Awesome store, great staff, and always seem to have the paint or supplies I need to finish my projects. Been going to this store for advice and kits both static display and R/​C cars and trucks for over 20 years. No matter what I need they always seem to have it or will get it in the quickest amount of time and inform once its in the door. Highly recommend Model Land. Will always deal with them.

Great store with a super bunch of staff. My husband and son just got addicted to RC cars so we have been going to PM Hobbycraft for parts, so glad to have now found this store they stock everything you could think of and are really knowledgeable and helpful.

I walked into Model Land today ready to drop $ 2000 on a new 4 rotor heli. While I was waiting in line I overheard the owner’s conversation with an RC single rotor heli enthusiast.
The part of the conversation that stuck out to me was:
Owner: «What do you think of these guys buying drones?»
Client that just spent $ 500: «They’re gay.»
Owner: «Yep, I only stock them because they make me money.»
The owner then went on to rant about how most people who bought the drones were idiots and how it was only going to take one drone flying into a jet liner to make the whole business of RC heli’s illegal. He said «I dare transport Canada to fine me and confiscate my equipment. Tell them to come and do it.»
Shame on you sirs. Shame on you. You lost my business, and that of a friend who sent me to see you. Shop local? Somewhere else maybe.

I happen to have a couple of cousins who are ‘model-​obsessed.’ When I say that, I’m not talkin’ about Cindy Crawford or Naomi Campbell. I’m talkin’ about planes, trains and automobiles. Ohhhhh, *those* kinds of models.
If you happen to get your jollies from building something out of nothing, then Model Land may just be the place for you. With over 170 different airplane models and over 150 different plastic model kits, chances are that if you can’t find it here, it’s because it doesn’t exist.
The staff is ridiculously helpful if you’re looking for something specific and they just so happen to be having an in-​store sale going on as we speak.

Model land is an unassuming looking storefront that must surely be a mecca for Calgary model enthusiasts. Particularly those that dig on radio controlled models– which they have a massive inventory of. Besides the radio controlled models and accessories they also have a large collection of plastic and die-​cast models, rockets, educational toys, model boats, puzzles and more. Indeed, it is the very model of what a model shop should be and it’s a land of options and opportunities for all you hobbyists out there.
