My fiancé and I went to the lunch Buffet today($ 11,99pp) the service was good the place is nice and clean but if your gonna offer a buffet you should probably keep your pizza stocked there were about 8 of us eating the buffet and the resturant let the pizza run out several times and then you would have to wait 15 minutes for them to bring more might want to think this out before offering all you can eat

Rushed visit to Halifax and needed some where quick to eat. Glad our grip stopped here today. The staff was ver friendly and accommodating of our schedule. The waiter put together a special salad for my wife and made sure everything that she chose was lactose free since she is lactose intolerant. Spaghetti sauce was great and many good choices and very reasonable pricing.

The staff here are phenomenal! Ian P. Jay was super friendly and incredibly helpful! The location is wonderful, grab something to go and you can sit in the public gardens to people watch and enjoy your meal in the sun! The buffet offers an incredible variety and the smell of all those yummy choices is intoxicating! Very family friendly! Try the donairs… yum…wear stretchy pants if you are going for the ‘Super’!!!

We took our family here for their breakfast buffet(which is still advertised online at various different websites). We walked up and into the main area and there was absolutely no wait staff around, and no patrons. We looked into the dining area where the buffet is always held and there was nothing in the buffet serving area(this was at 10am). We took our children and left. In the few minutes we were in there, we couldn’t believe there was nobody to greet or to say hello. We could definitely be heard with two small children. This restaurant needs a bell at their main door that will alert them upstairs when patrons are coming. Not a very welcoming/hospitable place.

Well well well. A review of pizza delight. I am not quite sure how to approach this. I will start by saying that about two years ago, my boyfriend and I made the mistake of ordering a pizza via delivery from this particular location. And… it was terrible, absolutely terrible. I was shocked that pizza could be so bad!!! We decided we would never ever ever subject ourselves to Pizza Delight again. Fast forward a year. We are perched atop a bar stool on our favourite summer patio. This little patio just happens to be right across the street from Pizza Delight. We are enjoying ourselves, mocking the patrons the are actually entering this restaurant of their own free will. «Why would they do that?» «There are so many better options» etc etc etc Fast forward again to the next morning. Massive hangover. We now live only a block away from our most hated restaurant of all time. Afternoon approaches and we are peckish to put it mildly. Where can we get mass quantities of food for a decent price, that is close by? Very sheepishly, I say«I think Pizza Delight has a lunch buffet» The rest is history. We have been to the buffet quite a few times, always when we are looking for quantity over quality. It really is not very good, but there is so much food! And you can eat as much of it as you want! The buffet consists of a few varieties of pizza. The BBQ chicken is actually quite tasty. Some cold salads, which I imagine have been scooped out of a container. Soup(probably the pre-packaged variety) And some truly horrible hot pasta concoctions. They also have a salad bar, which I tend to enjoy. I will say that the selection of ingredients as of late has really dwindled. So, it really is what it is. It really is terrible(still) but sometimes that is exactly what I am looking for. Huge quantities of bland, mass produced food that I can gorge myself on. Two minutes after the meal we will agree that we will never do that again, then go home and discuss how truly grossed out we are. Low and behold two months later we have forgotten our vow, have a craving for more food than any human being should eat at one sitting, and make our way down the street to the good old Pizza Delight. Pizza Delight gets 3 stars for being exactly what I need it to be: Its bland gross self. Oh, and the servers. The servers are really friendly. :)

This place is not bad, I was a bit skeptic on going there because come on… Pizza Delight. but yeah I went there for a b-day party. The prices were ok, I started with a salad which kills the star for this review, it’s like Subway Lettuce. You get to toast your own bread and add any additives which is interesting and helps you nibble on something while you wait for your order. Then had a spagetti and lemme tell ya, it had kick to it, the strands were good in texture wise and made me have another plate full, just have a drink nearby. Also if you have information about shot glass combinations they’ll do it for ya, a friend of mine and her friend had a «Brain Hemorrhage» Shot and a Shot that tasted like Apple Pie. Also they were ok for me bringing a birthday cake I made to the get togather, I mean sure we were a party and paid for our meals but they said it was alright by them, and as a treat and part of an extra for their good service, we let them have the rest of my Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cake

I went yesterday with a friend for lunch, and we both had the buffet. For about $ 12 unlimited pizza, pasta, and soup is really amazing. The dessert pizza is to die for, and the garlic fingers are delicious. The staff there are really amazing, whenever I go they’re very polite and courteous to us. I plan on going back a lot to use the buffet card I was given!

