It’s really cool that they stock local bands merch but wow they have no selection when it comes to CDs/Vinyl. They have some good posters and shirts however.

CD Heaven is a charming little secret in downtown Dartmouth. It’s placed in a little hole in a strip mall across the street from the bridge terminal(near Shoppers). They’ve been open since the 90’s and have a terrific atmosphere with a great, friendly staff. It’s a used cd/lp/dvd/blu ray store(these are painfully rare in this city), meaning the stock’s always changing. I love going down there and wandering around, you can find some terrific things if you root long enough. One time I found an out of print box set of Goddard short films for $ 20. Another time I picked up some nice vintage Pink Floyd vinyl at unbelievably reasonable prices. Check out their jazz and classical sections, there’s usually tons of treasures in there(that’s usually the first place I check). From what I can gather, on Saturday afternoons, local punk and metal bands do shows in store, not my scene but I think it’s great that the store’s supporting local artists. I definitely recommend checking it out!

No a whole lot of selection CD wise. Even worse selection when it comes to vinyl. It seems like the owner is more interested in supplying her own tastes to customers than what people actually want. The owner also had a bad attitude. Loudly bragging about making a girl she interviewed cry and how no one should ever interrupt her or they can leave her store. Just overall bad feeling about the place. Also no effort put into what the store actually looks like.

This store is surprisingly very clean and organized. There is lots to choose from with the versatile selection. They had CD’s in almost every genre and even had a selection of DVD’s. The lady working was very friendly and willing to help.

A few months I’ve been having problems with music files etc, on the internet. I’ve redeveloped a love for CD’s, after a few weeks of no music, I found myself craving it, so I started buying again. I first came here a few months ago and I just love this place. I have only been here twice but I’m already a huge fan. Cheap CD’s and the girl, who was working both times I’ve visited, was nice and friendly. Good place for lost and hidden gems, great, cheap, and well conditioned CD’s. Recommended all the way!

Its seldom that I get over to Dartmouth, but in a recent venture with friends, I popped into CD Haven for a little looksie. This is a friendly place with a sturdy approach to straight music lovin’. The«Most Wanted» hits are amongst the many sweet sectionals CD Haven has to offer. With wall-to-wall coverage in all genres of musicality, there is also a good sized portion of DVDs for sale. They support local and Canadian artists here as well, and place special emphasis. There is a love for the classics, so fans are sure to find all the good ones, from Zappa to Iron Maiden to David Bowie. Its lovely to see independent folks still thriving, and carrying the good stuff. I’ll certainly stop in again on my next trip across the waters.

This little music boutique, located across the bridge on Wyse Road, has some pretty good offerings. When I swung in a couple of days ago, there was a sign out front proclaiming an in store concert. Some bands from Ontario were playing a gig and the event was open to everyone, free of charge. The store sells a healthy dose of current hits, with a large wall set aside for just this task. Throughout the shop, their small sections are labeled, featuring local artists, pop rock, bluegrass, old school hip hop, and some other essential genres. If you’re a local up and comer, this could be a good medium for you to disseminate your music. CD Heaven offers pretty good consignment deals to local bands, giving them the opportunity to sell their CDs and vinyl at fair prices. Check out their website for more info on this service. CDs and DVDs, stickers and patches — this unassuming music shop has a pretty good selection of all thing music listening related. Check them out if you’re in the area — you’re bound to find something of interest.

CD Heaven, WOW! Who knew that such a mecca store lived across the bridge. This place is huge, here you can buy, trade, sell and even reserve the music you want. Both Cd and DVDs. They keep a healthy selection of local artists on hand. They offer a few different services, repair to scratches, transferring old music from vinyl or cassette to CD. They will also transfer VHS to DVD. I really like the reserve function which you can access through their website. The staff here were great, friendly and new where everything and every kind of music was. This was a great find.
