Food options was ok. The all you can eat price was good. The service was just horrid. Not polite, and they ignore you. Also, I would recommend not wearing anything nice there as the smell of the food and the broth will get into your clothing. Also, it’s best to shower after eating there.

On a night when I was desperately craving some Mongolian BBQ, found this spot through a Unilocal search. When we got to the restaurant for dinner, it was packed and the wait was nearly 2-hours. Instead of waiting, decided on the Thai restaurant next door, that had no wait and was very good. Came back though the next night, after making a reservation. Even with our reservation, it was still a 40-minute wait. Not quite the Mongolian BBQ I expected, but the food was good. The whole experience is quite a process. Go hungry if you plan on the all-you-can-eat option. Cooking your own food in a pot is fun the first time, but not sure I would enjoy it more than a couple of times.

Open spacious place(great for large group dinner), good soup base, love the DIY sauce bar, but no fresh shrimps included in all-you-can-eat and the selection wasn’t as varied as I hoped. The server forgot our order, and we had to wait a while. When we asked another person, she apologized & brought it right away. The staffs were kind overall; I would go back — just because of location.

I came here awhile back for a party of 7 one Friday night. I made reservations on the day of around 7:30, which looking back it’s crazy that I was able to get a table because when we arrived there was a huge lineup at the door. The restaurant is quite spacious; I think there was ventilation above every table, although our vents weren’t working. I found the sauce department to be very lacking. You make your own sauce at this little trolley in the middle of the restaurant. There’s only soy sauce, a peanut sauce, chili oil/sauce, and a satay sauce. You have to pay extra for anything extra, like cilantro, sesame oil or green onion. There are also only two types of soup broths, the original or spicy. You can also do half half. The peppercorns in the spicy broth give you a slightly disturbing numbing tingly feeling. Over halfway into our meal we couldn’t handle the flavors of the spicy broth anymore and dumped all our food into the original. The food item selection is not bad, but as with most hot pot places, sometimes you don’t know how much(or little) you will get. We tried ordering multiple orders of noodles or vegetables and they would only show up in one portion(or not at all). It’s pretty annoying, but I find this to be pretty par for the course at most hot pot establishments. Surprisingly, I found the service to be quite good. I had read previous reviews and was expecting curt and huffy servers but the ones we encountered were actually quite nice. Our drinks were refilled regularly and they even asked if we wanted more food. I didn’t feel pressured to hurry up and eat despite the lineup of people outside waiting to get a table. Overall, I’ve probably had better hot pot elsewhere, including the comfort of my own home, but Little Sheep is a decent place to go in the Burnaby area when you get the craving.

Are there any AYCE hot pot restaurants that will actually fulfill your order? It’s painfully annoying. I came with a group of seven one Friday night and had a table with two pots. They should do a good job of bringing the correct portions, especially for the first order when people are hungry. But when we order noodles and they keep bringing out one dish at a time, it’s ridiculous. We have seven people. Or how about when we put down a bunch of vegetables, yet they only bring one small portion of watercress? They should be happy to bring veggies and noodles over so we fill ourselves up with that instead of the more expensive meat. Oddly enough, they kept asking us if we’d like to order more, which was surprising. If only they gave us the correct portions. At $ 30 bucks after tax and tip per person, it’s a bit pricey and they won’t even bring you everything. As an aside, the overhead fan at our table was not working. Steam from the hot pot was blowing in our faces.

Imo a little pricey. Including tax n tip bout $ 26 to $ 28 per person. Load up on the lamb to get most value. Food starts to taste really bland after awhile maybe that’s cuz the sauce is too strong in flavour idek man.

The soup bases and the food selection is great, however the service could really use some work. We’ve been here a few times and it’s very hit and miss, when it is busy, they are super attentive, when it is slow, you practically have to stand up and flag someone.

