Very delicious food and very friendly staff! It is on the more expensive side price wise, but the food is definitely worth it! I will be dining here again!

We are fairly regular — @ once/month or so over past few years. We always have a good meal here. We highly recommend their schnitzel! When comfort food is wanted, my partner loves the Chicken Mornay whereas I like one of the pasta dishes or the goulash. They have a modest but well rounded of beers on tap and an extensive selection of bottled. Their house wines are well chosen and we like both of their Malbecs.

I didn’t get a chance to actually try anything here because the bartender, clearly drunk, immediately began screaming at us «GETOUT. NOW. GETOUT! GETTHE F*** OUT!» We were confused if this was a joke or not because their door was unlocked, there were a few other people there, all the lights were on, but after the third or fourth scream to get out we left. Absolutely bizarre and a great way to alienate potential customers, I’ve never been here before but I’m most certainly never going to go again. You know what would’ve worked even better than drunkenly screaming at people? «Sorry we left the door open and our signs up and it’s actually before the time we listed as our closing time, but we’re actually closed right now.»

The atmosphere here is absolutely perfect. Dark wood, dim lighting, and an overall cozy feeling that is perfect to comfortably have a meal or drink in. Definitely a place that you could take a date too. They’ve also got live music on some nights, so if you’re looking for entertainment it’s great. The service was great. Very friendly, quick, and attentive. The bartender helped recommend drinks for our group, which was nice since they have a decently sized drink menu. We used a coupon(woo, Unilocal perks!) to get a couple of starters and a main. The smoked salmon starter was fairly average. The prawns were delicious! I’m usually not a huge fan, but I could have eaten another dish of those bad boys. So garlicky and yum. The steak was to die for. Perfectly cooked, so so so tender, and covered in this magical demi glaze that stole my heart. The veggies were also cooked just right. The only complaint I can have is that the potatoes were a little salty, but that’s reaching.

I had always gone past and thought it was just a hole in the wall bar. But like many places along whyte it never is what it seems. The building is very old and they have kept most of the original charm. It’s a small dining space so you will want to make a reservation. We came in early for our reso(5:40) which let us choose what table we wanted. There were only 2 other tables with older couples. The washrooms are small, only a single person for women. The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. Accent is a «European lounge» and it reflects on the menu. So many choices we had a tough time deciding. With a very extensive beer list and old style bartending. We had the salmon dill starter which is a favorite of mine and will keep me coming back for more. The only thing that could make it better would be if the bread were mini bagels instead but that’s minor. I settled on the beef schnitzel with veggies. The veggies were very big but cooked perfectly so they were very easy to cut through. The beef was amazing. perfectly crusted and not chewy at all. For dessert I had an apple struddle. It was so delicious and the perfect portion. By the time we got dessert the place was almost full and with more younger people. I would highly recommend for a quiet dinner option

I thought hard about writing this review because I came in on a hot summer day for a staggette party. I don’t think it was the best situation and i want to give this place a chance. Someone in the party booked us a table here for 10 girls at 8pm. To be honest I do not like parading on the streets dressed in our gear in daylight but due to awesome summer weather it was hot and bright outside till 10pm. When we got there it was a cozy lounge type bar(we were not dressed for the place, we were over dressed). It looked like a type of place you can just hangout with your friends on a relaxed afternoon having a few beers and eating appies. I was very disappointed in the choice of venue, when you’re dressed to the nines you expect to go to a «fine dining restaurant». I swear if it was me planning this event things would be smoother. The place was on the rustic side. We got our cocktails so they do have a full bar with wine and beer on tap. Then we ordered food, I had the steak tare tare which seemed to be the hype of the place, my companions had hummus, salad, and a few others I can’t recall. It was way too hot to be there in our dresses, there was no air conditioning or even a fan… Yes I was not having a good time. The bathroom was located in a odd place. The one girl described«keep going down pass the kitchen until you feel very uncomfortable, you will see a door to the left». She described it perfectly. The steal tare tare tasted really good so there’s a plus. I will come back to check this place out again when I am more in the«chill mode».

