I am giving it a 2 because the pitcher of White Sangria tasted quite good(not so sugary and it wasn’t watered down, the waitress was also nice enough to really go «easy» on the ice). We came in here after a book reading and were just hungry enough for a little snack. My companion doesn’t eat meat and isn’t crazy about fish so the waitress kindly said that we could easily order the small order of nachos with just the basics. If it hadn’t been for the fact that we were both quite a bit hungry, we wouldn’t have eaten them at all. Firstly, as photos are VERY deceiving, the toppings we had were LESS than what we expected(I was able to count the number of tomato slivers – yes, really). As well, besides the fact that there was hardly any cheese, the«jalapeño» cheese tasted like store bought cheese wiz(and yes, I do know what this tastes like because I HAVE eaten it and known I was eating it ;-)). What I can’t get over is that it was a slow afternoon and I would have thought(and hoped) the kitchen could have put in a bit more effort in to such a small and easy appetizer… guess not. On this, I won’t be agreeing to go to this BP location(and this makes two of them now, the other at Westmount Center).

Great location near my place. Love the atmosphere. Food was warm and delicious and our server was really nice. He made sure our drinks never ran out and had a smile on his face at all times. I wish they had a garbage near the door of the washrooms though. I like to grab the door handle with a paper towel and just throw it out as I’m leaving.

I think, as with most Boston Pizzas, this Boston Pizza is fairly consistent and we usually go to it out of convenience. There is nothing spectacular about this BP but nothing terrible either. BP’s has made an effort of making more specials throughout the week and we went on a Tuesday for pasta. Both the food and the service was good. Our waiter was good about checking on us regularly and refilling our waters and the food tasted like it ways does. Like I said at the start, this Boston Pizza is pretty consistent.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Boston Pizza, but after winning a gift card I returned. I ordered a veggie pizza and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was.

I know that people from Alberta are obsessed with this place as it is the epitome of this province. Personally I just don’t see it. I go here with groups but This is not a place I would go on my own Also I don’t mind paying $ 31 for a pizza if its a good but the pizza but the pizza at BP’s is the like a pizza proto-type. The Pizza at famoso is half of that price and is actually good. So how this place managed to stay a float and grow to the size it has grown to never seizes to amaze me.

I would never waste my time eating at this restaurant, let alone call for a delivery. I called Boston pizza at 1:26 and ordered a pizza and Pepsi for delivery, to my hotel which is literally one block away. I was told it would take an hour for deliver, even though I was surprised it would take so long to deliver I said ok and waited patiently for my pizza to arrive. Oh ya I forgot to mention I was on hold for 3 minutes before someone actually picked up. Seems weird for it to take that making, especially when your calling a call center, but who cares I’m starving. So then I wait… patiently, for my pizza to arrive at my hotel room, one block away. Well an hour and ten minutes passes so I call to find out where my pizza is. After talking with two people at the restaurant they ask me if I’m in room 716. I tell them no I’m in 916. Just like I told the girl on the phone. Who confirmed that with me while I was placing my order. So then the manage/witch(replace the w with a b) tells me «oh he went to the wrong room». Well that’s funny cause I left my cell phone number with the girl at said call center, which was also confirmed when I placed the order. So I said to cancel the order. And of course the witch I spoke to didn’t care and just said ok. She didn’t Try to rectify the situation. And say sorry for the confusion. She doesnt care. She probably wants to eat it herself. So frustrating. Such horrible customer service. 80 minutes wasted for a pizza that never came. Don’t eat here. I’m sure the pizza takes like crap.

Although BPs tend to yield a pretty consistent experience, as most chains do, it’s always the crowd and the staff that make a difference. This particular Boston Pizza is a bit on the rough side. I think a lot of the corporate types who used to enjoy happy hour here have moved on to greener pastures as the core sees more«boutique» watering holes pop up around the arena district. Expect to see more than a few neck tattoos, and a lot of dually trucks in the parking lot. That said, the servers here are typically very friendly and efficient, and I don’t have any complaints about the food or service. This is a good spot if you’re a bit scrubbed out and craving some unpretentious ‘za or beer.

