Stopped by this place since one of my favourite breakfast gems across the street was closed today. I wouldn’t choose to spend money here again for breakfast, but drinks definitely! I am giving it two stars because the staff were friendly, attentive & checked on us multiple times. The Grateful Fed also knows how to make a mean piece of toast, this would be the highlight of the breakfast food. And I would say everything else was a fail. From the warm orange juice to the medium eggs in the Benny being hard cooked. The food was edible, but nothing special. Kelowna is a culinary delight, spend your breakfast money at other places.

This is a greasy spoon. They had run out of food, so they couldn’t serve us some of the menu items. Then they ran out of everything, so they closed early. On Sunday. Before 1 pm. The food was okay. I probably wouldn’t make any special effort to go again, but definitely functional. And probably very cool if you’re into music posters.

Nice patio and classic music, waiter was helpful. Only complaint was I was hoping that they would have local craft beer selection. The only choice was Kokanee and Alexander Keith’s

Montréal smoked meat? No way. Stringy, chewy… and for some reason they roll it up in a ball before they put it in your sandwich! Where did they get that idea? This restaurant wouldn’t last a week in Montréal. Don’t do it if you can’t do it right. Server was baked out of his mind — you would have to be to eat there.

It was amazing! The waitress was super friendly and the food was crazy good I wanted everything on the menu! I couldn’t even finish the Don Henley burger it was huge! And the décor is rad, all rock and rollish with things all over the walls and tables! I’ll be going back again and again and again!

Stopped in here randomly for some nibbles and apparently they have some good Thursday night specials. We ordered the nachos with beef and were happily surprised at how good they were. The chips were a touch salty but the rest was perfect! The beef was cooked just right so that it wasn’t dry but didn’t make any of the chips soggy at all! Lots of cheese and other veggie toppings. My only improvement would be to add some kind of spicy pepper as I like a little spice. The guacamole was smooth and tasty. My partner ordered the beans appetizer, also on special and thought they were super tasty. He said he would have liked it if the beans were cooked to be a little crispier but the sauce on top was a win. My drink was also tasty. I was too full to finish off my chicken tacos which were basic but good. The next time we are in kelowna we’ll stop in and try something else here.

Played here on a tour from Vancouver with the Nick Gee band. The staff were super awesome and very accommodating. Food is very good and the prices are great! Leigha, our server, provided rockstar service with a smile! Karim whipped up some amazing food that really hit the spot, even with two vegetarians in the band.

Upon the recommendation of the nice guy renting ice skates at the outdoor skate rink, we popped in for breakfast the next morning. The recommendation was very specific… Get the Benedict. We walked in and were greeted by a happy Canadian girl(is there anyone in Canada who isn’t nice and happy) and we’re told to sit anywhere. A quick glance over the menu and the Benedict was located… Not one, but 5 variations. I settle on the Montréal. I mean, smoked meats sounds delish. I wait for my meal and the overly nice waitress brings the most perfect eggs Benedict ever. Runny egg white make me ill, violently, but these were perfect. The potatoes were crispy, not soggy. A nice little find I would gladly eat at again

Best service in town, by Leah(period). Very good breakfast and Caesars… I had the Montréal Smoked Meat hash with two eggs and toasts. Yummy. The décor is fantastic with rock memorabilia from Joplin to The Eagles, The Beatles… concert porters with $ 4 admissions(a few years old). The selection of music is great and not load allowing for good conversations.

Get out before it’s too late! And don’t order the coffee unless you like brown water. Hollandaise was disgusting.

We found this place by accident as we were originally going to go to The Bohemian Café but it was a 45 minute wait. Let me just say we could have waited the 45 minutes, ate, and left for the amount of time we waited for our food at The Grateful Fed. When we were seated, our waitress came and took our drink order. She was rude an almost put off that she had to serve us. I told my friends that we may have made a mistake and yup, did we ever. That was the last time we saw our server until we had to pay. Other servers helped us but they were all rushed. Two of us ordered clubhouses and two others ordered an omelette and eggs. We waited over 45 minutes to get the food. The easiest meals to make. When we asked how long for our food, the waitress said, «Most people are happy to wait this long for their food.» What!!! So she puts it on us saying to be grateful we get to eat there. Unbelievable. We finally got out meals and it was disgusting. The clubhouses tasted like they had been sitting for 30 minutes. Bread was dry and stale. The Spanish omelette was more than likely made wrong as none of the ingredients were in there that was described. So $ 80 later, horrible food and service, 1.5 hour lunch, we weren’t happy. Stay far away from there and wait for Bohemian Café.

Happy St. Patti’s day. On my last day of my short trip in Kelowna, on the advice of several Unilocalers, I popped into The Grateful Fed for brunch. As you guessed, the décor is filled with rock music memorabilia including ticket stubs from Supertramp, posters of U2, The Beatles, Nirvana, The Doors, Miles Davis… And of course, The Grateful Dead. As I studied at some of the event posters I marveled at the fact that shows used to cost only $ 4.50. Oh how times have changed. The service is really pleasant. The owners daughters were helping out and very attentive and courteous. I ordered the Florentine Benny with the festively green hollandaise sauce. Funny enough, I was missing one egg and she noticed it when she lay the plate on the table. When she brought it to the attention of the kitchen, I could hear the chef in the back giggle that the missing poached egg had slipped off the plate and that’s it’s happened before. One egg was medium and the other was soft; I had asked for both of them to be soft. But they were just so nice and sweet I didn’t see a point of raising a fuss. The hash browns were awesome — not soggy and just slightly crispy. It was enough food to fill me up but didn’t put me over the edge. I’d come here again because of the service and because i appreciate another person’s passion for music. The food is very well priced. Today’s special was the traditional benny for $ 5.99. There are deals here and there — if you come by for drinks after your show and give them your ticket stub, there’s a little something in it for you. On Thursday nites they have a live DJ. The Grateful Fed felt like a place that is part of the community and if that’s true, then it’s a lovely community, indeed.

Was in kelowna on our way to big white, after a long drive we were looking for something to eat. Seeing as nothing opens before 5pm in kelowna for dinner we saw this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I was with a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed their meal, I had the montreal smoked with half salad /half fries. Everything came promptly service was good and so was my sandwich. Its not going to compare to montreal itself but still good, I’ll definitely come back. BTW this is an adults only place
