Oh Hungry Jacks, you fallen angel. My first experience with this place was way back before Unilocal existed. I remember it being very tasty, fresh, with large portions. I got the double burger with cheese and bacon(which was huge) that came with a mountain of fresh cut fries. Absolutely delicious, had I reviewed it back then it would have had five stars for sure. Fast forward to the place about a year ago. My brother and I were deciding where to go to eat when we were driving by this place. We both remember it being fanatic so it made our decision that much easier. First off this place was nothing like what I remembered on the inside. The place looked run down, cheap tables and chairs, ugly window dressings and the most raunchy carpet I’ve ever seen(seriously). My bro and I were the only ones in the restaurant so our server approached us like a dog that got off its leash. She was a nice older woman with a manly voice and a smokers smile. We were seated in a booth with gross stained plastic covering the dark maroon tablecloth… Ugh maybe we made a mistake. The place a had a smell of musk… Like a damp basement, needless to say I wanted to turn around and leave but like I said we were the only customers and were being watched like an ex con in a jewelry store. I figured screw it I’m here I’m going to get the meal that I remember and the real reason I’m here. My brother decided to just get a glass of water… No food and funny enough his glass had finger prints all over it like it wasn’t washed *gulp* oh boy. Right before my meal was to be brought to me we heard the waitress take a coughing spell that lasted at least 30 seconds, but then just 10 seconds after that my food came… *eeww* Anyway the fries were not home cut…? The burger was half the size I remembered it and more expensive. It was an Ok burger… Not much flavor and seasoned with the freshest cough a person could ask for courtesy of our waitress. I ate like I was in a competition and we left right away so I could go get a flu shot. Horrible experience, a shame as several years prior I remember it being a great place to get great food.

A hidden little family run restaurant I’ve driven by hundreds of times. Finally decided to stop in for breakfast on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff and basically zero wait time plus a really great home style breakfast means I’ll definitely be coming back! If you’re a Maritimer, you’ll dig Jacks.
