, everything else was overpriced for what it was. Would not go back.

First thought upon entering is that the place is super cute. Clean interior and just enough decorations to make it comfortable. We purchased the special off of axka(2 basic liege waffles, 2 liege waffles with topping, 4 drinks, 1 panna cotta, 1 cheesecake, and 1 pasta salad) for $ 19.30 Waffles: Very hard to eat. I like my waffles soft and buttery, but these waffles were cold and cracking when I put my knife through them. We ended up eating 1 out of 4 waffles. Panna Cotta: Very runny, it was not set properly. It was like drinking panna cotta soup. And I was so looking forward to this item as panna cotta is my favorite dessert. Cheesecake: My favorite item out of everything we’ve ordered. It wasn’t a very cheesy cheesecake, nor was it very dense. I would almost describe it as light and fluffy? Odd. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. Pasta Salad: What pasta salad? Didn’t see it on the menu. We were served greek salad. Feta cheese is my favorite part of a greek salad, unfortunately, hardly got a glimpse of it here. Drinks: I ordered the milk tea with coconut jelly. I’m not sure if it’s the coconut jelly, but the milk tea was very sweet. I prefer my milk tea to have more of a tea taste. Perhaps I ordered the wrong things given all the positive feedback? I’m not sure if I would go back again.

I live down the street from this shop and have tried it about 3 times now, sadly I’m disappointed every time. The interior is clean and well kept and the staff is very friendly but, the food takes forever to arrive and is cold and bland, the croissants feel like you have taken a bite of sawdust ensuing a coughing attack.

Small café, nice setting, pleasant music playing in the background. Very friendly staff. I wish there were more breakfast options than waffles but that’s fine. I like that they have wifi as well. Food was more like fast food but they seem to focus on the take out aspect more anyway.

Small but organized shop in terms of layout. Limited seating. Great snacks and drinks. You can get hot and cold drinks. Coffees and lattes aren’t their specialty(mine tasted weird), however, they excel in the slush and B-tea department. Customer service was friendly. Price margin was hit and miss on some items. No straight line method of pricing. Lots of to go pastries. Love the waffles.

I’m the only one in the café this morning probably because everyone is at work. I like the atmosphere with all the wood furniture and definitely enjoyed sitting quietly by myself. I had a hazelnut croissant and a cup of coffee. The croissant could be a little more crispy but I still enjoyed it. Owner is super friendly and helpful. I’d love to try the smoothies next time on a hotter day.

Scorching hot day today. me and my buddy wanted a cool drink so I told him about the smoothie I had last time. He got the mixed berry smoothie and I tried the mango orange. You couldn’t really taste the mango more orange. The mixed berry smoothie still my favorite tho. We wanted a light snack so we ordered the beef Jamaican patty. To be honest one wouldn’t fill me up. The Jamaican patty was spicy and flavorful but I wish it had more stuffing/meat. Instead of microwaving it like most places do, they actually grill it for you which was a nice touch. The white wood breakfast consist of a butterfly hotdog, one fried egg, two pieces of chewy hard toast and an under seasoned potatoe patty. Wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast, though it’s still healthier than Ihop and McDonald’s. Also tired the whistler mountain berry tea, it was so gross, like bitter flavour water, when I asked if they had any honey they said they don’t serve honey only sugar syrup and maple syrup. I put a crap load of both syrups and sugar and it still tasted gross. I recommend this place for those looking for a healthier alternative to the greasy bubble tea places and smoothies taste real unlike those places with processed sugar.

Whitewood Café is located across Metrotown(very convenient and easy to find). It was very clean and the staffs were friendly. I tried their Jamaican beef and chicken patties and they tasted delicious(decent price, too)! I also ordered a cup of mocha which had a rich coffee taste in it. I would definitely visit again to try out other beverages and desserts :)
