Ok, I haven’t been there for the dinner yet. Still, we were there for the brunch twice and the experience was almost unbeatable for the $ 12.00, even aside from any encore discounts/freebies you may get. Service — welcoming, cheerful and attentive for a buffet. Selection — I found no lack of selection. Pastries, omelettes, a broad salad selection, entrée lunch foods — it’s all there. They do vary the dishes, which was a pleasant surprise. Quality — my only complaint is a typical one: the food can be over-salted; the steamed vegetables and roasted potatoes, for instance. On the flip side, I found their vegetable lasagna to be amount the best I’ve had anywhere. One of the other reviews mentioned a lack of proteins. Including sides, I counted over 10 selection options with significant protein content. Granted, buffet establishments aren’t the healthiest places to east in general, but in general our diets would be more well-rounded if we recognized protein sources when we see them. Had I paid full price, I would have given this 4.5 stars as I’ve seen worse brunch buffets for a steeper price. As it was, we were able to use two encore coupons at once. Since actually being allowed to do that is notable in itself, I’ll bump up the rating accordingly.

The staff(really nice) is the only reason to eat here and not the mediocre food and selection. Firstly, they do NOT have the seating capacity for a buffet, no thanks to the Fire Marshall and capacity codes. I was there on a Sat evening with Steven Wright(comedian) on stage. At 6pm, there was already a «20 minute wait» which turned into a 40 minute wait. Nothing like gobbling down your food into your gullet before heading out to a show. The lineup grew to about 70 ppl as we were at the front. After finally getting in, we checked out the selection. I have seen better selections at a truck stop buffet. The salads and toppings were bare bones. Not even real bacon bits. WTH? Hot food were trays of carb laden potatoes, dry crusty pasta, some Asian noodle stuff that looked unappealing, Old Dutch chips, overcooked veggies, Basa in cream sauce which tasted off and a bunch of other forgettable items. Their«carvery», and I use that term lightly, was a joke. A bloody joke. All there was offered was a piece of well done roast beef the size of 1 lb tub of margarine. Not a part of it was even medium. Great job HRC! How can you screw that up so bad? Even the carver had a poor attitude. Like it was a PITA for her to do anything. You had to repeat what you wanted because I think her English skills were a bit lacking. Oh… in the future, when I keep holding my plate in front of you, that means to keep loading it up, not that I am there for sharing the experience and trying to communicate with you. I was also there on Christmas Day for the buffet, and there was what appeared to be a dry Chinatown duck being offered up for«the carvery». Needless to say, I didn’t stick around. Their dessert selection was lame. Costco cream puffs, some obviously pre-frozen cheesecakes and cakes, 2 bite brownies(I see HRC really put some effort into this) and some carrot cake pieces. No ice cream, no jello, no cookies, nothing fancy. But I guess this is where they save money. I’ve been to the Starlight Casino buffet and they walk all over the HRC. The price of $ 16.99 was a bit high for what was offered. I might give them another try on a theme night for redemption.

This buffet is inside the Hard Rock Casino in the back. Buffet is $ 16 which isn’t bad but the selection lacks. Mostly filler carbs very little protein and dessert bars. I went for 3 mini plates. I went before the Tea Party just for s culinary change, however, doubt that I will be back. Food was okay but lots of spices were misplaced.
