I must have gotten yesterday’s chicken burger(The Token) and they compensated by saucing it so much my bun was soggy and falling apart. This was disgusting and not even close to being worth what I paid. Sorely disappointing.

I ate here recently, sadly didn’t try one of their burgers but did have their fries & a shake-which I did wait a long 15 minutes for. I appreciated that the fries were home cut, and the gravy wasn’t overly salty, but the shake was honestly nothing impressive. Could have been Chapman’s vanilla ice cream &2% milk for all I know. The price was pretty steep for the milkshake, but the quality of the fries made its price reasonable. Though I didn’t mind it here, it was very noisy; people are talking, banging about in the kitchen and blaring music. Also the process of ordering food seems to lack flow within the space itself. It was a nice change & a place I’d go back to for what is essentially fancy«fast» food, but I’m definitely in no rush to go back.

Should have guessed by the translucent paper bag that this was a bad idea. The burger was dripping with grease. The fries, dripping with grease. Best part of eating at Burgers Priest was the hot girl behind the counter, other than that no reason to go there.

My boyfriend and i decided to stop into this place to give it a try(after id begged him to come check it out with me) so off we went on a little date night and it was really good, i got The Vatican and it was extremely tasty, along with not really being the healtiest thing there, a burger with two grilled cheeses instead of a bun. I like how simple the toppings are yet there was an alright variety of them. We got there a little too late to try their shakes, which kind of dissappointed me but that was poor planning on my part for deciding we should go later at night. The restaurant itself was really cool. Very clean and crisp looking. I would definately go again but probably a little earlier so i could try one if their malt shakes.

Since it open, i have been there for a tour of great burger experience but when i found it is actually a tour of overpriced burger experience, i give it up. Burger is truly tasted good. Good seasoning, fresh vegetables and great beef. I always order cheese burger because i believe the cheese burger is the signature for every burger restaurant. But a single cheese burger with a can pop and a fries will easily over 13 dollars. Although the burger tasted better than the McDonald’s but the service is not. The cook will yell your number in a noisy restaurant and you just cannot hear that because of the noise. Btw, the fries looks like a home kitchen stlye but it just tasted ok. If you never try this burger restaurant, you can give a try.

We recently went to The Burger’s Priest for dinner where we ordered two cheesburgers, with two sides of fries. Overall, I wanted to share that we were disappointment with the portion size and quality of the meal we received, when compared to the price. The quality issues are that they use processed cheese, like any other fast food place, and on that night the fries were greasy and old. But, you pay a premium. The burgers themselves were very small, but you pay a premium. For the same price, you could get Fatburger or Five guys, which are both better quality and portion size, or for cheaper you could just go to McDonalds which is about the same.

I ordered the Buffalo blue cheese chicken burger with bacon(I forgot what it was called). The burger was really small and messy, as most of the Buffalo sauce missed the burger and was all over the outside of the bun. There was also way too much of it so that’s all I could taste. What’s the point of blue cheese and bacon if you can’t taste it. The A&W version from a few years back was way better. My fiancé had the high priest and apparently it tasted like an expensive big Mac. Not stoked on the price as 25 $ for 2 burgers 1 order of fries and 2 cans of pop was a bit steep. Probably won’t go there again.

I ordered the classic cheese burger here and the chilli cheese fries(chilli on the side). Honestly the fries were disappointing, but the burger was what I came for. It was juicy without being too fatty although I would of preferred a little more fat, the service here was good and I liked sitting on the bar stools. The area was clean and I’d love to go back and get another burger.

I heard mixed reviews before going here. If you are expecting a homemade, gourmet burger like something from The Next Act Pub(which gets a 5 star rating), don’t come here. If you crave a Big Mac but want the best Big Mac EVER, this is your place. That’s the best and only way I can describe it! It depends what you’re looking for. As for speed though, make sure you give yourself enough time to get in and out as this is not as quick as a fast food chain. Definitely worth a try!

