The service was great and we enjoyed our experience! Beer was good, food was good

Friendly bar service on an absolutely dead Monday night. They had the lights up as though it was cleaning time; a bit like having a brew in an aircraft hanger. Huge space. Taps focus on their own brews(no surprise). Central Bier House across the parking lot has more variety if you’re with a big group of friends with varying tastes.

Went here to meet former work colleagues– great to see old coworkers and friends. I had the Dark IPA– just the right amount of bitter and hops– the beer the only reason for getting even 1 star. I made the mistake of ordering the California Chicken sandwich– it was cold, rubbery and«wetted» by something claiming to be chipotle sauce. Had the server ever bothered to ask how the meal was– I would have sent it back… but alas she never did. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area– pick another…

Way overpriced for what you get. The food was alright, but just alright — no great, not horrible. The outside seating is nice but the music is way too loud and the service is a bit slow even when the crowd was slow. If they dropped the prices 50% I’d give it 4 or 5 stars and it’d be a great place to get a burger, fries and a beer.

Excellent service. Our server,(Sarah?) was friendly, enthusiastic but not pushy or annoying. And the food was excellent. We both got burgers and sweet potato fries. Best burgers we’ve had in years. Interesting garnish combos, juicy, properly cooked meat and just damned good. We will definitely be back.

It has been a couple of years since my last review at this location. Dropped by on a Sunday evening for a bite to eat. Since it being a Sunday evening, the restaurant was not that busy. 2 other tables occupied and a couple of people at the bar. First thing I noticed was my seat had a lot of wear and tear and was sticky. Place still has that rustic charm though. Also, hate how the bathrooms are upstairs.(I will usually skip using the bathroom here because I am lazy, although they have one handicap restroom by the bar). Our server was to the point, not very interactive and we had to wait a long time for our bill at the end of our meal. Not a great end to our meal, especially having our dirty plates pilled up. Food was meh. Ordered the nachos which were average. Cheese was melted on top, but still cold in the middle. I do love how they add plenty of olives and green onions on the nachos. Tried the provencale pizza again. They no longer add the pesto sauce on top of the pizza. Tried the ginger beer; as a non beer drinker it was A-OK! Honestly, the food really did not stick out during this visit. I see no reason to go back anytime soon.

I have enjoyed meals here, nice atmosphere, close to theatre, etc. On our last visit, however, the fish and chips consisted of a half-piece of mushy greasy fish and a plate full of previously frozen fries. It wasn’t long ago that you got a full piece of fish, it might have been fresh even, but now it has shrunk, and been frozen until the texture has disappeared. It’s just not value anymore. Something seems to have changed.

I’m currently sitting at the bar of 3 brewers Kanata for my first & last visit. The highlight has been the free Wi-Fi. The service at the bar is terrible, unless I magically turned invisible without knowing it. I had to flag the bartender down to order even though she’s standing a couple feet away from me on top of that there are many bartenders ignoring me. Note: I’m the only one sitting at this side of the bar The shrimp & sausage penne was mediocre. The tails of the shrimp weren’t removed, which makes it annoying at best because they are buried in tomato sauce. I had to pick them out and remove them as I ate. Lastly the beer. It sucks. The Amber has a bitter after taste and the Brown does as well. The Brown tastes like the Amber but with a touch of food coloring to darken it. And now that I’m done right this I have to flag down the bartender again for the check. Very glad the company is paying for this and I’m not wasting my money

IPA was very good and bitter as it is 6% alcohol with a distinct bitter style citrus and spruce. Milan Flam(Homemade Flammekueches, which is kind of flat bread pizza) was very nice and spicy as with spicy sausage and red peppers kalamata olives, hot banana peppers, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Beer braised pork shank was huge and juicy with roasted vegetables, but a little bit heavy without pickles or salad. Server Kaytleen was very nice young lady and professional. Highly recommended for beer lovers and light dinner takers.

The beer is good. The service is okay for Canada I had the grilled chicken breast. It was good but not very exciting. The vegetables seemed like they came from a bag. Overall not a culinary surprise, but I didn’t expect it to be. While uninspiring it was good for a chain brewery. The price is in line with what it provides

This was my first, and most likely last visit. We went here as my spouse is a beer lover, and wanted to try something new. Everything was great until we sat down. Our server asked us immediately what kind of beer we wanted to drink. I explained to her that despite how good their beer looked, I could not personally drink it because of a wheat allergy, and asked to see the wine menu. Guess what… they don’t have one. They offer 1 wine. Yes. 1. Wine. And… not a good one. No points… I ordered a water, while hubby ordered a raspberry beer. Looking over the menu, there was only one gluten free option. I had the Penne Portebello dish, and hubby had the Napoleon. One word for both dishes. BLAND. I could have made my dish better at home, and without the three pieces of hard, uncooked pasta. There was no flavour to the portobello sauce at all, and when I showed the dish to the waitress(over the pasta) — nothing was done about it. She said she had casually showed one of the line cooks, and they said nothing. Minus 5 points. The Napoleon reared no evidence of the egg plant(as listed on the menu). The bun was stale, and the sandwich extremely dry — so said the spouse. My overall experience here was awful. The only nice thing about it was the décor. Service was bad, the food awful. I guess your going to have to be drunk to enjoy the food???