Love! We wanted to go for a date night and checked out the website for Accent. Online they said they were fully booked for the time we wanted, but when we called in they were happy to take our reservation. I even called a few hours before our reservation and asked if we could bring 2 more people and they were totally cool with it. This place has a really cozy vibe. Lower lighting, dark wood, comfy seats/benches and real flowers on the table. It’s pretty small but not cramped. Our server was lovely and on the ball. We tried the first red wine on the list and it was probably one of the best I’ve had. I ordered the prawn pasta, my partner got the salmon and our guests got the bruschetta and we were all blown away by our meals. I would absolutely return to this place, either with friends or just with my partner. That pasta alone… mmmm.

I came here with a friend kind of by accident. We had plans to go to Next Act but it was closed. He suggested Accent mentioning that they had the best Bacon Wrapped Lobster… Not that I could eat that, but I was up for somewhere new! Upon arrival I was a little shocked! I was expecting something a little more posh but was pleasantly surprised. This cozy little spot is just the type of place that I love! More like a pub atmosphere filled with all walks of life. Our server immediately greeted us and asked us if we’d like something to drink. I chose one of their rotating tap beers. Their menu is of decent size, offering a wide range of eats. I noticed a slight European influence! I chose the Mornet and my friend chose the Filet. The food came out hot and in a timely manner. The Filet was absolutely beautiful! A little underdone to my friends liking but still tasty. My Mornet was slightly less beautiful… And if I didn’t already know how delicious a Mornet was, I’d probably wonder why it looked so bland… White chicken hidden in white duchess potatoes with white mushrooms smothered in white sauce! Kinda hard to make that look pretty! Nevertheless it was DELICIOUS! I didn’t leave anything on my plate, I highly recommend this dish! All in all I enjoyed my experience at @accentlounge. It’s really a hidden gem!

We visit Accent a lot as it’s in our neighbourhood and it’s always a great place to go. They have great specials, my favourite is Thursday half off a bottle of wine with purchase of an entrée. The service is consistently fabulous, and the staff are usually all the same, it’s nice to see a face you know and can depend on good service. Aside from the wine I love the Garlic Shrimp and Goulash. They have a nice cocktail selection, along with a great ambience and it the summer time they have a small patio.

A great selection of wine and beers, as well as fancy cocktails. An excellent and diverse menu, with daily specials. Not to mention the best steak tartare I’ve ever had in my life! If you are a fan of this delicious dish, ask for the large. You won’t be disappointed!

Awful! We went there for a Christmas party and let’s just say I’m not going back there. Not only our table wasn’t ready at the time we had scheduled but they seated us right under the heating vents that were blowing hot air on us all night long. One of the appetizers we had was the bacon wrapped lobster and I’m not even sure if that was real lobster they served us. It was chewy, smothered in a white sauce that tasted like flour and it was on top of a pita which was on top of a piece of stale bread. Just awful! Our entrees were even more disastrous! I had the«filet» which was definitely not filet as it big strips of fat in it and it was just charred, tough and bland. It was served with a strip of bacon on the side(something that was just thrown together), vegetables that weren’t cooked and something that I can only describe as pre-packaged store bought hash browns. This was $ 32. My husband had the«lamb rack»($ 34) that was butchered into lollipops and each of them the amount of meat itself was paper thin. Everyone got the same crappy sides as I did. Dessert was another disappointing blow. Some people had the strudel that tasted like nothing and I had crepes which was one crêpe completely undercooked almost raw. Our bill was over $ 400 and I felt like I was robbed. I’m still angry… lol They don’t really deserve the one star I’m giving them…

Great all round — my wife is in love with the Mornet, I with the Tenderloin sandwich. Service couldn’t have been better — Malorie accommodated us beautifully, seating us twice so we could enjoy the patio and the fringey passers-by. Outstanding!

My bf and I ate here just recently and we are huge fans! I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and a light olive oil garlic sauce and he had a very tasty and filling chicken dish… both of these items(including our caesar salad) came out quickly and the flavors were very smooth, and not over powering. Service was great, atmosphere very cozy and friendly, and bathrooms were spotless. I have suggested this restaurant to many of my friends and I will return for sure.

