Ah, Wyse Road Plaza — how I prefer to avoid thee. Can’t say I’m a fan of the area, but as this little strip mall hosts both No Frills and Dollarama, I find myself visiting more often than I normally would. Pros: — It’s certainly not the biggest Dollarama in Dartmouth, but it’s been holding its own for quite some time with its decent selection. — Cashiers, as others have noted, are almost always awesome! I can’t recall a single bad customer service experience at this location. — Good location if you live nearby — it’s quite close to the bus terminal, Shoppers Drug Mart, McDonald’s, etc. Cons: — Always busy and always jam-packed, so things can get pretty cramped. — I hate the parking lot — I always feel like I’m going to get run over or that I’ll accidentally run someone over(if I don’t get t-boned first). — Sketchy part of town. A downtown Dartmouth staple that will(hopefully) stick around for many more years to come.

Very typical for a Dollarama, but this store is much larger than the others scattered around HRM. Their shelves are well stocked with all the cheap dollar merch you expect and love from a dollar store. They have a large grocery section as well. If you buy groceries, make sure your check the expiry dates! Staff are friendly, the cashier joked with us about the Easter crowds and wrapped(with care) up my glass-wear purchased so they wouldn’t break in the bag. They also take credit and debit cards, which is nice since some of the«dollar stores» only take cash. Accessible to a point, but not when boxes are stacked in the isles as was the case when we went in.

Big thumbs up, Dollarama! For a dollar store, you provide me just what I want: rows and rows of cheap junk! Sure, you’ve got the odd quality product thrown in there and a surprisingly large selection of groceries. But mostly I’m coming for cheap junk food, gift bags and odd items I don’t seem able to find anywhere else. I appreciate that your staff are actually friendly. Ish. More than most other dollar stores, at least. You’ve even got great hours and are cozied up next to a Shoppers for whatever you don’t have to provide me.

I was over in Dartmouth the other day and needed a few things for a project. First I have to say, not all Dollarama Stores are the same. This dollar stores seems to be a little above the others with selection, keeping in mind, you are at the dollar store, so your quality will reflect. This dollar store is fairy large and carry a large array of products. The staff here is usually around the store to ask for assistance and can name just about every product in the store. I did pick up what I needed and of course a few extra things, it is hard to go in and only buy one thing.

Dollarama this location in particular is the best. I travel out of my way as I find this one always stocked with isles and isles of great stuff. There is always something that you need or find that you don’t need. Great craft section for those rainy days with the kids. Stocked with tole paints, brushes and great pieces to paint. Great party prizes for the kids loot bags as well as I always buy my wrapping paper there as I can pick it up for $ 1. Dollarama is as well a perfect location for someone who is stating out in and apartment as you can stock your kitchen with some really nice pieces for about $ 20 bucks. Normally when we go to the movies we stop at this location and pick up some treats to take as well as some water for $ 1 apposed to $ 3.00 at the movie theatres. Each season at the Dollarama is stocked with great treats as well as the most fashionable accessories. Check it out for Easter as they have great things to fill that basket for the kids all for $ 1