When I got to burgers priest I opened Unilocal to read a few reviews and find out what’s good. The consistent theme seemed to be that all of their burgers are pretty good and that their fries are«soggy». I made the decision to order the bacon double cheeseburger with secret sauce, mayo and ketchup with tomato and pickle on the side. For the fries I asked to have them well done. The burger was awesome, it wasn’t too big despite being a double and all the items went well together. I really liked it. My buddy got the fries cooked regular. I thought the regular fries were good, but the well done fries were even better. So next time you head in ask for your fries well done, you will be happy you did!

Burger. Fantastic! Service. A little on the rude side. Fries. Well… they looked much better than they tasted. California Classic Single. Fresh. Juicy. Well seasoned. ~$ 8.00. Really enjoyed this burger. Service. Seemed a liitle annoyed I didn’t know the process. When they call your number, a woman yells from behid a counter that’s franky as tall as I am. Then she turns away. Then she calls again. I dont recall seeing any of the usual«order here» and«pick up here» signage. I’m also pretty sure that having to tell me that they only sold cans of pop was troublesome for her. Chilli Cheese fries. Looked so very good. Tasted… unfortunately quite bland. Overall. I would certainly like to try more offerings from their burger lineup… But I will never again go out of my way to eat here.

I went here for the first time yesterday as a group of friends were craving burgers. It’s a fast serve joint with a selection of about 8 burgers. Most of the burgers are a variation of 1 or 2 patties, with or without bacon, spicy and special sauce. The size of the single patty burgers are about the same size as a Dairy Queen burger. The buns are nicely toasted and burgers are fairly flavourful. We got a side of fries and they were nice and crispy. Unfortunately Burger Priest doesn’t offer a great selection of toppings. Your normal lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. I would have liked to see avocado, banana peppers, spinach ect. Burgers range from $ 7-$ 10. I would say it’s a little over priced for what you get.

I actually really liked the burgers here! I got the Vatican one time and the California classic another. Both were greasy and delicious — just what I want in a burger. You don’t need to order fries unless you’re really hungry. Or you could share the fries between a couple of people. Overall I did like burgers, they are massive. And for anyone who doesn’t eat beef, you can replace the beef with chicken. Just don’t get the chicken burger itself as the gravy is beef gravy. :)

I was pretty hesitant to come here after reading such mixed reviews. Therefore my expectations weren’t very high. Needless to say, our burgers(although fresh tasting), lacked seasoning and anything special to keep us coming back. My boyfriend and I both agreed on this point. Their toppings were fresh though which was nice. I ordered the basic burger(no cheese), with lettuce, tomato, pickle and ketchup whereas my boyfriend ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with all the fixin’s. We also ordered a side of fries. The fries were decent, nothing to write home about either. Overall, for the price, I think there are better options of burgers around as the burgers here leave you slightly unsatisfied.

I’m actually really disappointed. For all the hype, this was a total flop. I expected the menu to have more creative burger combination with unique ingredients; everything was pretty basic. Little did I know(until I was writing this review) that they have a secret menu online which you must answer a skills question to access. Neat premise, but I think it’s a failed novelty because in my case I did not know about these combinations until I had already had a disappointing experience so I won’t be returning. I had a cheeseburger and added bacon and it was about $ 13 before a drink or any sides. When it came out I had high hopes, but it was essentially an overpriced Big Mac. In a blind taste test I don’t think I could tell the difference from MacDonald’s. The bun was like a basic store bought white bun, nothing special to it. The patty itself was good, but nothing spectacular. The cheese was the deal breaker for me. I don’t even think it was real cheese(I like gourmet cheeses on burgers: feta, blue cheese, Havarti, Swiss); this was like someone peeled the plastic of a Kraft Singles slice and slapped it on. Processed oil, not real cheese. Of course, I’m a bit of a foodie, but my boyfriend is your basic pub-food loving man: burgers, wings, etc. Even HE was disappointed, and he is overly positive about everything. I think I’ll hold off on burgers until June when Relish Edmonton is set to open. Then I can have a real gourmet burger!

