I usually get the noodles with eye round steak, beef tendon, tripe, brisket and or flank. I put a lot of sriracha on everything. Sometimes there are waits but the service today was extremely fast within 2 – 5 minutes. I end up completely drenched in sweat when I’m finished eating.

It’s edible at best. Can’t compare to any real legit place. The meats have no flavor other then sugar. Best I can say is like eating the most low end Vietnamese food. I expect this if I was in the middle of no where in America but not in Vancouver. If I was starving and this place was the only place that’s open… I still might not eat here. This is the only time ever I didn’t finish my bowl of noodle at a Vietnamese restaurant. Yes… I went else where for food after.

It’s quick and nice food but the pay they serve water i saw there is a few green and yellowish parts in the pitcher and also the cup is not clean and there was grease floating on my cut but it nice and tasty I would recommend this place but keep a eye on your water or bring one yourself

This is my third time coming to this location, this review is for the last time I was here. The food is always good, and thats pretty much all I can say about the food. It’s nothing spectacular, just good lol My boyfriends soup came out first and my noodle bowl came about a minute later. When the server came by to drop it off me and my boyfriend were talking and the server just stands there with the bowl waiting for me to take it out of her hands? When she came by the first thing I said was thank you, you know kinda assuming she would put the bowl down on the table but no, I had to take it out of her hands awkwardly. Note that, she didn’t have anything in her other hand, nor was she struggling to carry a big tray of food.(That I understand)

Man, I love this place. The service is not the greatest(a little slow and unattentive), but the phở is oooh so good.(It’s also the perfect hangover cure, you’re welcome.)

I’m amazed at how fast the service is. I just walked in, placed my order, then went to wash my hands. When I returned to my table, the plate of garnishes and a pot of tea were waiting for me. After a couple more minutes, my phở soup arrived. I was hungry so I devoured it. As far as phở goes, the meat and noodles were better than the other reviewers have said. But the soup wasn’t as rich and thick as I’m used to phở being. And it wasn’t very hot either(double edged sword: too hot burns your tongue, not hot enough doesn’t cook the meat. Fortunately it was hot enough to cook the raw meat.) I also ordered a plate of deep fried spring rolls. Those were amazing. Larger than I’m used to, full of meat, and very tasty. The hostess and wait staff(they perform double duty) are friendly and cheerful. And they have a new computerized POS system so they gave me a copy of my receipt(also unlike an earlier review.) This is my second time here. I’ll keep returning to eat and revise this review if they keep improving.

It really sucks here. I found a piece of rock in the spring roll and the servers are extremely rude. I will never ever go there again and I do not recommend anyone else.

Totally downhill! Meat portions have been cut back and the broth now taste like it came from a powder mix mainly. So bummed out… have to find another place now!

Tucked away in a little corner near a grocery store is this pleasant little Phở house. Had #5 Phở and was not disappointed. The broth was stellar and the brisket was cut thin enough to just melt in your mouth but not too thin to still be substantial. Also had a Vietnamese coffee and it was pleasantly strong, thick and sweet. It’s just too bad it wasn’t hot enough and the«hot» water they provided was tepid. Definitely would come back.

This restaurant has the fastest service I have ever been in. My sister and I decided to eat out for lunch and even if the place was full, we were served immediately and in less than 5 minutes after we ordered, we were already eating. I would definitely go here again: D

I love the food here. We always have phở, of course, and it is delicious. I have had the beef and the vegetarian and have enjoyed both. We have also had a few chicken and rice dishes and have been happy, as well as the Vietnamese subs. The ambience isn’t great, nor is the service, the waitresses all look miserable and never, ever, ever bring the meals at the same time or in any sort of logical order, though this seems to be common of Vietnamese restaurants… no big deal. The prices are great though, and the portions are perfect. It’s always fairly busy, so clearly lots of people enjoy the food. Go for the food or take away… yum!

