22 months after my original review I can only say amazing things. I come to this location twice a month(as of late more because of new delicious additions. The very helpful recognizes me when I come in to the point where I don’t even have to give my name anymore, for prescriptions or the rewards card. I have never felt so welcome or apart of a community like I do here. The pharmacy staff are very knowledgable and not just in the prescriptions they fill but also with the more natural medicinal products in which they carry(and some they don’t). Their food selection is small but still great; Amy’s organic soups(cheaper than most grocers) and quinoa or hummus chips are my go to. They also have a great selection of cold drinks. As of this review Fiasco Gelato(a Calgary company with vegan options) has been added. Their«ice cream» sandwiches are to die for. I came three days in a row… And twice in one day. I feel comfortable coming here regularly and don’t feel like I’m being over charged for the convince. Sadly I am moving away from this neighbourhood to about a 25 minute transit ride away. I will keep my prescriptions at this location of Luke’s and come regularly for food and other goodies.

Have only been here a handful of times to grab miscellaneous stuff and I have found the place to be very friendly. Almost every time I have come by I am usually greeted and asked if I need help finding anything. Seems to be a good neighborhood drug store.

*Driving through backroads after shopping at Westhills* Me: Hey, have you ever been to Luke’s Drug Mart? I hear it’s awesome and they have Stumptown and vinyl and stuff. My friend: Yeah, we saw a show there once, we should definitely go Me: I think they opened up a second location somewhere near here, I have no idea where we are right now though My friend: We are on 26 Ave *I look up* Me: oh yeah, it’s on this road, let’s go in! ___________ No Stumptown coffee here folks, just Kicking Horse Coffee beans, but this is indeed a Luke’s Drug Mart. I kind of expected it to be Hipster Haven after hearing about the original location and at first glance, it just seemed like a normal Guardian Drug Store they had taken over. Closer inspection proved though that the products they carry are unique, and they have a lovely assortment of soaps and soy based candles, including Meow Meow Tweet and Rocky Mountain Soap company. I picked myself up a Stoney Hale Co. candle that smells like espresso and coca and is absolutely divine. I only saw Physicians Formula cosmetics in stock. There was a little cooler that had some Boylan sodas as well as your average bottle pop, another small cooler had some cream and packaged bologna. Some organic snacks could also be found. The rest is just your normal pharmacy, with health care products, medicines, ankle supports and a pharmacists to fill your prescriptions. The ladies working were very nice and chatted with me and my friend. I missed perusing the vinyl they have in stock as it is contained to one tiny crate and right at the till. They also sell some home beer brewing kits! Oh, and they are Friends of CJSW, so get your card out and save 10%! Glad I was in the neighbourhood and was able to stop in and check it out.
