The Liquor Depot

I’m a fan of this store, but I don’t drink – does that make sense? I came here with a friend, and I found myself fascinated with aesthetics of some of the bottles of alcohol.
This store focuses mostly on wine and spirits. I found some very interesting wine bottles. One red wine was called «Vampire,» but it wasn’t made with blood – at least I hope it wasn’t. A couple other red wines were simply called «House Wine» and «Red Table Wine.» The labels are what drew me in. The labels looked like someone had wrote on them with a black marker and drew a house (for the house wine) and a fork & knife (for the table wine). Another type of wine looked like it had been dug up from under the sea or from an old pirate’s chest. It was covered in a brown sandy substance. I thought the Dan Ackroyd series of wines were fairly cool as well. I also really liked the miniature alcohol bottles. Some of them were so cute, and especially liked the one with a clear blue alcohol inside.
I think if I had a lot of money to throw around, I’d starting buying and collecting some of these bottles. It would be purely for visual appeal though, and I’m not sure if that’s totally lame or not.
