New favourite café in Edmonton. Espresso snobs need only apply. Impressive beverages made with Italian and euro-roasted beans(who isn’t over this cinnamon roast crap and origin feel?). Suggestion: cortado breve. Another suggestion: bring your laptop and enjoy the bar tables and wifi.

Everything you want from a coffee shop. Quick service, a comfy place to enjoy a beverage, friendly staff, and if working downtown, a convenient location(on Jasper). And the coffee? So good! If you want to try something unique for your java fix, give Lock Stock a try.

I am so loving this! A totally unique space that houses a super cool coffee shop that has perhaps the best name for a coffee shop ever: Lock Stock. Love! With plenty of room, solid wifi, great staff, and some tasty treats. I have been making Lock Stock a regular place for taking mid day business meetings. My go to beverage on the menu however is not their coffee, or any caffinated beverages — it is their fresh squeezed(when you order it, so it takes a few minutes to make) orange juice! Hello vitamin C!

Downtown YEG is so lucky to have all these great coffee shops popping up! Lock Stock is literally a hole in the ground, right between 105st and 106st, where the Red Star pub is. I love how the space is decorated. It’s small, but definitely enough room to sit and enjoy your coffee if you so choose. They also have truly amazing pastries here… rosemary bacon cheddar muffin, strawberry buttermilk loaf, cookies, biscuits. This is just another great option for some delicious coffee sans sugar in downtown YEG, so check it out.

Lock Stock is another great addition to Edmonton’s burgeoning downtown coffee scene. Attached to Red Star Pub, Lock Stock shares Red Star’s low-key but elegant décor and offers delicious coffee and baked goods. Lock Stock can be hard to find at first, located down the stairs that lead to Red Star and the Bower and barely marked with any signage. Upon entering, the narrow but comfortable space leads to a coffee counter which serves delicious Danesi coffee and treats like delicious mini-carrot cake. There’s not much else to say about Lock Stock, other than that its relatively discreet location and unassuming appearance is perfect for a quick drink or a long chat away from the usual hustle and bustle of Jasper ave during the day. The coffee is great, the space is unique and it is another great addition to Edmonton’s coffee shop boom.