We did have a very large group when we went, with one dedicated server to our group. I ordered the beef dip. Normally served with au jus anywhere you go, they had French Onion Soup for the dipping. It looked like the sandwich had been sitting out for a while before it was served. The fries were cold and stale. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich which he said wasn’t great and he had the same issue with his fries. Service was good, nothing remarkable. It took quite a while for refills. I have been a few times before and it has never been a stellar experience. There is free parking on the west side of the building and a great patio for the summer time. Convenient if you just want a bite to eat.

This is the Boston Pizza location that I’m most likely to frequent. I’ve been visiting for well over a decade now and while the staff has been varied over the years, I’ve enjoyed visiting here at various times of day for various reasons. My most recent visit was during the early afternoon for Boston Pizza’s 50th anniversary because of their $ 5 pizza promotion(which was indeed just $ 5! I did tip, of course as my service was great). In the past I’ve visited in the late night after ballroom dance events, late morning for an early lunch and every time period in between on weekdays and weekends for gatherings with friends, alone or on a date. And while the food is the standard fare that all Boston Pizza locations have, this location is fairly consistent with service. I tend to get better service in the restaurant section(and I use this area more often) rather than in the lounge, but I’ve definitely visited both. I like the fact that Boston Pizza is a good place to go and relax over a meal or drinks or snacks, or dessert for a few hours and not have to be terribly rushed, but where you can get in and out in an hour or less if need be. The patio is nice on a summer day as well.

Came out for boston pizza’s 50th anniversary. They had a special on for all their individual pizzas for $ 5. This is quite a good deal as normally these pizzas are $ 12 or more. The free parking they have outside is great especially downtown. The service that we had however was not that great. We came into the lounge early with no one else in the restaurant and still had to wait 10 minutes before anyone came to the table. The pizzas that we got were good. But I think they are worth closer to the $ 5 instead of the $ 12 on the regular menu.

Worst Boston Pizza I have ever been to. Boyfriend and I went here, to the lounge of course as it was Friday night AND game night to boot. The lounge was very short on customers yet had five or six servers all hovering around the bar. We got a young woman who did not look happy and was very short. I happened to notice that she only had one other table, those customers also did not look happy and left quickly after arriving as she did not pay attention to them either. Chris got a schooner of coors and I got a Bellini. We ordered the steak bites as an appy and pizza for main. His was the burger one and mine was the great white north. It took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Let me remind you how dead it was in the lounge. Why did it take 15 minutes? Oh, maybe because she was standing around talking to her buddies while we stared at her blankly thinking«wtf?». Our drinks arrived. Appy arrived a bit later. My pizza was greasy and very scarce in ham, packed in cheese. Very disappointing as this is my go-to pizza on the menu. Overall, customer service was poor and unacceptable given the time of night and how slow it was inside. I don’t appreciate things like that. Will not return to lounge.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this Boston Pizza a try while we were strolling along Jasper Ave. The service and atmosphere pretty much matched any other regular Boston Pizza. For some odd reason I was craving my old childhood favourite, which is the«bugs and cheese.» I was a little embarrassed and unsure while ordering it, but the waitress was pretty considerate and understanding. She told me she would have to talk with management to double check the policy regarding adults ordering off the children’s menu. Fortunately, she told me they were able to offer me «bugs and cheese,» but at a higher price due to «alterations» that had to be made. So I was fine with that. Until it arrived. I was expecting a bigger portion, or an altered version of the dish, but it was the exact same portion as the children’s one with garlic bread. Now, don’t get me wrong. I didn’t mind paying a higher price due to the fact that they told me they would«alter» it. But it was essentially the same portion, with the only difference being a slice of garlic bread that cost me an extra 4 dollars. I don’t appreciate being lied to, and I also wouldn’t have minded if they had told me they would charge an extra 2 bucks or so for the same portion. Definitely not impressed with management! Also, the boneless chicken wings could’ve used a little more sauce, as they were more on the dry side.

Free parking downtown at a restaurant is pretty awesome. I stopped in after work for chicken wings and a quick drink. I got the oven baked hot wings and they were great. The best part was that it was all free because the manager of this BPs runs great twitter contests where you can win $ 25 gift cards. You should check them out on twitter @bpjasperave and you could bring me with you next time.

