It’s a bottle depot in SE Calgary and nearest for some many communities such as Mckenzie Towne, McKenzie Lake, Mahogany, etc. Staff are friendly but not smiley who would be counting dirty, smelly and sticky bottles. Service is quick with some vending machines, shopping carts, ok parking and self pay out which is nice. Overall avoid on weekends during mornings but overall expect to wait 10 – 15 minutes.

I just happened to be on this end of town for a birthday party and decided to look up the closest bottle depot. What friendly service! I only had one bag and they had an express lane, so getting in and out of there was a snap. They even have the ATM system that dispenses funds after you get your chit. Nice thing about this place is the hand washing station — it’s right up near where they count your bottles. Very clean and well looked after. They also participate in local fundraising efforts where you can donate your bottles. Overall, very impressed with South Pointe Bottle Depot… keep up the good work!

Great place to bring your bottles! Honest. Fast. Hardly ever a line up and if there is it goes by fast. Upto date modern technology I hate the bottle depots that use pen and paper to keep track of all the returned bottles. I have them 4⁄5 starts based on just the communication is very hard there I’m not sure if they all speak fluent english they never talk and when you asked questions they just shake there head yes and say yes yes yes. you ask them a question that would be a no and they still shake there head yes while saying yes yes yes. not trying to be rude I just think places that rely lots on customer relations I think English or at very most a few of the employees on the front lines should speak it. Other then this I love coming here BESTPRICESINTOWN… If communication isn’t much of a concern for you then this place is a 5star establishment… I can’t wait to come back on Unilocal to edit my 4stars to 5stars next time I go to the bottle depot I’ll see if I can carry a conversation with staff. Thanks for reading. –honestly BEST bottle depot to use!

I’m not sure if I’m a fan of these guys yet or not. I think there is potential here, but the cons weigh heavy on me. So here they are: Pros: — lots of staff so you won’t have to wait too long — lanes are clearly marked so you know where to line up — the place is newer so it doesn’t feel as dirty as most depots — they use a computer system to record your empties as they count them so you can make sure they are giving you the right return — there is an ATM to give you your money. You scan your receipt and the machine spits out your cash Cons: — if you’ve never been here before, you don’t know you have to back into the parking stalls to unload your vehicle — you have to go inside to get a cart — the sidewalk outside is a little narrow and it can be a challenge to get by someone else unloading their vehicle — the waiting area can get cramped once there are more than 3 people in line waiting for a staff member — if you’ve never been here before you might not know what to do, there is no signage telling you to line up or if you need to take a number, or what’s going on.
