HMV

Not the worst location nor the best. This HMV has a lot, surprisingly well packed in there. The store frontage is as small as humanly possible for this mall but it opens up inside and goes all the way back.
Their liquidation stuff is usually near the front of the store. They have some things that even catch my eye, and I despise this chain.
Most of their merch is the same as every other HMV, so don’t expect the world. Staff here has always been good.
If anything, kudos on management here for hiring and retaining employees who aren’t brain-​dead.
There is a limited Doctor Who section, but it is there. Their movie selection is not bad too. One awesome thing I overheard today, a customer was looking for some movie and the clerk went ‘into the back’ and got her own put-​aside copy. She gave it to the customer and said she could have it, she just put it aside for herself but had no idea out would sell out. Whatever it was, it had just come out today and the clerk said she didn’t think it would sell out. That right there was something you don’t often see.
For this reason alone, they get 5 stars.
