Very busy New Years Eve. I placed an order a day early for a 5 pm pick up. I finally went to the restaurant at 6:50 pm to get my order and I still had to wait 20 min. The food is good, but it wasn’t worth the wait. Very disappointed. They either need to prepare better or turn orders away if they cannot handle the volume. They didn’t even offer a discount for the wait. Ok just went to another Chinese restaurant on Wyse Road. Hung Feng. They were a little late with my order. Not only did they apologize, but gave me extra egg rolls and a $ 10.00 coupon for my next visit. The food was pretty good as well.

I have only ever had takeout from here, and have never eaten in. The food is usually very good, but there have been a few times where a dish or two has been sub-par. The biggest issue is that sometimes they forget a dish, and then they are not helpful when contacted. It should not be difficult to obtain a refund for an item that was never received, but it has been.

I’ve been here several times and the food is consistently good. The wonton soup is good with lots of meat(deliciously spiced) inside the wontons. Their Kung Pao chicken is good, but in order to make it more authentic I asked them to make it as spicy as they can possibly make it. Even then it could still be spicier but it’s quite good nevertheless. The speed at which they make the food is impressive and the staff are usually quite friendly. I wish they had a website to look at their menu though.

I’m not the biggest fan of Chinese food, but my family loves it. This place always has delicious food and I trust the cleanliness standards having been in their many times. It’s always quick, hot and tasty.

only tried a combination plate but the sweet and sour chicken was doughy and tasted like flour. The rice tasted burnt like it had been cooked too fast as did the lo mein my dinner guest ordered. Wouldn’t go back and I don’t recommend. Prices however are reasonable for what you’re getting.

This is a great place! My favourite is the Hunan chicken dish!!! Although the menu says it’s spicy… It’s not. The rice is amazing! Tastes like it’s grilled somehow ! Always fast service, price is great for how much food you get!

Well we have had meals in this resto but Do Not do take out… Twice we were missing items first time let it go. however just called and was told that i would have to call back tomorrow as the person who took my order was gone… No oh I am sorry nothing until I said I was very dissatisfied and that would not do. And it is not the money it is more my upset child as this item was for her and the huge inconvenience of it all.

So first time here. It looks really simple and basic in the restaurant. I only ordered take out this time. We had the Szechuan beef and lemon chicken with rice and pan fried dumplings. Delicious food. But unfortunately no chop sticks or fortune cookies in the bag??? We shall return again. This place is on our list. But will ask for sticks and cookies next time!

I’m not sure how my partner and I managed to miss out on HK Wong’s until now — it’s probably the closest Chinese restaurant in our area. Nevertheless, we sought out some Shanghai noodles this evening and thought we’d give it a try. Why did we wait so long?! This place is awesome! It does a very brisk take-out business, so the tidy dining room was only about 1⁄3 full — fine with us. We ordered Shanghai noodles, beef fried rice, and almond chicken guy ding. The whole order was on our table within 5 – 6 minutes, piping hot, and not a thing was unsatisfactory. You might think that orders that come so quickly might be attributed to food that’s been sitting around for a while, but that was certainly not the case. I haven’t had Chinese food that fresh in a long time. I would like to point out that the almond guy ding was full of broccoli, which I hate with an unparalleled passion, but I ate every last piece on my plate. I’m not sure what sort of magic the cooks are working in the HK kitchen, but it must be formidable indeed to make me eat all my broccoli. Our waitress was prompt with water top-ups and the bill, and we walked away feeling comfortably full and anticipating our return. Fantastic experience overall!

It’s a Chinese restaurant with delivery and take out, it’s not dirty and it has all the food you love at great prices.

The girlfriend and I were in here last week, and were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is small but very clean, the food is delicious and somehow lighter-feeling than usual westernized-Chinese fare, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff were just excellent. We live in Halifax, just around the corner from another major Chinese restaurant(Look, it’s right o-over there!), but I expect we’ll be making the trek across the bridge much more often in the future.

