Had a nice lunch with friends here. Comfy booths and nice décor. I had the enzo pizza which came in thin crust and just the right amount of sauce(some people would find this too salty). The server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu & gluten free options. All in all, we all enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to trying some of their other dishes.

Had dinner with a group of parents and kids; in town for two Provincial minor hockey games. Food was good, good portions, very fresh and authentic menu. A little on the pricy side, but they do deliver value. This was our second time in two years and were not disappointed.

Went here hoping that it would be great. There iare so few good places to eat in the area. It was okay, just okay. Service was okay, food okay. The atmosphere is very cool and it could be the place to be if they up the service and food quality. Mediocre food that you can get at any mid-range italian joint. Nothing new and standout to offer. Sad, because with the right folks in the driving seat it could be great. If you want generic italian food, go here. Won’t be back.

One of the best Pizza’s I’ve ever had! Great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. The pizza is cooked in a fire oven and is a thin crust. I’ve had 3 different pizzas from them and they are all great!

This was my first time eating at their new location in the same strip mall. I really like the new two floor set-up compared to the way it used to be. Fairly open concept but still cozy at the same time. The food was just as good as what I remember from the past. I had the Penne Pasquale which has grilled chicken, roasted red peppers and a rose sauce. It was a large portion(but not too big) with lots of flavor. I forgot to drink most of my beer until after my meal as I was enjoying the penne so much. The service was prompt and polite and it made for a pleasant evening meal. I will definitely be returning again and recommending Fratelli to friends.

My three sisters and I joined my Mum for a meal here. It was our first visit.(I had been to another location that was briefly in Barrhaven some years ago and found the food of poor quality and flavour.) My sister chose the restaurant assuming that I(as a vegan) could eat there. In actual fact, there was little I could choose from. I had the butternut squash soup which was not hot when it arrived although my mother had the minestrone which burned her mouth. I found the soup very sweet and over spiced which spoiled the taste a little; a shame as it’s a favorite of mine. Next, I had the whole grain penne with pesto, chick peas and sun dried tomatoes but without the cheese. This was $ 17.50. It was the right temperature and an expected portion size but it was floating in oil. I had to shake off every piece of pasta. It is a little surprising to me that this is billed as a Tony Greco recommended healthier dish! Meanwhile, my sister had the same dish with the cheese and had the same criticism. She couldn’t eat half of it. Another sister had a linguini special with chicken. She said it was bland and over priced at $ 19. She ate the veggies and chicken and left her pasta. My mother’s veal and vegetables arrived and she had to ask them to warm the meal up, which they gladly did but she said she found the meal tasteless(and she lives in a retirement residence where she is used to tasteless food so this was a shame). To be honest, I’m not sure what my other sister had; I just know she ate it because it was expensive. She said she didn’t enjoy it and she has been married to an Italian for years and is thus, very familiar with Italian food. We had no desserts but enjoyed some nice tea and coffee. I drank only water, ate the soup and pasta and had a mint tea, yet with tax my meal was almost $ 34. The service was fine. The waiter was very pleasant but this is the second(and last time) I will step foot in a Fratellis. I find the food mediocre to poor and very over priced. I’m the only vegan in the family and it is not really a vegan friendly restaurant. I would not recommend Fratellis to anyone. I think it is a well known and often advertised restaurant with a lovely ambiance but the food is terrible and overpriced. My sisters and I only get together a couple times a year with my Mother as we live all over the place and frankly, it ruined our night out. Too bad.

I’ve been a customer here for years. I keep going back and can’t stay away! The service is always friendly — they recognize us every time we go in. The food is always hot and delicious. I order a dish that is no longer on the menu, but they always accommodate me. There was one time that my friend ordered the lasagna(which is to die for) and it was a little too well done — but they re-fired the dish and gave us a dessert on the house. The Nutella cake is worth a try! For an app, try the parm rosemary fries — comes with a truffle dipping sauce. My fav!

On our recent visit to the capital of Canada, our friends took us to dinner to Fratelli. It’s near their house and it has a gluten free pasta which is critical for one of our friends. There were six in our party(four adults, two children). They seated us quickly despite we had canceled our reservations a half hour before. Our waitress was really nice and made sure that we got bread quickly for the two kids at the table. She took our orders quickly and left us to our own devices. It did take awhile to get our main courses but it was a busy night. My husband got a caprese salad that he liked and I got an antipasto salad with pickled veg, cheese and meat with lettuce and the house dressing. Both of us enjoyed our salads. We ordered for mains a gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce for my husband(pretty good), meat filled cannoloni(a bit bland and the sauce tasted vaguely canned even if it wasn’t) for me and a four cheese mac and cheese for our son. It was my fault for not asking what four cheese were in the mac and cheese since it is NOT listed on the menu but when it arrived, it had gorgonzola in it. Our three year old took a lick and immediately said«EWWW!» I had a couple of bites and though an interesting thing to put in gorgonzola, it overwhelmed the pasta to me. What was the best thing? The chocolate terrine. The triangle chocolate mousse encased in white chocolate was sinfully rich splayed over a sharp and sweet raspberry sauce was really amazing. My friend said that she had sent her husband to Fratelli solely for the chocolate terrine some nights when she was having intense cravings. Fratelli is okay. I’m not saying avoid it. Just don’t go in with big expectations.
