This is a great little place. Me and my fiancé came here for Valentine’s Day and it was a lovely treat after an evening of skating at Arrowhead Provincial Park. The restaurant is small, and not normally open on Sunday’s, but due to the occasion they were. We stopped in at 7pm, and there was a line of about 4 tables ahead of us, we got seated close to 7:30, and were eating by 8. This was on You Gotta Eat Here, so naturally being in town, I insisted on going. Boy was I glad. The portions are delicious and plentiful. It reminds me of a small mom and pop shop. I got the spaghetti friulana(spaghetti, pancetta, kale and onions) and my fiancé got the linguine Alfredo with mushrooms. Plates came out hot, food came out good. The only reason this restaurant lost a star was because of the seating situation. When we first arrived, we had no idea how many tables were waiting ahead of us, how long the wait would be, and no number or names were written down. One table in front of us walked out because they kept asking the gentleman how long it would be and he would not answer. I found that kind of odd, and had there been more tables waiting, would have been frustrating keeping track who was next. Overall, great experience — they can easily accommodate a family of 4, anything greater, you’re in for a short wait.

You have to try the gnocchi here they are like tiny clouds of fluffy goodness covered in a delicious creamy sauce. Our server was the son of the wonderful chef and was friendly, funny and delightful. Next time I am in Huntsville I will come back to eat here in a heartbeat. As the TV show that filmed here says, You Gotta Eat Here!

Really nice family run Italian style restaurant. They were on the tv show«You Gotta Eat Here» twice! They make almost everything from scratch in the store. Definitely one of the best local restaurant. The staff are very nice as well.

We came in around 6pm on a Saturday night and it was packed. There aren’t many tables, maybe 10, and the line was out the door. We put our name on the waiting list and were seated about 40 minutes later. A bit grumpy from the wait, I was ready to find something wrong with the food. I could not. Wow! From start to finish… Amazing. Some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. The house bread is delicious, the speck wrapped cheese appetizer is outstanding, and the linguine with alfredo, mushrooms, and chicken(which I added) was superb. And the gelato… Yum! I had the Rocher,(as in Ferrero) and it was bliss. The only thing I would have liked to see is a pepper grinder for fresh cracked pepper. That’s a small detail, though, and honestly didn’t impact my meal much. Definitely worth the wait!

We had lunch here two days in a row! The spaghetti, calzone, pizza, and meatball panino were all excellent! The staff are friendly and fast! If you want to eat dinner here, make reservations in advance! You won’t be disappointed! Yummmm!

Really good. We had the pizza and the Spaghetti and meatballs. Took 15 minutes on the dot which they mentioned so it isn’t fast food. It’s good food.

Great little family own restaurant. Spaghetti was phenomenal and the meatballs were to die for. Make sure you ask how spicy some of the items are. Certain ones come with Red Pepper flakes on them and will catch you by surprise. When done, it’s a must to have some of the homemade Gelato. Great Italian restaurant in Hartsville

Good pasta. Was worth the trek into Huntsville. We ordered the linguini Alfredo, the primavera pizza. Scrumptious. Wait time for a table was extensive due to its popularity. Come at off hours if waiting is not your thing.

Food was 4 stars but service was 1, so this is an overall 2.5 star review(rounded up to 3 for Unilocal purposes). So, for starters, we had the most confusingly passively aggressive server of all time. She started out as straight up aggressive, chewing out my husband for trying to get a table(!!!), and then mellowed out to passive aggressive. The other staff were also stand-offish and cold, so don’t expect to feel welcome. The food was fantastic though. Totally delicious pizza and lasagna. The pizza could have used a bit more sauce, but proportions were otherwise perfect. We haven’t decided whether we will be back or not, but we may give the service a second chance since the food was so good. I’m craving that pizza!

The rudest staff I have ever encountered! Trying to get a table for 8 was rejected with such a condescending and vile response my family was shocked. I would never set foot in that place again!!!

We were there at lunch; it was very crowded and loud, and the atmosphere in general leaves a lot to be desired. After being pleasantly surprised by the reasonableness of the price for sandwiches, we came to discover that they were cheap because they come with absolutely nothing! My turkey sandwich was lonely on a huge plate, cold and with nothing other than dry bread and generic deli meat. Not impressed.

Cute family owned place. Expect to wait in line, particularly because it is one of only a few restaurants in the area it seems. My colleague and I came here and had to be out at a certain time. We asked if the waiter thought we would be okay, and we weren’t impressed with how rude he was, not seeming to give a crap whether we stayed or left. In fact, it seemed more like he WANTED us to leave. He told us that everybody had just ordered, though we could see some tables appearing to be finishing up. We ended up seeing two people leave at the bar by the window and sat there. The prices were a bit high for the quality of food. I had a Caprese salad to start which was way over dressed. The pasta and complimentary bread were both good, but pretty average in my opinion. The portions were quite big, but I prefer quality over quantity at that price. They had desserts and home-made pastas to take home and cook yourself which is always a treat. Again, a bit pricey though.

Had high expectations based in reviews, was disappointed. Food was not bad but not great either. Lasagna was okay, not good enough though based on the price and expectations. Pizza was undercooked and ordinary at best, sauce was sub par. The tomato sauce wasn’t great, which is key to great Italian food. The espresso was very good. All in all, good Italian food option for Huntsville — doesn’t measure up to similarly priced Italian in Toronto, not even close.

Went to eat here while killing time before a wedding. Really cute place. Good grilled cheese, ketchup came in packets rather than a bottle, but whatever. Staff was a little stand-offish, but the grilled cheese and a cup of chocolate milk came to 8 $, so, it was a successful lunch.

The food was great here. I had the seafood pasta. There was a generous portion of shrimp and mussels. I also tried a taste of the penne pesto, which was delicious. The pepperoni pizza was also great, very thin crust and nice European quality pepperoni. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but can’t because the service was lacking. We sat for 10 minutes before anyone came over to even acknowledge us. The staff was chatting with each other and setting up reserve tables. We were all thirsty and hungry but were completely ignored. We almost left before ordering, but I’m glad we didn’t.

If the food was excellent with a nice variety of Italian dishes for such a small place, we had an awful evening. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, near the washrooms and stuck between three walls. The waitress was very impolite and had sneaky comments, thinking that our English was just too bad for us to understand that she was making fun of us. We were served quickly but we left without any dessert, shocked by her behavior ! I really do not recommend, except if you like to be taken down by a waitress.

Pasta — stellar. Homemade soup of the day was kale and meatballs, which was delicious, but a bit on the oily side. Seating is spacious and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable considering the area and other dining options in its vicinity. A reliable stop when passing through the area!