Pretty good variety of meats as well as veggies. The pot could be a bit bigger. They do have split pots if you are picky on what items you cook together or want two different broths. The price is good for all you can eat and you are likely to get your fill. Parking is easy and underground. Biggest issue was the poor service. Had to find my own cutlery after asking twice. Had to get order sheet twice and even had to fill our own pop after being stuffed in a corner and neglected

I come here sometimes at least 3 – 4 times a year for a hot pot. It’s convenient location to home without having to go to Richmond for AYCE hotpot. I came here with a friend and waited more than 20 minutes instead of 10 – 15 minutes waiting time. Sometimes staff isn’t around to help giving tables. Service iteself is meh. If I need help there are no staff available since they’re busy with other tables. Patience is the key. Also when I order fatty beef slice(only comes as 10 slices per dish) it comes as x2 amount of what is ordered. Moreover they charge extra on left over food. I really like selection and the drink menu at Little Sheep. I really like having refill on drinks here. They need to improve on speedy service and hire more people. It takes almost forever to find staff and order things off the menu. I love the food here. House special broth is amazing. Besides you can’t go wrong with beef slices and watercress. Don’t ever order garlic beef here. It was so thick and rubbery to eat, eww. It’d be so nice to find another option next to Little Sheep I think. Price is about similar to other AYCE hot pot restos in Richmond which is around 30 $ a person. I’d still go back since it’s right next to Metrotown.

It’s AYCE but in a sense that you can’t actually control what you get. Service can be lacking: slow to refill broth, missing orders, not collecting the order sheet, etc etc

This was our first visit and we tried the All you can eat hot pot. It costs around $ 21.00CDN but you have to pay $ 10CDN for the soup/broth for the hot pot. You get to pick and check off the items you want from a list and hand it to the food server. There were variety of meats, meatballs, fishballs and seafood, to choose from and you boil it yourself in the propane gas hot pot at your table. You can help yourself to several dipping sauces: peanut, sriracha, chile, Mongolian, etc. The service is good and attentive taking our orders for more food and keeping the broth filled in the hot pot. The service is slow when you need to order more food. We ordered more seafood that didn’t come. Overall, it is still pretty good.

All you can eat Hot Pot is pretty good here. Bought a $ 22 Groupon that gave us a $ 40 credit for 4 people, which basically paid for one person free. It was quite busy on a Sunday night at 7pm, but died down soon after. The servers are fast and polite. There are so many items to order and a few at extra cost. Drinks aren’t free but some have free refills after a purchase. The fish fillets we ordered did not come out in the full amount we wanted so keep an eye on this if it’s something that bothers you. This place is fairly new but looks like it is doing really well. Make a reservation if you are a huge group. There are lots of free parking underground.

We are here several times and that is more than enough to form a conclusion about this place. Everyone who works there looks miserable minus a guy called Ivan, who seems to be the only person who gives a damn. He is the only reason why this establishment gets 1 star. Otherwise, it’s a piece of garbage. They will not give you your food. For all you can eat, my husband and I ordered 20 pieces of fish tofu. My daughter really likes eating it so we always get a lot. But you know what they gave us? 6 pieces. 6PIECES. And that was one order. When we asked them about what happened the other 14 they all didn’t know what was going on and we got nothing. I don’t think they understood English. Then Ivan, whom I referred to prior, came and we explained the situation. He instantly went in and gave us the rest of our order. The staff here are all useless, minus Ivan. He should get a promotion. They also tried to scam us into buying multiple cans of herbal tea. The owner told us that it was $ 2 and then he tried giving us like 3 cans, making it look like it was $ 2 for 3 instead of $ 6. He got all angry when I told him no. That man has a stick up his hole. 1⁄5 for Ivan, –4 for everything else. Do not go here unless Ivan is serving you.

Food, Pot, Sauce, Mouth, Food, Pot, Sauce, Mouth… Repeat. Literally is my whole night here, because it is an AYCE hot pot. This place is ALWAYS packed, it seems, and Chinese people are always here. You know when it is a good authentic Chinese place when it is packed. The place also has a designated sauce station too. Who can ask for more for a hot pot place? ANDUNLIMITEDPLUMJUICE… LIKEWHAT?! Lets just say I turned full on Asian that night when I was here. I drank plum juice, ate stuff called«gluten» and extremely full at the end of the night till I almost puked. Yeah requirements achieved. The only thing is that the place is always packed, you have to get a reservation. Take the time to call in a day ahead if you are hanging out with friends. Order the unlimited refills of Plum juice, because if the whole table gets the order, they bring 2 jugs of them and you pretty much call for more plum juice every now and then, and you will be happy.

The food was really good, but I found that if you are not able to speak the language, you’re pretty much swept under the table. I’ve been to another one of their joints in Richmond and had pretty decent service. It was the food that made me want to come back. However, it’s really hard to catch the server’s attention and 60% of what we ordered, we did not get. And sadly, they kinda forced a 10% tip when I went to pay.(Didn’t really want to tip considering the bad service.) Overall I felt super disoriented and excluded from getting their full service. Maybe it was because of the lunch hour, but I would not come again unless accompanied by someone who could speak their language.