The Burger’s Priest made a huge splash when it announced it was coming to Edmonton. It seemed that a lot of people were excited to see this open. I visited it a few weeks after it opened hoping to avoid the crowds of people that wanted to try it out. That didn’t work out for me! I dropped by on a Thursday after lunch hour even and it was still packed. Not a seat left in the house. The line-up wasn’t too long and actually moved pretty quickly. Walking in you immediately get hit with the great smell of fresh beef being cooked. It really reminded me of the smell walking into Fuddruckers when they were still in Edmonton. I had the High Priest Burger(double cheeseburger) and Fries. Cost was about $ 14 without a drink. The burger was nice and juicy and fell apart quite easily because they don’t use any filler and binders. Taste was great! The buns are pretty basic but a step above a typical fast food bun. Toppings seemed nice and fresh. The fries were the big let down for me. they were kind of greasy and I must have drawn the short stick on the fryer because a good majority of my fries were the little end nubs and not nice sized fries. The small fries are just greasier because of their size I imagine. I didn’t have a drink but your options are either 1. their homemade shakes which I heard were awesome or 2. bottled pop, water and juice. Bottom line: I like the place. The burgers were pretty good. Disappointed in the fries but will give them another chance. I need to try the milkshake!

This is probably my new favourite fast food/high end burger place in Edmonton… and that’s saying a lot. Particularly as I’m not religious at all and found their original marketing campaign for this location to be frustrating/annoying, I’m surprised to be giving it this high of a rating, but the food is just plain delicious so I can’t fault them on this too badly. It is not as if they’re shoving religion down my throat or anything — in fact the clean restaurant has some of the most delicious burgers I’ve had in a long time — the meat is made into patties here and the cheese is absolutely so good — I’ve only tried two burgers on the menu but totally look forward to trying more! And even the simple ice cream float and milkshakes are good(I need to have a milkshake next time). But yeah I think my default is going to be a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and occasionally I’ll splurge for the pricier options too. But yeah. Go at non peak times for the least lineups(eg. not during lunch hour or between 5−8pm on weekdays — I’ve had good luck going at 4pm or 4:30pm!). When you pay you’ll get a number. When they call your number, be sure to drop it in the bin they have for numbers and pick up your meal. The seating area is more comfortable on the tall stools as they have back rests to them rather than the backless short stools. I love the fact that the tomatoes taste like tomatoes and not like water. I like the portabello mushroom in the option(and the ooey gooey cheese!). I enjoy the meat patty the most but I’m sure to be trying more items as time goes on because it really is a delicious spot for a burger in downtown Edmonton!

The Burger’s Priest is a burger joint that’s primarily found in the GTA(Greater Toronto Area). It started there, and is quite popular in the East. If you’re feeling adventurous, they have a «secret menu» on their website that contains combinations and variety of burgers. Their largest one is called the ‘The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse’ which comprises of two huge beef patties, two ‘options’ sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. This comes to a whopping ~26 dollars. The burger I got was«The Pope». This is basically a double cheeseburger, with ‘the option’ all in a big bun. So ‘the option’ is their so-called veggie burger. It’s actually just cheese that’s battered and breaded and then deep fried, which is a great addition to any burger. It was a relatively tasty burger, but for 13 dollars, I felt that it was a little bit underwhelming. You place your order, they give you a number, and then exchange that number for your burger when it’s your time. When I was holding the paper bag that held my burger, I felt that it was a pretty small burger so already before eating it I felt a bit disappointed. The burger itself was decent to say the least. It was pretty thick, but nothing special. The cheese patty made a huge difference. It added a lot of flavour, and made it quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, I found myself still relatively hungry after eating it. Jamie got the Vatican City. So this is a double cheeseburger stuffed between two grilled cheese sandwiches. His was not too much more expensive than mine, at 14 – 15 dollars. The grilled cheeses were actually a nice touch to the burger. The buns that are provided in all of the other regular burgers are actually pretty plain. They are thin, and really the only purpose they serve is to hold everything together. They are small and thin, and do not even seem freshly baked or anything at all…
