Old Szechuan Chinese Restaurant

Let me start by saying that the food is delicious.
This place is always slammed. Noisy. Even on weekdays. If you have a reservation, you may still have to wait. We only waited about 10 minutes and got to order quite quickly.
We waited an hour for the food to arrive. Hard to get their attention.
Numerous apologies for the wait time. We really didn’t have anywhere else to go, so we didn’t really care.
We had the shredded beef with chili peppers. It also had stir fried carrot and celery.
The menu had it pictured with 2 chilies beside the item. It was plenty spicy enough for us. We like things spicy, but I could not imagine going for the 5 chili pepper dishes.
We also had the pork bellies. Nom nom nom.
Spinach with garlic and dried pork bellies. Yummy.
Noodles and black bean sauce. Scrumptious.
4 dishes is way too much for a couple, so we took lots home.
It all presented well and was not full of MSG or sugar.
We only had tea, but you can get some basic beers and wines.
It was not a romantic place for a Valentin’s dinner, but since the food was awesome, I’ll give it a pass.

This place is horrible, my family and I ordered 3 dishes and waited for like 2.5 hours. And the dishes was just terrible, and it was expensive. Not worth it.

This is a very busy place during dinner time especially on the weekends. So if you are willing to wait for 1 hour for your food it’s pretty good. The dish are delicious and arranged quite fancifully. It’s also on the more expensive side when compared to other Chinese restaurant but I like the food!

This place was terrible. We ordered «Mapo tofu»; I asked if it was tofu with mixed vegetable. He said yes– we got it and it had no vegetable AND MEAT. Then they blamed it on us saying we never told them we were vegetarian. Plus it’s very expensive. And the second dish legit tasted like there was poison in it– which I know is dramatic but it was inedible. We basically paid 30 $ for three bites of tofu and white rice. PLUS THEY KEEP A MILLION FISH IN A LITTLE TANK. SOME ARE EVEN UPSIDE DOWN. Obviously I’m mad right now but serious screw this place.

Super good. The spicy fish is the one you need to try.
