It’s not very pretty, but it’s a great place to get drunk with some friends and not worry about getting all dressed up. Sweatpants are welcome here. They also serve their beer in these«frozen» cups which keep the beer so icy cold that if you leave it sitting too long you might end up with a beer slushy. Once you’re a bit tipsy, order the butter corn and friend chicken. Neither is spectacular when in a sober state, but for the boozy munchies they are the perfect greasy nibble. For Naruto fans — make sure to look for their own resident«Rock Lee.» The resemblance is uncanny.

okay first of all, the owner adds a ridiculous amount of tip to the customers. This usually happens when either the person who’s paying is drunk or if there’s too many people for the person to check the price. I don’t know what’s got into the owner’s head but his misbehaving attitude is already spread to a lot of people. At least everyone i know experienced the rip off prices. The owner adds ATLEAST a twenty dollar tip for himself and if anyone notice and come back to complain, he’d be like yeahyeah and give a few bucks with few coins without apologizing, and you know what he doesn’t give it back completely. I guess he just thinks that we’re not gonna check our change-.- …

* Classic Korean hof * In the heart of the North Road Korean enclave, I stumbled onto this little Korean hof. It is dark, with tall booths, and I could imagine it being a popular hangout at night for snacks. But during the daytime it was empty. I should have been cautious, but the chicken was calling! Apparently it is a Canadian location of this small chain from Korea. Since it was lunchtime, and I was driving, I didn’t take part in the large alcohol selection. But I did order the yangnyeom chicken. The majority of the pieces had been cut down to 2 bite size and tossed in the yanghyeom sauce. I am fairly certain the chicken was reheated, as it did not taste fresh fried. The breading was a bit clumpier than I normally like, and the sauce was goopier(a bit too much corn starch is my guess) and not as spicy as I like. The chicken itself was still quite juicy, even though it was reheated. Service was very friendly. But I definitely prefer the yanghyeom chicken at Happy Day though: Oh well, it was worth a try!