I was here on a cold evening in November. It was snowing and I wanted something other than room service. I trudged through the snow and thought, «Hey, we have Boston Pizza in BC. They’re not bad. This can’t be that bad.» Wrong. It wasn’t a busy night, but somehow every single person on staff ignored me as I stood waiting to be seated for a solid half hour. After I pestered half a dozen wait staff as they passed by, I was finally given a seat. I ordered the spicy Italian penne and had it served with practically raw onions and unmelted cheese. I understand all the entrees are just frozen and microwaved before serving, but they could at least properly microwave it before serving right? Nope. I regret not opting to just go with room service…

This location receives two stars mainly due to the unsightly cigarette butts piled up along the entrance to the restaurant and because the sanitation and hygiene of the facility is below standard. As you approach the restaurant outside, there are hundreds of cigarette butts discarded at the entrance. This is unsightly and simply disgusting and just shows a complete lack of courtesy and respect for the environment and to the customer. I believe this is also a window into how a restaurant operates because if the operator cannot clean up the exterior of the facility then I have no reason to believe that there are mechanisms in place for cleaning up the interior. My suspicions were correct. The foyer was filthy. There was dust that had accumulated on the timbers and on the lighting fixtures which had not been cleaned for several months or years. Insects were noted in the lighting fixtures above the seating area(one of the light bulbs by the way was burnt out). Waitresses were loitering around the counter area rubbing and stroking their hair and not subsequently washing their hands. Hair is a repository of fungi and bacteria and is easily transferred to any surface. I also witnessed waitresses wiping their noses inadvertently then they would serve a customer. These motions should be immediately put in check by a manager. I had ordered a perogy pizza for take away and had it not been for the step that the pizza comes out of a very high temperature oven then into a cardboard box, I calculated the risk assessment for the acquisition of a communicable disease to be low given those circumstances. Since this particular Boston Pizza does not appear to practice a routine sanitation(for the building and grounds) and hygiene program(for employees), I have to give this restaurant a pass because I fear food borne illness here.

Have been going there annually for a friend’s birthday and a few times after dancing on sat nights… but it is terrible. I waited 2 hours to order food(there were 5 other tables in the restaurant and more servers than tables) and eventually ordered by going to the bar. The food was terrible, I’m not sure if that was ever really chicken. And I had to get up and go get water myself, cutlery myself and then find chilis and other condiments myself. Server seemed happy to serve men but if you are a woman then you will likely not get served. It was the worst eating and food service experience i have ever had in edmonton. They also have a survey on the receipt to give feedback, It has the wrong phone number written on it and our server did not give us an access code to complete the survey. I tried to call in before writing this review in case they were to apologize. Nope. No apology. they don’t care. We were there January 2013.

We came here for a business lunch for 10 and although we couldn’t make a reservation, the manager suggested we preorder to make things go faster and to arrive a little after the lunch rush around 12:45. We arrived just before and we happy to see they had our table ready. Large parties will find it a bit tight on one side of the table if the tables behind are occupied. The food came up pretty quickly after we received our drinks. I had the deluxe individual pizza. One can never go wrong with pizza, and I like the crispy crust. Many of us ordered side salads and they were big. I couldn’t finish mine and the whole pizza. The waiter ensured our drinks were filled which I appreciated. It gets noisy in the restaurant, and busy at lunchtime but this experience was enjoyable. If you like people watching, a booth by the window will give you a great view of Jasper Ave!

Coworker & I stopped in for dinner. He had eaten there before, but I hadn’t so he gave me fair warning about my next statement. This place has the messiest, most disorganized menu I have ever seen. Each time I looked at it, I was confused about what kind of restaurant it was. It was about 6 when we went in, the restaurant area had a wait so we sat in the bar area. Our waitress wasn’t attentive at all, it took her at least 10 minutes to acknowledge that we were sitting in her section & then an additional 10 minutes for her to bring us our drinks. After she brought back the drinks she never bothered to ask if we were ready to order food, so we had to wave her down to get our food. In any event, the food wasn’t spectacular, the service was mediocre, borderline bad & I probably won’t visit this location again.