I’m torn, I had a great experience here with my wife, but I felt there were some things missing. The waitress was friendly and helpful, and the prices were within reason, I felt it failed in its atmosphere and ambiance. For a place selling itself as a micro-brewery, there was only one kettle on site for brewing. Which means what they have on tap might be brewed by them, but it wasn’t brewed on site like at BDT or other micro-breweries around the city. It also felt like it has an identify crisis, the main floor feels more like a night club then a pub. We enjoyed our meal and had a great meal there, just not sure it stands out compared to other places in the area.

I was at this place tonight after hearing about it and seeing their stores all over the Greater Montréal Area. Let’s just say that I never thought I would say D’Arcy McGee’s is maybe not that bad after all. The beer(I had the brown) was not that bad, but nothing to write home about either; the onion rings were obviously frozen(the thicker pieces were watery); the flammeküche(I had the Brasseur special) tasted like a giant saltine cracker with store bought pregrated«Swiss» cheese, frozen onions and chunks of stale bacon aggregate from a slab that would have passed through a dirty meatgrinder; the dessert, the Liège waffle, was the only remotely eddible part of the meal as it was crispy and warm. I won’t go back. And I suggest you never go.

3.5 stars but rounding down. We came in at 8pm on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant was busy at the time, but they still had some tables open so we were seated right away. I liked that they had different specials during the weekdays, especially the Whiskey Wednesday special, which is a great deal for some good whiskey! I also liked that they had a good variety of beers on draft to choose from, and that they brew their own beers. Our server was really nice and patient when I asked to taste a few of the beers first. However, the food that I had was just ok. We tried the regular poutine, which was not authentic(according to my French Canadian colleague), but the fries were crispy and the cheese was cheesy. I had the 1 piece fish and chips, and the piece of fish was gigantic! I liked that the fish was cooked well, and the tartar sauce was good also. I tried some of my coworkers pizza-like dish, and that was actually pretty good– the crush was nice and thin, and the toppings were a good combination. Overall, The 3 Brewers wouldn’t be my first choice for a nice dinner, but it’s a solid place to grab some beers, watch some sports on TV, and have some good pub style food. Service is also pretty good here. Parking is fairly easy during the weekday nights since the lots are huge, but you just have to find the one that is closest to here.

I wanted to love this place. I really did. I tried so hard to love this place but they started out with a rule that annoyed me and then the food was good(but not great). When I go to a new brewpub I go for their tasters glasses so I can try out their beers. Usually you can choose the beers you want but at 3 Brewers you can’t choose. You can 4 beers or 5 beers to try, but you can’t choose which ones you want. Its not a big deal, but on you first visit, it left me kinda pissed off. Not what you want someone’s first visit to be like. I had the poutine burger, which was ok. I was very impressed with the IPA. Now I will be back. It is right next to the theatre and the beer is good. Maybe things will get better.

I have been to multiple locations of le Trois Brasseurs/3 brewers in both Montréal and Ottawa. Tonight, I found myself at a Xmas Party at the new Kanata location. The menu for this evenings event was limited; offering only a pizza, a burger or a salad. I chose the salad and my partner in crime had the burger. What wasn’t limited in this evenings festivities was the sangria. If you enjoy sangria, the 3B’s makes a sangria worth talking about(at least the ones that I’ve had made for me). I have tried both the red and the white, but prefer the red sangria hands down. Now back to the food… I wish I knew what the salad was called, it had mixed greens, chicken, black beans, very few veggies, fried tortilla chips and a lemony dressing which came on the side. As a person who loves salad, I was disappointed with the lack of «stuff» in this salad, it was primarily lettuce, chicken, and tortilla chips which doesn’t equate to a salad in my books. The burger looked good, but I was told it was nothing special by all the gentlemen at my table. I had a few French fries which were delicious! If I ever went through a break-up, I’m pretty certain their fries would sustain my life until my tears dried up, they were that good. On my other visits to 3B’s I got the sausage and sauerkraut plate. It’s by far my favourite thing and when I do find one of these restaurants I often can’t be persuaded to get anything else.

