Been to this place a few times now, the food is usually okay. I find the quality fluctuating every time I try this place. Sadly my most recent visit, wasn’t my best one. The service was slow, had to wait for almost 20 minutes to get our waiter’s attention to ask for our bills. The salmon didn’t taste very fresh either.

Beef tataki and spicy shrimp are amazing on the dinner menu. I like dessert here so much, especially Tiramisu. No rolling eyes, no grumpy, everything is so good! just one more tip, I figured out that different servers take charge of different section, and all the servers are so busy in their own section. U need to know who is your server when u dine in

Good and quick service! A variety of options were available from sushi rolls to soups. I feel the only downfall is that debit or credit is not offered. No signs or window decals state that they only take cash. But that’s alright, they’ve got a third party ATM located by the front entrance that, of course, hits you with a service charge. Please be clear on payment methods beforehand.

I like Sapporo just fine. In a sea of AYCE sushi places in Hamilton it doesn’t stand out but there4’s certainly nothing bad ton say. 3 stars is warranted only due to the parking situation being absolutely atrocious.

iPad ordering system. Convenient location. Standard price set with a variety of food options. All raw fish are fresh.

Ordered from this place in the past and it was decent. Last time we ordered Thai. It was gross. The green curry tasted like chicken stock and corn syrup. We just threw it in the garbage. Not sure if they have a new owner or something. You can get batter sushi at nations for pick up.

Probably the worst ayce sushi place I went to. I have tried over 15 different ayce places and this hands down is the worst. The quality of the place has went downhill dramatically. The salmon sashimi was frozen when I bit into them. Food was so bland and nothing was good. The chicken wings was probably the best thing I had there. The place is full of university students and that’s prob why the quality of the food is so bad. Save yourself a disappointment and stay away from there if you want actual decent sushi.

The food is always amazing when I come here. The beef is tender, the ribs have a lot of meat on them. The Satays are my favorite as well as the crab and spinach soup. Tiramisu is pretty good too. It’s pretty hard to find parking but they will give you a parking pass to park in the back where you have to pay. I love the iPad ordering system. Never disappointed and I will be coming back!

Almost as good as August 8. Definitely has the best ice cream in town for a sushi place.

I was dining alone. I felt rushed and the service was REALLYSLOW. I had arrived wearing clean clothes and I was clean shaven. The server was more interested in the table of four suit & tie yuppies. she was laughing and smiling with them. But rude to me. Before I could speak she rudely said«only dinner ayce now! « I was hungry so I made the mistake of staying and ordering. They messed up every plate and did not bring me the last 3 items or my dessert. ZERO stars.

Sapporos is the only all you can eat Japanese restaurant I frequent for both dine in and take out. Although some people may find when a waiter frequents the table; an annoyance; I, on the other hand, enjoy it. They’ve never messed up my order and the food has always been consistent and delicious. I always recommend sapporos to others.

I came in for all you can eat lunch and it did not disappoint. The iPad ordering system was pretty neat and the other reviewer(s) that said it was confusing are just dumb because it’s simple. And since it was my first time the waitress walked me through how to use it and confirm orders without any issues. My only issue was they used a lot more filler ingredients to the rolls and understand it’s because it’s all you can eat but it takes away from other sushi flavor when you cheat. However the taste was excellent and if you just keep ordering then you fill up, it just seems like you’re eating more. The best and biggest sushi item was the Salmon Rose. It had the most amount of fish and tasted amazing. You must try a few of these(or 4 like me) when you go!

Tasty, fast, fresh and affordable. This is my go to Japanese restaurant in Hamilton. Lot of praise. Especially myself being vegetarian, there are lots of options. Sometimes food gets mixed up between tables but given the chaos. I think it’s a bit understandable. We come here at least once a month.

Amazing food ! Ordering food is easy on I pad, but remember what you ordered. It gets sent to the wrong table sometimes and you’ll be waiting for ever. All you eat is good and competitive pricing. Small cups of water and they don’t always fill up, you’ll be left thirsty. Parking is always packed. But so far the best sushi I’ve had. We go every Wednesday at 3pm for the lunch menu

My favorite sushi place in Hamilton! The iPad ordering system is ideal so you can see a full visual and description of the food you’re ordering. It is also categorized phenomenally. The parking situation is always a tad hectic. You need to walk back to your car to put your parking pass on your dashboard(free), not a big deal at all. Just chilly in the winter months. The staff is always very friendly and courtuous but sometimes surprised why you ask them personally for items(drinks, cutlery, ext) because everything is ordered via iPad. Also not a big deal. All in all its a great dining expierence, especially for newcomers to sushi. Enjoy!

This place has gone drastically downhill in the past couple of years. The new iPad ordering system is horrible and unreliable. There’s constant confusion about which orders have gone in, which orders are pending, if something is actually coming, etc. Several of the items we ordered never came at all and our servers acted annoyed when we asked them anything because they seemed to think that all of our interaction should be with the iPad. Food quality has gone downhill as well, sushi pieces and rolls were falling apart, many of the pieces that should not have been chewy were very chewy, and some of the tempura was very undercooked. I was also served tea(which now costs extra) that was lukewarm at best. With all the all-you-can-eat sushi options popping up in Hamilton I see absolutely no reason to return to Sapporo, and I won’t.

I came here a few days ago with a group of friends and I thought it was spectacular. We had just come from Pier 8, starving and gotten a table for 10AYCE lickity-split. The food came out really quickly and the servers were all extremely nice. I kept on ordering plate after plate of deep fried bananas(I love deep fried bananas) and they didn’t even bat an eye. The price was fair for all you can eat sushi, and the food was good quality(visually and taste wise). The fact that we went on a Monday might’ve added to the great service and good quality food as they weren’t swamped.

This place is to die for. The food is always hot, fresh and the best quality. Highly recommend this restaurant. I only have two complaints would loved to of taken my leftovers home and they don’t allow this here(understandably, because it is all you can eat for a price However if I’ve paid $ 35 to eat there and there is only a few scrap’s left they should allow customers to take this home). Also this place is so good there is lineup’s and wait times so it would be nice to see the business grow in size or move to accommodate the customers. Staff always attentive and friendly.

Went here based on a friend’s recommendation. We were greeted very cordially and welcoming by hostess. Our waiter was also very polite and friendly. The people who brought us our food, not so much. We didn’t go with the all-you-can-eat and instead ordered a la carte. The prices seemed cheap, but you kind of get what you pay for. The sushi rolls had such a thin layer of rice on them! The flavor was OK, but nothing that I’d go out of my way for. The atmosphere of the restaurant was horrible! It was modern and all, but it was noisy as heck and you could hardly hear the pop radio station in the background. Shouldn’t a Japanese restaurant play Japanese pop, or something? I don’t like hearing«Cool Kids» at anytime, much less so when I’m eating Japanese food! People think the tablet ordering system is so cool, and yeah, I could see the advantage of being able to see all the photos… but the photos lacked descriptions. The ordering system didn’t allow you to make changes at all to any dish. For example, my bento box came with salmon sashimi, and it took forever for me to find out if I could change that to tuna sashimi! In the end, nobody could give me an answer, so I told them to forget it, if you’re interested to know. Lastly, I took one of the hard candies at the front counter and it cut my tongue! WTF!!!

This is a mediocre sushi restaurant. Parking can be quite a pain depending on the time of day you go. The space inside is fairly small but is just enough that it does not feel crowded. The food is pretty good, I have no complaints. The service was average, nothing exceptional. Overall, I would recommend this location to a friend.
