Friendly staff, who is known for being the best of the cheap greasy food. We were taken here by some locals who wanted to show us local Halifax food. I did love the Canadian special pizza! It was good hot and also cold the next morning. The garlic fingers were decent. The poutine was decent, but I like the cheese curd version is of Quebec City. I am not a fan of the Halifax special sauce. I believe it is evaporated milk mixed with white vinegar and sugar. Interesting, but not my style. The nacho order was huge, but other than the size… It was normal cheap loaded nachos. I can see why people like this place, you deserve your following. I am going to stay a fan of your pizza alone.

I looked up my order online for prices before calling in to order, and the prices were higher once I called in. I ordered pizza with different toppings on both sides, and when the pizza arrived the toppings were sided incorrectly. However, the pizza was good! Not to much sauce and a good amount of cheese. Friendly service.

I have been ordering-in from Alexandra’s for YEARS. I find the pizza is always consistent and is pretty tasty. The delivery drivers are pretty chill, and are always friendly to my «yappy» dog. Delivery most times is pretty speedy they usually do a good job at telling you over the phone when your order is going to arrive-if its a busy night they usually mention it. I have tried their club sandwich and I’m pretty sure it was canned chicken-it had a metallic taste. I also ordered dessert once – they don’t really have any options and I got the cheesecake which had no toppings and came frozen. Really disappointed in that. So, I’d stick with what they do best-pizza and garlic fingers. We(me and my BF) always get pizza sauce instead of donair sauce for 2 reasons-we prefer it, and their donair sauce is always separated, chunky, and watery at the top… doesn’t seem… right. This is the only reason I haven’t tried their online ordering system – you can’t make specifications like pizza sauce over donair sauce. I find their prices a bit high – a 2L, Lg pep, md garlic fingers will put you back $ 40. You can get the same thing from other pizza places for less then $ 30. It would be nice if they had specials once in a while – their«specials» have been listed on their website/menu as long as we’ve been ordering there, making them not-so-special and none are really a good value, either… My only last bit is make sure to pre-heat your oven while you wait for your pizza to arrive – its ALWAYS cold. ALWAYS. Overall I recommend them if you’re looking for some standard tasty ‘za.

Trucking this mouth I’ve been all over canada, ill taste anything once. My home town offers a fake version of the donair. When I rolled into NS I had to have the real deal as found it here Gray friendly staff and quick service! Pizza great deal under $ 4 all lg donair $ 10.25! The works! You will no regret coming here.

This is our ordering-in go to spot for pizza on a Friday night. It’s just good ol’ fashioned pie with great sauce and service with a smile. I also have a love/hate relationship with their delicious donair subs. Sinfully good. And who doesn’t love a drop in to Alexandra’s after a night on the town for a slice before bed?

Visited with some coworkers recently, food is quite good, though the donairs are the sloppiest things I’ve ever eaten. In all, good value for the price.

I’ve talked about Alexandra’s other location in Fairview, but the experiences between both locations is so different that I wanted my review to reflect the disparity. Let’s skip to the punchline: I’ve seen less than hygienic practices. When the person taking your money then goes directly to food preparation without handwashing, it doesn’t give you much confidence in the sanitary procedures where you can’t see. Alexandra’s food is across the board delicious, so I’m hoping that this was a simple aberration in an otherwise perfectly fine establishment. Their Greek salad is top-knotch: lots of feta and olives, with a house-made dressing. I’m planning to have Alexandra’s for lunch tomorrow, so hopefully gives you an idea of my confidence in the general running of the restaurant.

I’ve tried pizza from most of the pizza joints in Halifax, and no matter what I keep coming back to Alexandra’s. Alexandra’s, voted by Coast readers as the best Pizza in Halifax, provides consistent quality pizza at good prices. To me, the sauce is what makes the pizza, and Alexandra’s has great sauce, along with good crust and pizzas that aren’t too greasy. Alexandra’s offers free delivery within certain areas, and a menu that consists of many other items including poutine, salads, nachos, chicken wings, donairs and sandwiches.