To be perfectly honest, I had heard horrible things about The Three Brewers’ newest location in Kanata Centrum. I had never been to any other locations before and was anxious to try this one as it is much closer to my home. However, the bad reviews from friends and co-workers put me off. We ended up being forced into trying it for a family member’s surprise birthday bash — can’t say no right? We arrived to a packed house, packed mansion more like… the place is huge! Scary big! It caused me concern about the quality of the food and service right away. Plus it was a Friday night, hockey game in town… crazy busy. However we were seated at the reserved-for-the-party table upstairs in a slightly removed location that allowed us to talk to one another while still feeling the atmosphere of this bustling joint. While it was a fun night, with a great atmosphere, great décor the food did leave something to be desired. Due to the previous bad reviews I’d heard I steered clear of anything fancy and opted for a chicken burger with fries. It was tasteless, cardboard chicken on a stale bun and the fries, while tasty, were too few… there were maybe 8 in a little bowl on the plate. I realize I’m in a brew pub but they need to expand their wine selection… they had NO Sauv Blanc in a glass. The service was good compared to what my expectations were. For a large group of 25 we were served quickly and we were checked on enough to not have to wait for a refill. Would I go back? Maybe for a beer on the patio in summer or perhaps for a hockey game, I would not be going back for the food.

the food and atmosphere is still great, but writing this, 10÷12÷13, the wifi is not working. it’s there, but the router is messed up… I DID offer to fix it, but i don’t think they took me seriously… The evenings here are electric, especially when hockey is going, and either Toronto is losing and their opponent is winning, or when Ottawa is on(I see this hockey thing is really big in Canada, just kidding, I am quite well aware of the sentiment towards hockey). If you show up after 8 or 8:30pm on a weekend evening, you may very well be waiting for a table indoors, the outdoor patios had tables open, but with winter fast approaching, I think it’s going to be closed off for the winter soon. The bar was completely full when I showed up, from the 6 screen combined TV view on the wall, around the sides to the other end of the bar. and all of the tables and booths except 1 booth were taken, and I don’t know how many tables were occupied upstairs. The only drawback to this one, are the washrooms being upstairs(or perhaps designed with evil in mind for those that have had a few too many??) The décor is great, the atmosphere is fantastic, the menus look like local newspapers, and the servers do get quite busy when it’s packed, but they don’t forget about you.

Well despite the lack of some options it was a great place to eat. I had decided to call ahead and make a reservation because I knew it would be busy. The guy that answered the phone took my reservation said everything was set. Well when we got there the hostess tells me they do not take reservations. But they still found a nice booth in the bar area in front of the massive screens. At drink ordering time we placed our order, 5 minutes later the server came over and told us they didn’t have the ingredients to make a Pina Colada for our friend. NOBIGDEAL! Then I ordered the fish and chip. She came back again. NO fish and chips. She recommended the Texan Burger. I took that but asked for sweet potato fries. No SPF! Then we ordered dessert. My wife and I ordered the brownie and ice cream and our friends ordered the crème brûlée. she came back again, no CB! so we cancelled our dessert also. 2 minutes later they had some crème brûlée and our brownie. All in all the food was fantastic and the service was great. I am giving them a break because they have only been open for a week. My burger was tasty and big. I ordered the sampler of beer and that was great despite the Blueberry chocolate beer. didn’t taste anything like either. I will be returning.

Giving the place«only» a 4 star because I have not tried the food yet. Will reconsider the score after next visit :-) This place is AWEsome! It’s HUGE and bright! They just opened their doors on Monday July 22nd. We went in for drinks before the movie started across the plaza, as we have been watching them build this place and really wanted to see how it turned out. The main floor is big — and then they have an upstairs that’s like a veranda — all big and wide and open concept. Big TVs all around too and a sound system. Lots of seating, barstools around the bar. I can tell you that the bartenders are all friendly! They brew their own beer there(how did you guess?) and I tried a dark chocolaty beer that was very tasty. Hubby ordered a bitter beer that really lived up to its name(too tart for me!) The 3 Brewers also offers a sampler, where you get 5 or 6 small glasses all together at once, of a variety of beers to try out in little glasses that are about 3 inches high. These were very popular while we visited. At the moment, I’m actively looking for an excuse to go back — I want to try out the food and their service. One downer this visit(why oh why does it always come back to the restroom?!) There was one washroom on the main floor, which is wheelchair accessible — AND… unisex! One stall?! Are you serious?! In a place that sells beer and alcohol, not to mention coffee?! I do not know if there are others located elsewhere. I hesitated to go in there because I thought it was only for people with disabilities, but no — I was directed to use it. Go figure! More research to do in this regard too.