I wanted to like it. I really did. But instead I felt cheated. After not seeing my friend for over a month, we were both visiting during the weekend for a concert, and we could not wait to have hotpot together again. We went to the Richmond location in the past, and had a pretty good time despite not being able to speak Mandarin. We were originally supposed to go to that location again, but I mistakenly suggested we should go to this location instead since we were already nearby. At first I thought we would have a better time here, and I tried holding onto that belief until I finally realized that they weren’t giving us the right amount of food we ordered. And this is where I felt cheated. We had AYCE(All you can eat), yet they weren’t even giving us the right amounts that we were asking for. I first thought they just had smaller portions than the Richmond location, and that it was our fault for not ordering more. But then once second round came, and the amounts of stuff we got were not only lessened but also randomized by what we ordered, I realized that this was definitely not our fault. Some of the stuff we ordered didn’t even show up at all. What we had was definitely not worth the 30 bucks, and it was barely«all you can eat». If you can’t speak Mandarin, or don’t have a friend who speak it, don’t bother coming. They don’t make you feel welcomed nor really care about you. Our table was pretty much empty, while everyone else that were Mandarin speakers had full tables of food. The servers only stop to pick up empty plates, and give your bill but nothing else. They also demand tips that you don’t even want to give.

As mentioned before, this place is AYCE(all-you-can-eat), and their food selection is pretty big. Cover fee for AYCE is $ 21.45 for an adult. The menu itself is your generic AYCE menu where you order the quantity you want on a particular item. Keep in mind though they limit the quantity to 2 per order. They also have two separate columns on the menu — one for your 1st order and another for your 2nd order. They had a large variety of meat selection, especially beef. We recommend the Sirloin Beef and Spicy Pork Meat Bone! They also had quite the selection of seafood and vegetables. We were happy with how fresh their items were, definitely no fishy taste or smell and all our meats were tender!

I’ve been here a few times and each time I left content and stuffed! I love that I can make my own dipping sauce the way I like it. The customer service is lacking. The wait staff don’t speak a lot of English. Some are down right cranky. Other than that … The food is good

This hot pot chain is so beautiful, it often brings a tear to my eye. Parking is available in the parkade below the building. They even post a security guard there. The dining area is somewhat classy, with nice looking chairs and tables. This location arguably has the best view of the 3, As I was part of a group of 10, they seated us at this table that has 3 hot plates. Yes, we had 3 boiling pots of soup going at the same time. It was life changing for everyone at the table. See pics. The food here is of decent quality, but the selection is pretty good. Must be because of the high inventory turnover. Everything arrived quickly, and we were all stuffing our faces in no time. One thing that is awesome about hot pot is that you can get so full that you effectively won’t need to eat the next day. It’s truly beautiful. The only thing that’s a bit lacking for this chain is the sauce station — there are only 6 or so ingredients, compared to 10 – 20 items at some of the competition. However, the pricing is also in the middle of the pack, so no complaints. Hot pot isn’t for everyone, but if it’s your thing, this is a very decent choice.

Little Sheep is actually a chain, with locations worldwide! I can see why they’re so popular, the quality is pretty decent, given the price and portion sizes! They have a huge selection of meats, veggies, seafood, and other hotpot items! Their sauces are also self serve, which is great, because some places actually charge for sauces, which I think is pretty lame haha I normally don’t do ACYE… but hotpot is an exception haha! I’m never satisfied with the mini individual hot pots you can order at restaurants because the portion sizes are so small, plus you don’t get to cook your own meat haha! There’s something about cooking your own meat in a boiling pot that makes eating that much more intriguing: D It’s especially fun if you’re with family or friends, cause you can try more things! If you’re a germ freak, I recommend you don’t come here, because everyone eats family style, by sticking their own chopsticks in the broth haha! The place is also heavily ventilated which is great, so the air doesn’t get stuffy and hot from all the steam from the hotpots! Service was great too! Our server was chatty, and they were diligent with refilling our broth, tea, and bringing us our orders! Little Sheep is a solid option for AYCE hotpot in the Metrotown area, but if you’re looking for more of a selection, I recommend you check out Richmond, which is over saturated with ayce hotpot joints haha!
