I’m really disappointed in the directly Mark’s went in. From changing their name from«Mark’s Work Wearhouse» to just«Mark’s», and going from having functional, usable field clothing and work boots, to having trendy and fashionable clothes, they are entering into a market that is already over-saturated. When I was a water main construction inspector 8 years ago, I could get everything for the field here, they had the best women’s work boots and every type of work clothing I needed. The last time I went there, they didn’t even carry work duffel bags or women’s sized rubber steel-toed boots anymore. What used to be functional field clothing became trendy attire and minimal selection of anything field work related. The staff at this location were okay. It’s basically just a clothing store now. Really disappointed in the direction they decided to take.

This chain has a wide assortment of specialty wares for work sites, warm & comfy clothes for the outdoors, and(my main reason for going here) no fuss office clothes. This location doesn’t have the biggest selection in town(go to Beacon Hill for that), but does seem to have the most staff visibly on duty. The best thing about Mark’s is the 100% guarantee on their stuff. I’ve been buying the no-iron Perfectly Pressed shirts for years, and while I love them, I always had the elbows wear out. I mentioned this recently to the clerk, and was told I could exchange any such items. I came back with three tattered shirts, and receipts from 2011/12, and voila new shirts. That’s the kind of service that gets 5 stars!
