Can’t go wrong with Cora’s! I was surprised at how busy this location actually was. I went here because I live in Dartmouth and didn’t want to worry about finding a place to park downtown /problem solved! Very clean, great staff & delicious breakfast!

It was my first time at this location and most likely my last we stopped by for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and waited 30 minutes to be seated once we were seated it was another 10 minutes before our server came to take are drink orders we were seated right beside the kitchen so try having a conversation when you have a smoothie blender going off 3 feet from you for your whole me I order eggs bacon and pancakes which were not that great the pancakes were so dense and my eggs were undercooked I got soggy old Multigrain toast even know I ordered white the fruit was not ripe at all and my smoothie if you could call it that tasted like I was drinking fruit flavored water there are much better breakfast places around and just as healthy I will not be returning to this location

Cora’s is an overall disappointment. Why you ask? I find that waiting for an hour to be seated isn’t worth it when the food isn’t good. I realize that the whole point of this restaurant is to have healthier options. I am down for that. Give me all the fruit, smoothies and egg white omlettes. But I paid for a plate of unripe, bitter fruit, burnt toast, a watery smoothie, and a cold omlette. I could have went to the store and bought everything and it would have been cheaper and tasted better.

Like most other Cora’s locations, the place is packed on weekends and you’ll often have to wait for a table. This one is smaller than some of the other places, but still has the same bright and cheery colour palette and cutesy and punny illustrations on the wall. The staff is chipper and service is rather efficient on every visit I’ve made, although you can expect some delays when the place is at peek business. . Most of the places that serve brunch focus on steak and hashbrowns or eggs benny. When I think of breakfast, I think of crêpes and plates loaded with fruit, so Cora’s fits that bill. But don’t worry; they do serve bacon and hollandaise. It’s also my sister’s favourite breakfast spot, and since we only do family brunch on special occasions(I have a tendency to sleep well past breakfast on weekends), this chain’s location is usually our first and final destination choice. As brunch is only a special occasion, the higher price tags are a lot easier to swallow. I live for their juice cocktails. Fresh seasonal fruit is blended together for a tall and healthy start to your day, perfect for a non-coffee drinker like me. A colourful although somewhat exhaustive menu can give you basically anything you could possibly want for breakfast. When I really want to indulge at breakfast, I’ll get the banana and nutella crêpe. If chocolate for breakfast doesn’t suit my fancy, then I usually grab the 1990’s Harvest: a plate of eggs, bacon, a huge piece brioche french toast, and a helping of fruit. All in all, for a family brunch, it’s a great spot in Dartmouth. It’s a little hard on the wallet, but as I said, for the occasional outing, it’s a nice treat when you want something other than the greasy spoon special or the fancy restaurant Benny.

When I can actually get out of my jammies and the house before noon for breakfast/brunch on a weekend, this is usually the place we go. I like Cora because with all the fruit on the plate I can fool my self into thinking I’ve actually had a healthy low cal breakfast. When I eat here, I’m not walking around the rest of the day with a big puddle of grease sloshing in the pit of the stomach as I do after the traditional diner brekkie of sausage, egg and hash browns. My favourite on the menu is the 1990‘s Harvest, love the french toast brioche, mmm mmmm. If I‘m looking for something a bit lighter, I go for the crepomelette. I‘ve been to a few other Coras and, in my experience, I‘ve had pretty much consistently good dishes and good service.

I LOVE the Cora’s franchise. I’m not a big supporter of franchise dining in general, but I love the fresh fruit and consistent menus. That being said, the service and food at this location is like a baseball game without being hit with a bat. Hit and Miss. They offer lattes, but I have yet to have a half decent one here(have had fair lattes at other Cora’s though). Over all, next time I have a Cora craving, I’ll head to the Dartmouth Crossing location.

A nice local version of the homegrown breakfast chain. The staff is usually friendlier here than I’ve experienced at other locations and the service comes quickly as soon as you make it through the inevitable and uncomfortable line-up for a table that often winds out the front doors. The new addition of lattés and cappuccinos is a welcome one and frankly I’ll love any establishment that acts as a supplier of hollandaise sauce on hungover weekend mornings.
