Had the cheese scone. It was soft and moist. If it was hot I would have rated 5 Stars. The staff was friendly enough to answer my inquisitive questions. They were not aware of their Unilocal reviews. I wish more managers and front line employees would be more aware of them which will give them ownership of their customer service and product they are serving.

Can you say yummmmy??? Because these cookies are amazing. Only reason they don’t get a 5 star rating is because they are pretty expensive.

These are expensive delicious cookies that haunt me. They offer various types. The milk chocolate chunk does me in. They get docked a star because of the price.

I’ve been going to cookies by George since I was a kid in Calgary. They used to have a free standing stall on the second floor and have since moved downstairs to their own store. Childhood memories of cookies at the mall were what cookies by George brought and I still head here for a quick snack when my sweet tooth is kicking in. Highly recommend as always and will be returning constantly. I always bring cookies by George out to relatives overseas and in Ontario when visiting as they have become almost a family tradition.

I’m one of those people with a major sweet tooth, so sometimes when I’m on my break at work I can’t help but get a craving for a cookie or two with a London Fog. I really have two choices near where I work, Saucy Bread or George. I’m not gonna diss Saucy cookies, but there’s more variety at George and hell, they’re a cookie place, it’s their specialty therefore they rock! Their brownies on the other hand… I’ve had better. The Nanaimo bars are good though. Location is pretty reasonable, it is definitely at the far end of the mall so if you’re just hanging out by Chapter’s I wouldn’t blame you for not visiting George. As for the price, well making cookies would definitely be cheaper, but if you’re like me and you just randomly want a cookie while at Chinook mall, go for it, it’s worth it! The service at George is also exceptional. I remember one time the guy in front of me and the employee were having this really fun conversation and joking around in a way that made me think they were good friends, and then next thing you know they’re introducing themselves to each other. Even when they get a customer like me, who’s shy and sullen but excessively polite, they’ve got a smile on their face and are as friendly as can be.

Although they tend to be on the losing side of the eternal Cookies v. Cupcakes battle, cookies remain a silent threat and always reliable choice. You can tell the difference when you do the Chinook Half Dozen Challenge: six cookies from George, and six cupcakes from Bliss. The cookies leave you with contentment and fuzzy good vibes, while the cupcakes leave you face-down on the tile, uncaring shoppers stepping over your prone pile of meat. The coffee is a decent alternative when I don’t have half an hour to wait for Phil’s to finish a latte, and paired with the cappuccino cookie, it is a perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up — shopping mall style! 1⁄30

Who doesn’t like Cookies By George? That warm, soft, gooey, deliciousness sliding down your throat. Yes, I’m still talking about cookies you perverts! I like to mix it up so I usually go with the bite-sized cookies so I can get a few different types. It helps to bring a friend to share with so you don’t feel like a total pig when you’re inhaling them.

Hmmm Cookies by George. Stopped by here after an afternoon of looking for clothes at Chinook. I figured since I was walking around aimlessly looking for skinny clothes I earned a «Man-Boob» treat. So I indulged myself. Always loved getting their M&M, White chocolate chunk, and Dark Choclate chunk cookies. I got 6, I also got a big ol’ thing of milk to quench my thirst and extend the buttery sweetness of them cookies in my maw. I passed out to serenity and insulin shock on the mall couches. When I woke up, I went home with the strange feeling of satisfaction and regret.

I love Cookies By George. Yes I know it’s lazy and really, I could cook my own. But guess what? When I’m shopping in a mall that offers good fresh made cookies AND milk. I’m going to buy some. And the prices aren’t half bad! MMMMM… I love the cappucino cookie!!!

So, I realize that not everyone has time for baking and sometimes you want something to snack on while you’re shopping, but, come on! Do you really need to purchase over priced cookies from some random dude who claims to make the best ever? Okay, I’ll quickly admit that every time I’ve tried a cookie by George it has been pretty delicious. But, every time I’ve eaten one of my Mom’s or Grandma’s cookies they have always been delicious too. I guess I just can’t fathom why people would rather throw their money away on something just for convenience sake. If you like cookies so much, try making them yourself and save a couple bucks. Other people really seem to love the cookies, but it’s just not a place for me. It just boils down to how lazy people are… or how addictive their personalities are. Maybe they are putting something extra into the cookies to keep people coming back. Dun dun duuuh!
