After the torrential rain today it was so refreshing to go to town for dinner and to sit on the patio. It was our first visit to Café Wilgress, but will definitely not be our last. The specials tonight were Snapper, Duck and Lamb. I chose the lamb. I am from Ireland so appreciate lamb perfectly cooked, which this was. It was well seasoned and was served with heirloom carrots and lightly pan fried potatoes. It was not a heavy meal and was well accompanied by a large glass of red wine. My partner had the daily pasta which was spaghetti with pancetta, chick peas and cheese. It was tasty but so-so. We did not have dessert or coffee. The patio overlooked the main street with the boats on the river and traffic but a great place for people watching. It is not wheelchair accessible but we will return again and again.