This restaurant has a great location but I was disappointed when I went inside. I was told by a friend that this restaurant had a unique French Canadian flare. I found that the mouldings in the interior seemed to all have an incongruent stain and that I found myself wishing that they did a better job on the interior of their restaurant. I was truly hoping that there would be an abundance of «unique» French Canadian dishes on the menu and did not find this to be the case. I hope they tailor their menu to mimic the French Canadian menus found in Montréal and Ottawa sometime soon, as I truly believe that a restaurant who did so would perform very well in the Edmonton marketplace. The vibe for coffee or beers was suitable. It’s not a bad place to meet friends who you haven’t recently seen because you can actually hear each other!

Accent is a cosy bistro located on Whyte Avenue and 104 st — one of the Avenue’s trendiest areas — and offers a full dinner menu made entirely in-house. For lunch, the restaurant offered a bistro sandwich menu with options such as the Original Schnitzel Sandwich and the Chicken Cordon Bleu. I chose the Goat Cheese and Prosciutto sandwich, which I figured would pair extremely well with my Finca Flichman malbec(I was right). Served on ciabatta bread with fried potatoes and vegetables, the sandwich was the epitome of traditional bistro fare: fresh, savoury, and rich with a delightfully crispy exterior. I almost didn’t have room for dessert(and several more glasses of wine), but I made it work. The cheesecake was a great meal finisher: not too sweet, but with just enough saccharine and tart goodness to cleanse the palate. Accent delivered a great meal and the restaurant’s atmosphere is homey, cosy, and comforting. I’m excited to visit Accent again in the future, and with Rack of Lamb, Filet Mignon, and Tenderloin Sandwiches on the dinner menu, I know that it’ll be a meal that’s sure to satisfy. P. S. I’ve heard the steak tartare is to die for. Worth a shot?

Went here for a girl geek dinner. Decent ambiance, everyone was friendly. However, their food is only okay. I ordered a rib eye, and usually that’s something that should be a no brainer. Still, mine came out with no real sear on the outside — you know that beautiful slight char — and was more rare than I liked. I like my steaks on the rare side of medium rare, but this was bordering on blue. Nothing memorable for me, but not bad at all.

The best steak tartare in Edmonton, hands down. Oh and the rest of the food is pretty darn good as well! Wednesday nights it’s half price tartare, and that’s when you’ll find me and a few other protein loving folks down there enjoying the beauty of raw meat with one of the many excellent quality beers offered at this lovely European-style lounge. A no-fail hang out place just off Whyte with a relaxed, conversational atmosphere. One of my favourites!

First of all, the atmosphere is nice; lots of dark wood, dim lights, friendly staff, no loud music, and not too big. I get a nice relaxed, cozy feeling whenever I come here. The food isn’t stunning, but I’ve never had anything bad and the amount of food you get for the price seems reasonable to me. I do, however, love the Steak Tartar and that’s discounted on Wednesday nights. I wish there were more taps(there’s 6 or 7) or perhaps more beer I like on the taps that they have, but there’s usually at least one beer on there I’m happy to drink. And if you’re lucky, you might even convince the owner to dig something cool out of the bottle fridge.

Great atmosphere. It’s mostly a dining space but there is room for maybe 5 at the bar. The décor is dark, the lights dimly lit. This atmosphere seems more like a place for higher-end of middle dinning. It’s less of a pub/waterhole in my opinion so just know that going in there. The menu seems a bit limited. There looked like some interesting options, but it looks like a lot of filler dishes as well. For example, Pasta and Bowls section has Beef Goulash and Mornet … cool! That’s not typical! Interesting! However, in the same section Mushroom and Prawn pasta just doesn’t have the«interesting» factor. An additional example, in the Entrees section you have schnitzel, Weiner and Chicken, and Maple Dijon Salmon … you got my attention! This is lumped in with a tenderloin sandwich and Chicken Ciabatta Sandwhich … why? It just kind of felt like Accent was trying to straddle between higher end and pub dinning. This was kind of confusing and giving me a headache so I decided to just order the soup of the day. The service was … direct! I think they were a little under staffed. Too bad Accent never expected such a turnout on a Tuesday. I think I could be a fan of Accent Lounge because it looks like they have a good beer and wine selection. However, I think I will go back when I feel more like dinning rather than hanging out at a pub.
