White Spot – Kelowna

My friend and I went for lunch over a week ago. She ordered Asian Chicken salad, I ordered Legendary burger. Her salad came with chopped up lettuce that was BROWN. How old I can’t imagine. We showed the waiter, he looked as if he didn’t know what to do. Asked him to speak to the manager, he never came to our table to apologize. They did take the salad off the bill. My burger had sauce, thin beef patty and 2 pickle slices. Tomato and cheese would be extra (cost $ 11. and change). Not worth $ 11. We each had a cup of coffee, $ 3.25 each! Outrageous price, this was NOT fine dining. Wasn’t even good coffee. Along with this was was a child at a booth close by screaming every few minutes, I do mean screaming. The waiter was asked to speak to them but he didn’t. We will never go to another White Spot. I remember how good White Spot used to be, no longer. I reviewed them on their website, I have not received any response to this day.

Only one star as it won’t let me post zero stars. Worst dining experience ever, avoid this place like the plague.
No service for 20 minutes after getting seated, table had no cutlery or settings. Never got asked about ordering drinks, had to find someone to order anything and even then they brought the wrong drinks. When food arrived half of it wasn’t even what we ordered. Could understand mix ups if it’s busy but it was only mid afternoon and not that busy with what appeared to be sufficient staff.
Waitress was MIA and never seen after bringing food, we actually had the table close to us get us cutlery after they complained to a manager about their service. No one brought us a bill and when we finally found a manager they did apologize, but when you’re a family of five with three kids it’s this kind of experience that ensures you never go back again.
I’ll personally never go to another White Spot again it after this one.

With two young children, we go to White Spot a lot. And usually the service is ordinary. However on visit to this location with our party of 10 — 6 kids 12 and under and four adults we were pleasantly surprised.
Our server, Jamie, was super attentive and professional!
The food was the same as all White Spots, but the service here was EXTRA-​ordinary.

The bacon, Brie, beet burger is absolutely fantastic. What wonderful combination for a burger!

I’ve probably gone to this restaurant hundreds of times over the years. I can’t ever recall a bad experience. The food and service have always been top notch. Our family can always rely on a meal experience being great at this white spot!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE
I ate at the White Spot in central Kelowna yesterday and was horrified by the service we received. We didn’t get the name of the older female bartender but she would not allow us to order drinks (not even water) when we were forced to wait for almost an hour to be seated in the LOUNGE. When we decided to leave for somewhere else, they convinced us that it would only be a short wait. We believed them but the wait just got longer and longer. There were tables available, however the servers were apparently preoccupied with talking by the bathrooms to clear them so we could sit. When we finally were seated our server forgot our coffee, never refilled our waters, and rang in two of our orders completely wrong. There was probably a good 40 minutes where we didn’t see her at all… After everything that went wrong in this White Spot we had been sitting there for two and a half hours! Our server never even apologized for her terrible service. The only form of «apology» we received was from the bartender mentioned above, which consisted of her giving us a disgusted look when we told her that our food order was wrong. As well as this, three of the people in our group ordered shots, and our server told us that we were cut off because three ounces of tequila amongst a group of eight people is apparently too much. It was a terrible experience and neither our server or the foul mood bartender offered to compensate us for anything, or even offer us an apology. We all left wishing that the employees there hadn’t tried so hard to convince us to stay because we would have had a better experience at Tim Hortons.

We dropped in the restaurant to order take-​out. Service was good, but food slow to come out. The food was not great. Ribs were good, but portions small for the price. The gluten free lifestyle chicken tikka was gross. Well the chicken in it was good, but the rice and veg were overcooked and the spices on the rice (lots of dried basil) do not go well with indian tikka. I do like that they have a gluten free menu, but I don’t think I’ll be stopping here again.

No cutlery, slow slow service, brought our kids burger with no plate or nothing just stacked on top of fries on a paper basked and no it was not a pirate pack.
Bad.

We love White Spot! The burgers are a family favorite and I love the triple «o» sauce. We moved to eastern Canada and really miss the White Spot. Service on this visit was good and the restaurant was clean and attractive. The fries were a bit undercooked and the coleslaw wasn’t quite as creamy as it was in the past. All in all, it was still good and we will definitely will stop in when visiting Kelowna again.

Drink service slow — 10 min to take drink and meal order, 15 min to get drinks. 40 min+ for food from time of order. We had 2 children in our group. Waaaay to long to wait for dinner. No coffee or drink refills. Usually service has been pretty good. Very disappointed tonight. My wife and I come here often but won’t be after tonight’s experience. When paying the bill and the server asked how the meal was I told her not great with the delays etc she said it was because they had a big table come in before us. Sorry, but not my problem! Also charged us for a side of gravy we never ordered. Geesh.
