EB Games

I’ve been in here a few times and bought my cousin a game. They’ve been quite helpful each time. Professional staff and clearly passionate about working there. I think their prices might be leaning to the higher side of things though. $ 89 for PS3 NHL 2016 seemed a little high.

Although I don’t actually buy something from this store often, I do make an effort to walk in and look around on most of my visits to Chinook Centre. EB Games is a pretty cool store for anyone with a bit of a nerdy side, because it’s not just a video game store anymore. Much like HMV had to evolve their model EB Games did as well, now they have some pretty cool branded toys or «pop culture collectibles». They stock Pop! Collectibles by Funko which are big and highly collectible these days and even have figures that are exclusively sold at EB Games. They have a range of other toys as well, exclusive board games, t-​shirts, books, other non-​gaming electronics and more. For me this is the big draw to EB Games these days, the unique fun little items you don’t find elsewhere. I have a nerdy side and I like to show it with stuff like this lol :).
The store itself is well kept and organized, the sections are easily identified and not overly cluttered to the point where it would be annoying to sift through things or browse. The employees here are friendly and always quick to ask if you need a help locating anything. My only knock against the store is sometimes I feel like they’re under stocked on certain items and have to order things in or refer you to another store, although that may just reflect my unique item taste lol. Overall fun store that’s more than just video gaming, check it out!