Going because we had a BOGO Free coupon from facebook, I didn’t have high hopes. Glad I didn’t. Food is exactly what you would expect, bland, no special ingredients. We had the buffet. Pizza was good, lot of choice and the garlic fingers were great. Everything else was soooo terrible. The dessert was pudding cups, gross. The dessert pizza was ok, but just that. The salad station was super sad. Simulated bacon bits, terrible croutons. The Caesar salad was gross. The soups were water down. The pasta was plan and flavourless– very microwaved feeling. Although the drinks are cheap– they are nothing special. Service was nice and friendly and the restaurant is spacious. Don’t think I will be going back

«So I just had the breakfast buffet at Pizza Delight» ranks high up there with the phrases you probably don’t expect yourself to say, but you should give it a try. I’ve seen the newest Pizza Delight pimping their various deals from the breakfast buffet($ 9.99, all you can eat), all adult drinks being $ 4, and others, and wanted to give them a try. I mean come on, all you can eat breakfast foods? Hells yes. I went with a buddy of mine and we got there around 9:30 on a Friday, so I wasn’t expecting a big crowd, but when we got in there was no one else there, and there actually wasn’t anything on the buffet at this point. That’s alright though, as I’d rather wait for a few minutes while food grills rather than have had food that was sitting in the steam trays for science even knows how long. When the food was ready, it came out in spades, even for two guys with big appetites. My first plate consisted of home fries, sausage and scrambled eggs. I’m basically under the assumption that unless you really screw them up, home fries are a safe bet. They’re probably from frozen as they taste the same as at many breakfast joints, but they’re flavourful and crispy, so little potato packages of win. The sausages were also pretty generic, but breakfast sausages are my favourite breakfast meat and they did a great job at cooking these. Since they weren’t piled up at the back of a grill to keep warm, they were perfectly browned and not leathery like many a poor breakfast sausage has been. It seems like they put mozzarella in their scrambled eggs, and while I’m fairly indifferent to this addition, I’m sure there’s many a person out there who would be a fan. Plate number two consisted of more eggs, grilled ham and bacon. The bacon was crispy as all bacon should be and the other artery cloggers were in order as well. For dessert(they have that at breakfast, right?) I had a slice of a blueberry danish-ish dish which was basically blueberry filling and icing on a thin crust. It wasn’t mind blowing, but it was agreeable. Th restaurant as a whole definitely seems to be a branding re-positioning for Pizza Delight as they have likely been losing market share to Boston Pizza. The restaurant is much more modern than I remember any Pizza Delight ever being with nice black booths and warm wood and browns, several flat screen TVs and of course the price point deals to real in people to reacquaint them with the brand. All in all my breakfast experience was solid and if you know me, I am always up for trying something new, especially if it involves a deal, so I will be back to see what PD has to offer at other times of day.

Well here’s something I never thought I’d say: This is a review of the bar at Pizza Delight. The word on the street is that Pizza Delight has $ 4 drinks.(Literally… they have a sign on the street advertising this.) Well, that’s a price point that’s palatable to me, so we went in the other night for a few beverages. Given that Pizza Delight isn’t exactly what springs to mind when you think of a drinking establishment, I wasn’t expecting anything too spectacular. And I got pretty much what I expected. They have a decent drink menu which includes beer, wine, and hard liquor. $ 4 for a pint is a steal of a deal, and it’s even better when that deal is not limited to a 2 hour window. The servers in the bar area are also the bartenders for the entire restaurant, so while the service wasn’t phenomenal, it definitely wasn’t bad and our server was very pleasant. I wouldn’t say there’s much of an ambience, but for a group of friends out for a few drinks, it will certainly do the trick.

So, here’s the thing — I try to avoid eating at chain restaurants when I can. But on a holiday, a bit later in the evening and craving greasy, delicious pizza this ended up being a great option. I ordered a build-your-own pizza with donair sauce, donair meat and onions. It was tasty and just what I was craving, so I was glad I didn’t go for their typical donair or the much larger donair panzerotti. I had pretty low expectations for this place, and it met them. The quality and service was just so-so. They serve $ 4 drinks so I can see myself going back sometime for pizza and drinks, but not frequently.

I hate my first review to be a bad one, but that’s the best way to put my first experience at Pizza Delight on Spring Garden. We arrived a party of 5 around 4pm for there all day, $ 11.99 buffet. The buffet offers a few variety of pizzas(maybe 5), two soups, a few premade salads, a few pasta entrees and a grill your own bread bar. However, not one were the entrees restocked, and salads were often left empty. The pizza came out every 10 or so minutes, however if you did not get there immediately you were out of luck. They have a sign stating you must use a new plate every time you revisit the buffet, however, we waited at least 10 minutes for new plates to become available. Although the $ 4 drinks are a nice touch, waters were never filled up and we were never asked how the food was. The place seemed extremely understaffed, both in the front of the house with two servers and one manager, and what seemed to be a one man show in the back. Overall, unless I’m ravenous on my 5am walk home up Spring Garden, I won’t return.

