Stopped by to pick up lunch at 12:00. It seemed that they are not 100% set up. A lot of the sandwiches did not have tags identifying what they were. Also, when I tried to order the phở soup I was told«it’s not ready». There was also mass confusion as to where you place your order and where you pay. There are no signs. Turns out you order by the sandwich display case and work your way down to the cashier. The workers seemed very overwhelmed as they ran around behind the counter.

This La Prep location is a great stop for a quick morning latte or a tasty, relatively healthy lunch! The morning selection includes a variety of breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, pastries, fruit cups and a wide range of coffees, teas, smoothies and other hot beverages. It’s also nice that the workers always greet me with a smile, despite the early 7 o clock hour! Lunch options usually include a hot dish(usually lasagna of some sort with garlic bread), a variety of wraps, paninis and sandwiches, several soup selections and quite a few salads. There are various combos offered including sandwich and soup, soup and salad, etc. A few downsides include the price– it’s fairly expensive for lunch considering nit’s just grab and go(around $ 12 for sandwich, salad and a drink), however the quality is pretty good so it’s not often disappointing. As well, since this is the only food outlet in Enbridge Place, it can be quite busy if you don’t get there early for morning coffee or lunch. At times the line is 15 people deep which is discouraging… but this can be avoided by adjusting your coffee or lunch schedule accordingly. La Prep gets 4 stars in my eyes because of the inviting, friendly service and the freshness of their prepared foods!

My go-to place for lunch on lazy days! La Prep offers a variety of healthy meal options for breakfast and lunch. It’s a little pricier than your average fast-food place, but I think you get more for your dollar here as it’s both delicious and healthy. They offer fresh grilled paninis, sandwiches, various vegetable and pasta salads, quiches, samosas and meat pies as well as vegetarian options. There are usually at least two soups of the day, the cream of mushroom and potato/leek soup being my favorites. They usually offer a hot meal combo for lunch everyday as well, usually a type of pasta dish with salad and garlic toast. The servings are also quite large so it’s well worth it. There are also classic favorites not featured on their menu or in the display case. If you have a hankering for a classic grilled cheese sandwich, they will whip up one that rivals your mother’s homemade version! La Prep also does catering, and we use them a lot for our meetings and events. The service is quick and reliable, and the staff are always super friendly and sweet!