Consider me converted! I’ve been looking for a decent Chinese restaurant in Dartmouth. I work in the Burnside area and haven’t had any luck. But I was looking at the take out menus in the menu drawer at my workplace, I noticed this place and realized I’ve never tried it. When I placed my order for pick up, I was told that it’ll be ready in 15 minutes… which is probably the fastest time I’ve ever gotten food. That was their first positive thing! Two, if I managed to finish my entire meal in one go, then it must’ve been really good and I couldn’t put down my take out plate! HK Wong’s Palace, you made me a happy happy girl tonight!

We tried Wong’s for the first time on New Year’s Eve and wow, were they ever busy with take out orders!(and I mean HUNDREDS of take out orders) After deciding to dine in, we ordered from one of the available NYE combos offered and were very pleased — one visit and you’ll understand why Wong’s were so busy! The food was fresh, the service(despite it being CRAZY busy in there) was great and the staff very pleasant even though they were run right off their feet. The portions are large and the prices are very resonable. We will be back!

Okay, wow! I finally found a great Chinese food place in HRM! Okay, well it is mainly«Canadian Chinese» cuisine but what the heck, its so darn good! I am a huge Indian and Thai food lover, so I always want my foods extra spicy. I had the Hunan Chicken combination plate and asked the server for the kitchen to make it «extra, extra, extra spicy» — and well, they did — and it was simply delicious! Very fresh and enjoyable. The combo plate was so huge it had me eating for 2 days… Note: when I recieved my bill, the caption under my combo read: «extra, extra, extra spicy», which I found to be a nice touch. My husband had the Mongolian Beef combo plate, which was medium spicy — but he thoroughly enjoyed it at that heat level. He, too, found it to be very fresh and delicious. The dining room is nice, not your stereotypical place with lanterns, etc. Very classy touch with murals and all. Needless to say, I will DEFINATELYBEBACK! Highly recommended if you enjoy hot and fresh Chinese dishes! PS: I did not try anything else other than the combo, so the 5 star is based on my current experience(I will do a follow up sooner or later…)

5 stars for delivery!!! The egg rolls are worthy of 8 stars. The sweet and sour chicken cantonese style is delicious. We always ordered off the regular menu but have recently ventured into the depths of the menu to order different dishes… it is close, convenient and the people there are wonderful!’

It took awhile and trying a few other local popular spots before we stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance and have found our new favourite Chinese food restaurant. When we first discovered Wong’s they were in the middle of a makeover. I love their décor, with rich purple and terra cotta on the walls. There are hand painted bamboo shoots and a large coy pond mural decorating the walls as well. The aquarium is a nice amusement while waiting to pay your bill. It’s a relatively small dining area and usually fairly busy. The service is great and the staff very friendly, making you feel like a regular on your first visit. We’ve done both eat in and take out and both are very quick. While they may not make their own plum sauce or egg rolls, we find their menu to be extensive and everything we’ve tried so far arrives at the table hot, fresh and tasty. My husband likes their egg rolls and would make a meal of them, I prefer the spring rolls. There’s quite a large menu so take your time going through it. My husband isn’t too adventurous so we tend to stick to the more traditional Canadian/Chinese dishes. We really like the beef and green peppers, pork lo mein and ginger beef but I think you’re pretty safe in having a good meal with whatever you order. I like to order a few different dishes and with just the two of us there is usually enough to take home for lunches for a couple days. We’ll continue to dine at Wongs to satisfy my frequent Chinese food cravings and would recommend it to others looking for well priced, served hot, tasty food.

Wong’s is a large Chinese Restaurant located in Dartmouth. With my BF being from Dartmouth and swearing that Wong’s is the best Chinese Restaurant he decided to get our supper from there one night. So I thought that I would get the basic fried rice, chicken balls and eggrolls. By the time we got home which is about 5 – 7 mins if that from home the food was cold. Maybe we drove to slow who knows. Overall I found the food really did not have any taste to it and I did not enjoy the eggrolls. I was told that it is a different experience when you eat in so maybe before I say I am not going back I will do just that and give it a second chance. It is funny when you talk Chinese everyone has there favourite and normally stay with that location.