Today, my fiancé and I went to the Spring Garden Road Location. We went during the supper buffet timings, and opted to sample the buffet. I must say that I am quite underwhelmed. Firstly, the selection is really not that great. I realize that you have limited space, however I feel the selection could be more varied. The potato salad and coleslaw were clearly not made in house and came out of a bucket. They lacked flavour and left a lot to be desired. The romaine in the Caesar salad had not been properly dried. Due to that fact, the dressing did not adhere properly to the romaine and left you wanting more of it. Also, the fact that you are using fake bacon bits in this location is ridiculous. Now, the hot options. Well, my first MAJOR concern is that they were not actually hot in the least. They were luke warm at best, and that is a huge concern for me. I am fairly confident that these foods on the steam table were in the danger zone. This has the potential to present a huge issue, as it would allow for exponential bacterial growth if introduced. That in turn could make someone sick, and as a professional chef I do not take that lightly. The soups were a disaster: the minestrone was not seasoned properly. If it had been and had actually been hot it may have been decent. However, the cream of broccoli was an execution fail. It was thin, luke warm at best, not seasoned and lacking both adequate cream and broccoli. There was chicken fettuccine Alfredo as well, that was so dry it was just an embarrassment. Also, the fettuccine in the pan had been on the steam line for so long: it was actually rubbery. Sad. Also, there was a stir fry mixture that was over cooked mush. The hot line had lasagna on there, which was passable but again not hot enough. Also, our server was not the best. We had better service from the general manager that was floating around the restaurant. One thing that I did find unacceptable, was that when I told the GM about the broccoli soup: her response was«oh really, I have never tried that soup before». She did however offer to get me hot soup, which our server did not. When I alerted our server, she said it would be fixed and it was not. The soup was not changed, nor was it changed after the GM was made aware. In any case, I am not confident that we would visit this location again. If we do, we would not have the buffet and will be recommending others refrain from the buffet too.

Went to Pizza Delight with the work crowd and was pleasantly surprised with the newly renovated space. We had the lunch buffet — not my first choice but the selection was impressive for $ 11.99. The $ 4 drinks(beer and wine) will be a draw in the warmer summer months for sure, especially given the patio seating overlooking Spring Garden road. Recommended for anyone looking for comfort food or a few drinks on a sunny summer patio.

The food at Pizza Delight may well be the closest thing we have to a regional Maritime cuisine. So I was happy to see a PD opening on Spring Garden. Nothing like having comfort food located close your house. Tonight my kids and I went to this pizza mecca. Located on the second storey in the old Mexi’s space, the space has been completely renovated and has a nice, comfortable feel. There is a nice looking bar in the front room and the good old buffet bar in the back room. Part of the Pizza Delight charm is its non-gouging prices. I had the all-you-can-eat buffet for $ 14.99. It had lots of nice, hot dishes – six kinds of pizza, some sketchy looking soups, hot pastas, garlic fingers complete with sauce, an okay fresh vegetables salad bar and some strange looking pizza-like desserts. That’s a great deal especially when you combine it with the grilled bread bar. Let me say that I think the bread bar grill is fine in concept, but I am slightly freaked out by the bags of bread and the even sketchier buckets of spread(all those hands touching everything), but hey, it’s cheap entertainment and I carry hand sanitizer with me. My kids loved it. And if you love carbs, you’ll love it too. That being said, the bread was fresh and you can really stretch your meal if you want to. My kids had standard kids meals. Chicken dinos with fries and Kraft Dinner. Portion sizes were generous and the meals came with a drink and dessert for $ 6. Another great deal. And kids get to pick a toy from the treasure chest which contained above average kids trinkets. Overall, I give the place 4 stars. Fresh, hot food in a nice clean environment. But the service was on the sucky three star side. There seemed to be a lot of wait staff standing around and not a lot of attention being paid to the customers in the half-full dining room. In fact, I went to find my server to move things along and didn’t even recognize her. Yes, it is a buffet, but that doesn’t mean a customer wouldn’t want some attention from time to time. I know it’s early days, but a little more effort would make a better impression. So, I think this place tonight was really 3.5 stars, but because I can’t give that, I’ll give 4 hoping for improvement in service. We’ll see on the next visit.
