Although it’s generally really busy here with large line ups, especially during the weekend, I have to say that the customer service is pretty great; everytime I’ve gone here, the bottle sorter always had a smile on his face, was polite and quick to get you on your way. If I’m in the area needing to recycle my bottles, I’d definitely drop in.

I’ve never seen so many smiles at a bottle depot, but the people who work here do their best to make counting bottles a happy place. Recently, this bottle depot got a few upgrades making it a tad more classy. They did a paint job on one wall so it’s neat and tidy. They used to have lights on top of each of the six stalls indicating which ones were open. Now they’ve got actual numbers which flash when they’re available. It’s like I’m shopping at Winners, but not. Also new is a computer screen at each stall which shows you how much they’ve counted every time they enter it in the computer system. This is nice as you get to see your money progress if you bring in lots of bottles. It’s convenient and seems pretty«high tech» for Edmonton. My only complaint is that they should really paint some lines in the parking lot so people just don’t park anywhere. Almost got boxed in once.

This bottle depot had lots of shopping carts to load up the bags of empties from parties, beerfests, and late night drinking to numb the pain of work the next day. The line up moves pretty fast as there are 5 drop off windows. The workers are fast and efficient, and probably pretty good at math too. We had 3 ½ bags and within 15 minutes we turned it into 50 bucks in our wallets!