Unfortunately I can’t review the food because I only ever get the Lemongrass Chicken and Noodles +/-the salad rolls. I don’t like to try new things. HOWEVER — the 2 I get are DELICIOUS. Large portions, delicious, service is PROMPT, even when they are smoking busy. Place is always full, but ample seating and atmosphere is casual and place is never too loud. Staff are always friendly and polite. One lady remembered me after my FIRST visit, and even if months go by, if she answers the phone when I order she REMEMBERSME! HOW??? AND she always remembers what I want. And I always customize it and she remembers that too! So crazy. Highly recommend this place. From what I hear about the OTHER dishes(from friends I go with) they are also delicious. Never had a complaint. Also the tea they serve for free is really good. I’m so hungry now… wish I had a plate right now!

I love this place 2 of us can go out and eat for under $ 20, it’s healthier and takes about the same time as a drive thru for food to get to your table. If you’re looking for a quiet romantic dinner, don’t come here it’s loud as fuck, usually extremely crowded(to the point the people next to you have to scream to understand you) but if you’re just looking for a good place to fill your belly stop by, the food is so worth it! The service is amazing you can be in and out in 20 mins depending how quickly you down your meal. I usually get #74(lemon grass pork, spring rolls noodle bowl) I don’t know what they do to the pork but no one else’s in town compares, I’m not a big soup person so I can’t say much about the phở other than my bf loves it and won’t eat it anywhere else. So if you’re looking for good Asian food and are willing to take a white girls opinion on what is good, you should take the time and stop in to Phở 99. I’m only giving them 4 stars because of the atmosphere if it was just based on food it would be a solid 5

Nothing special, tbh I think the Phở Hoa just around the corner is heads and shoulders better than this place. With all the different options near by I would not recommend this place if you’re near Coq Center.

(twentyfour/thirty) After a long, tiring, crappy closing shift at my place of employment, and with the weather literally puking rain, I knew I wanted phở. Something salty, something hot, something tasty to cook my insides and make my lousy day a little better. I knew Phở Hoa was open until 11pm. I’ve never been to the Coquitlam location, but I am familiar with the one in Guildford. I walked all the way over to find the door locked, «Open» sign off, yet with a sign on the door telling me that they were open until 11pm, and it was not even 9:30! Whatever, the hell with you, Phở Hoa. Not to be defeated, I walked over to Phở 99. They were pretty empty when I got in, but tables quickly filled. I ordered the house special with rare beef, brisket, tendon and tripe, and without onion or cilantro(yuck!). My order came out minutes after I placed it. Considering I was grumpy and hungry and freezing, it did in a pinch, but it definitely wasn’t very good. The broth was piping hot, but I’ve experienced better flavor at other phở places. The meat was cut in pieces too large, and the noodles were underdone. With other phở places just steps away, I won’t be giving this place a second go.

This is a fairly clean Phở restaurant and the food came within 5 minutes of ordering. I was worried that it wouldn’t be piping hot, but indeed it was. The prices were a smidge higher than other places, but their portions are also bigger. I had the #14, which is the Phở noodle soup with rare beef slices, brisket, tendon and tripe. The broth was not too dark with the taste still there. Service without any attitude and tons of parking. Not bad Coquitlam, not bad at all.

Oh was this place every good! Just a small hole in the wall really but man do they serve a great bowl of phở. I ordered the Dinner special. It comes with a large bowl of Phở, lemongrass pork chop, rice and 2 spring rolls. ALl this for $ 17…not too shabby! Broth was light yet flavourful! Meat was lean, veggies were crisp. What more can you ask for? The lemongrass pork chop was cooked so nicely! The flavours were spot on. I didn’t even need the Fish sauce… The spring roll was very tasty, Crunchy exterior with good moist filling. Not greasy at all! I’m thinking about the food right now… I am drooling contemplating going there in the next couple days… Gosh darnit. Food Boner! ha ha

Lets keep Phở rating plain and simple. Just as good Phở is. Broth — good and tasty Noodles — chewy like it should be Meat — lots of meat. docked a star because some of the meat is super fatty, and they should really not serve that fatty slabs. Cause just looking at it is gross. Good thing that this isn’t a common thing tho. Portions — decent and filling Sauces — plenty of sauces right on the table for your hotflashing desires. Try their sandwiches! They are delicioius and only $ 3.50 A 99. Just short of a 100. Not the best Phở I’ve had, but a darn phở-ing good one!
