The food was okay. Some dishes were salty. The server or boss was very lazy. He didn’t want to give us more water. Told us to finish first before he will give us more. He missed one of our order. Just avoid this place.

We spent under $ 10 each and came out extremely full and satisfied. Lot’s of great flavors in the pork on rice amd the Bimbap was massive. Side dishes were unexpected and delicious.

The worst Korean place I’ve tried along North Road. Everything was super salty! Nothing unique about the stone bowl dish and the pan fried fish dish.

Generous portion and very reasonably priced. Went there because I am staying at the Executive Plaza and it is only a few steps away from the hotel. Comfort food at its best!

The place that stood here before Chom Chom was Honey’s. And I LOVED Honey’s, so I wasn’t too keen on trying this place out. I didn’t want to be disappointed. But my good friend was visiting and he was craving Korean food, so we decided to come here since we were in the area.(We didn’t feel like paying $ 100 for 4 of us for KBBQ at Insadong) I was pleasantly surprised at the good food and the decent prices. Solid 3.5 stars! The interior was the same as the previous restaurant, but not as many TVs. Kept clean, kind of dark though. They have combos available(1 entrée + soju or beer for around $ 20-$ 25) or you can order a la carte. We decided to order kimchi fried rice, kimchi pancake and half and half chicken(half dry/half saucy), which was plenty between the 4 of us! We paid $ 20 each, including tax and tip. The side dishes that came were daikon, and cabbage with garlic/vinegar ponzu sauce. If the Korean craving ever hits, I’ll definitely walk over to this place. I have yet to try the corn butter and the bbq!

Went in during happy hours without any expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Very generous servings at a reasonable rate. Service was pretty much absent after the initial order was placed, but at least they don’t demand a tip… in fact they didn’t give me the option at the point of sale.

I go to Chom Chom on a regular basis whenever I am looking for a late night snack. The restaurant is owned & operated by a very friendly brother & sister team. Mom does the cooking in the back. They tell me the food is Korean fusion and is what mom cooks at home. Food is delish! My favourites: Fried chicken — super crispy but a bit on the small side Fish Roe Stone Rice bowl — super hot, delish and very generous with the roe. Roe is quite expensive to buy at the supermarkets Kalbi — tasty, not too chewy and served piping hot Pork Katsu — super crispy, served with potato salad and purple coloured multi grained(?) rice. Chicken katsu — super crispy and same as above There is complimentary diced cabbage with a very garlicky ponzu sauce. They always offer more when you finish. I feel healthy already. Other dishes I tried and it was just ok: French fries — nothing special Rice cakes with chicken & cheese — super spicy and too sweet for me Kimchi Mentaiko Udon — very spicy(Zakkushi tastes better) Not cheap but definitely an authentic Korean Bar. I go back regularly because the owners are genuinely friendly and attentive. This is something very rare in Asian restaurants!
