Love the shabby chic décor-very clean and inviting. The homemade multigrain French toast was a delight! Definitely recommend it. The florentine cookie is amazing, especially if you dip it in coffee! We recommend the carrot cake as well – authentic cream cheese icing is delicious!

While Leonard’s is best known as a busy, trendy brunch spot on the weekends, it has much more than that to offer. It’s also great for lunch and breakfast during the week when it’s a bit quieter. They serve a great coffee, and the ambience is very laid back, with the décor suggesting a «beach house» feel. The staff are also really friendly and responsive. There’s also a few nice lounge chairs for relaxing around the fireplace. I’ve tried the salads and sandwiches here, and they are very generous portion sizes. The sandwiches are stacked nice and high. The salads also are large and have a lot of toppings.

The best breakfast in Charlottetown … tradicional food, the eggs selection is a plus and the omelettes are fantastic. I had the Ham & Cheese and a toste … Only the black coffee was a little bad … and that is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Fantastic fresh lunch place that i stopped by with a work colleague to pick up some sandwiches. The place is bright and decorated like a country inn and is refreshing and charming to fit the island décor of what I envision when I think of Charlottetown. They have a simple sandwich menu of freshly baked bread that is hearty large, filling and healthy. Very impressed with this place. I had selected a turkey sandwich and it was delish knish. Lots of fresh vegetables, lettuce and thinly sliced turkey. Overall a solid lunch that I would come back again and again. They did have a dandy looking dessert counter that I decided to skip yet looked equally amazing if dessert is your thang. This restaurant was quite busy at lunch and I would declare a popular downtown spot. Come early for a table or grab some takeout. It’s good stuff!

The rustic chic décor was outstanding and very clean. The food was great, with the small exception of the hollandaise sauce being a bit seperated. However, we ate ate 11 am, so keeping hollandaise together for several hours can be tricky. The we also had a vanilla roll and Florentine for dessert, because they looked then tasted really good.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Three of us went for lunch and all got the chicken burger. I have to say the burger was absolutly delicious! However… After about three bites I found a full, dead, grasshopper in my salad. They do use fresh local greens so I understand how this can happen, but still a bit off putting. The whole table lost their appetite after that. Initially they were only going to take the one meal off of our bill but after some discussion they finally agreed that we would not pay for any of the meals since we hadn’t even barely made a dent in our food. So… amazing tasting food, just look out for bugs! Haha

If I could give no stars that would be better. My wife and I drove 45 minutes out of our way to come here based on reviews. We waited 15minutes to be seated for what we thought would be a terrific breakfast. Well once we received our drinks we were given a long list of things that«they weren’t doing» today because it was so «crazy». Well last I checked the whole breakfast menu is not a «thing» you just stop«doing» because it is «crazy». I should add we were seated at 12:20…not unreasonable by any stretch of the imagination. Your menu says breakfast till 4. I should have posted a picture of the full sidewalk sign outside that displays breakfast options served at this establishment to add to the insanity of this situation. So here it is. If you are choosing to say, not serve a huge part of your menu, it is pertinent to let waiting guests know before you waste their time and yours. These business practices should be a red flag for any customers… beware!

The venue is charming. Very bright, wood tables, flowers, a nice ambiance. We came here for breakfast and had ben eggs with salmon, a breakfast bagel and French toasts. The display of the food was really nice. Everything tasted excellent, even the side salad served with the bagel. The French toasts were exquisite, soft and crispy at the same time and so tasty. I do recommend you give it a try. Smiley and quick service, a perfect breakfast.

Ordered an eggs Benedict, and for the 3rd time in a row, after specifically asking for a runny yolk on the poached egg, again for the 3rd time in a row, it came back mostly cooked through. I called and spoke to the owner, who replied that«we don’t have timers and every egg is an adventure — we never know how it will turn out». So cocky and unapologetic. I’m sorry, but if I can make a perfectly poached egg at home with a runny yolk, why can’t a restaurant do the same? The vanilla roll is tasty, but the unapologetic response and lack of ability to poach an egg ended my support of this place. I do not want to pay $ 15 for a lame«egg adventure».

The breakfast was amazing! I had the eggs Benny with farmers market sausages and it was the best Breakfast I’ve had in the Maritimes thus far. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere as well! The coffee wasn’t just drip coffee, either. It was delicious enough for us to come back in the afternoon to get some coffee to go before our trip home. We took a pre made turkey sandwich to go too which was tasty and a healthy portion and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Extremely slow service, it took the staff over 10 to ask if I would like to drink anything and 15 min after that to see if I would like to eat anything. It took over48 min to get my food. While I appreciate them getting swamped the staff needs to be more attentive of their customers.

Visited here on vacation because of the great reviews on TripAdvisor. Everyone in our group loved the food. They served well prepared sandwiches and soup and gorgeous desserts, although we were informed a sizeable number of menu items were not available on the day we visited. The bright and cheerful décor at the café created a comfortable and dignified atmosphere.

Wonderful place to grab a bite to eat. Fresh ingredients, home baked bread, cozy atmosphere, and friendly efficient service make this place a great place to stop. Not inexpensive, but this isn’t anything like a fast food place. The sandwiches are large and the food is wholesome and delicious.
